I found a different artical on the whole Big B not being invited thing and I think people should take a look. This guy invited people that he know and got along with, he didn't invite them because they had big names or were famous. Even if he had invited the Bachans he still would have been in the nice for having the Bachans attend....give him a break. He invited people like the spot boy because he remembered them and had come to know them and like them. He might have not invited the bachans because he doesn't get along with them very well. I would also like to point the invitation cards said not to bring gifts and just bless the couple, so people should stop saying he invited so many people for the presents. I am pretty sure he is rich. By Vimla Patil 27 June 2007 (Sawf News) - Tonight is the big event in actor-politician Raj Babbar's family. His daughter Juhi Babbar, who tried her luck in Bollywood some years ago, is tying the knot with Bijoy Nambiar, a film director, in Mumbai today. After the sangeet at the J W Marriott and the mehendi at the Ramee Guestline Hotel, the grand wedding with thousands of guests is scheduled to happen today. Bijoy directed a short film called Reflections, in which Juhi and Mohanlal worked together. Mani Ratnam noticed Bijoy's work in this film and took him aboard as an assistant for his film Guru. The young pair began seeing each other in spite of the reported reservations of the Nambiar family who are orthodox Malayalees engaged in the textile export business. Raj Babbar waited for a melt down on their part and then agreed to hold the grand wedding this month. Media reports say that national celebrities like Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh will be attending the wedding. For some reason, though the entire film fraternity has been invited, Amitabh Bachchan and Amar Singh have been conspicuously left out. 'My father is very particular about maintaining relationships," Juhi Babbar says in Bombay Times, "Even if he remembers a spot boy from some old film, he'd call him."
After the Mumbai wedding, a reception will follow in Kerala at a resort owned by the Nambiar family on July 1st. Raj Babbar will hold one more reception in Agra, his constituency, on July 6, 2007.
