Race 2

So many hit films get they are never counted amongst the biggest of filmmakers . They have work with many stars . They have no awards either

They made the thriller genre what is in bollywood

And if it wasn't for them priyanka Chopra wouldn't be the sex goddess she is . Before aitraaz who was she

That one scene about sexual satisfaction alone was awesome
👏 👏 👏

Where's the respect

They've been called the king of thriller genre for over last 2 decades. Infact they've given back to back success. And are often mentioned in media. & have continuous gained award nominations
But off recent with giving dud like Players & Naqaab. Also critically thrashed and moderately successful Race 2. I don't think they are no longer considered top thriller directors

I was just going to say that most of the Yrf directors including yash chopra and Aditya chopra are overrated..the whole Yrf banner is overrated.. I don't remember the last time they made a movie worth watching... So none of the directors from that banner will make my list of underrated..

For me it has to be neeraj pandey and tigmanshu dhulia..
I loved a Wednesday and special 26 .. And paan Singh tomar and the saheb bewie and gangstar series were all great..
Give me a movie from these two directors any day over a Yrf banner..

That's not true. Yash Chopra is an iconic director- Waqt, Deewar, Kala Pathhar, Trishul, mashal, Darr, Lamhe, Joshila, daag, Ittefaq. These are called classics and they are!! of Indian cinema.
His worst film is JTHJ. Even veer zaara was amazing story telling.

May be you are too young. Two good movies don't allow anyone to bash the directors who had made more than 10 good movies. Bullet Raja and Deewar cannot be compared. Wait for 10 years more then compare

Most of you guys are forgetting that just because a director has made 3 good movies doesn't mean he is a great director. let these newbies direct for 3 decades and let's see whether they are consistent 😆

Saying that, i love the new directors, all of them but i always respect the body of work of famous old directors. They were consistent for decades!

Tigmanshu Dhulia and Dibakar Bannerjee for sure. Especially the former barely gets his due. I have seen most of Dhulia's work and he is brilliant.
I would have said Vikramaditya before Lootera but his Lootera garnered its rightful and very deserving praise from all the critics. So he's not underrated anymore. He just needs to click with the masses. That's all.

VM is not underrated now. Also think Dhulia is getting some recognition though Bullet Raja !
