Thakan is a copy of Imagine Tv's Jyoti

I saw few promos of Thakan starring Saba and It is pretty clear the main concept is highly copied from magine Tv's Jyoti..The same working girl eldest girl.Father is handicapped,A selfish brother who is preparing for engineering just to waste the money .A selfish younger sister.Even the mother is same ,who does not want her daughter to be married because she is the golden goose of the family.Thakan telecasted on 2012 ..Jyoti shown in 2009 ..So it is a copy .IDK if it is a remake or not ..But there is a huge inspiration ..I feel proud that I was a ardent viewer of that lovely show...even more proud now because the show actually was remade in another country ..

I had watched Jyoti. I followed it for a little while before the hero went bonkers and divorced her. Everything after that was lame.

There is Rithik Ghatak's "Megh Dhaka Tara" a bengali film with similar storyline too ..That is a classic ..But here almost everything seems copied from Jyoti

I rthink only relief will be that its not going haywire after sometime because of TRP as Pak shows has limited episodes and sticks to story . Many movies were based on the same issue .

well as far as selfish family considered it is quite a common story
so one cant tell who copied whom
i haven't seen joyti so can u plz tell me that the female lead have any love interest before her marriage or not
or she got married to man way elder to her age or not??

Yes, its the same story line.

I've seen Thakan. I've not seen Jyoti though..some parts of Thakan's storyline is similar to that of Jyoti's from whatever summary you've given of the latter. However, it's not entirely the same. I don't know if Thakan is an original script or a novel adaptation though..because the writer, Faiza Iftikhar...usually uses her novels as her screenplay.
