I would agree that majority SJ fans don't like KSG but won't agree with the reason you gave :)
There are different reasons for that.
And SJ can't be overshadowed by anyone, she has terrific presence on and off screen.
KV is no less charming personality than KSG, so he too 'could' very well overshadow her if overshadowing is the reason.
