Anandi and Shiv both had confessed their love for each other. Anandi knew that she was Shiv's first and only love and she also came to know that Shiv's voice was the one she had fallen in love with when she was 15 years old. She too had loved only him and none other. They both were now eager to make their marriage complete by taking it to the next level. Shiv had expressed his wish but Anandi was on her periods so they could not go ahead with it. Three whole days had passed and in these days Anandi and Shiv spent many stolen moments with each other. They had cute little phone conversations when they were both at their offices or when Shiv was still at the office and she had returned home. When they would be both at home and surrounded by family or their children they would text each other. Shiv would insist that she sit next to him at the dining table so that he could hld her hand. They did get caught by their children doing aakhon aakhon mein ishara or when Shiv would go to the kitchen to be with Anandi and suddenly some female member of the family walked in. They were enjoying their gup chup romance. They also watched classic romantic flicks in the privacy of their bedroom.

It was the morning of 31^st December 2013, Shiv woke up on smelling Anandi's frangrance spread all over the room. She had come out of the washroom freshly bathed. Shiv smiled on seeing her long wet tresses and when she looked at him she blushed. Shiv got off from the bed and hugged her from behind. "Good morning!" "Hmm itna khoobsoorat nazara dekh liya ab toh morning kya pooora din good hai mera toh." Anandi had no idea that Shiv could be flirty. They had spent moments with eachother but only on the emotional and romantic level. They were yet to have their first kiss. Shiv smelled her hair and nuzzled on her neck. She felt goose bumps all over her body. It was early and the morning and they had some time before their children woke up. Shiv hooked his finger under her chin and raised her head. He dipped in for a kiss but Anandi put her finger on his lips. He formed his lips into a pout and she giggled. "Kya hua? Morning breath?" "Jee nahi intezaar kijiye. Abhi nahi midnight ko. Naye saal ko welcome karenge hum humaare rishtey ke iss naye pehloo ke saath." Anandi indicated that on this night they would begin a new phase of their married life. "Intezaar hi toh nahi hota ab?" Shiv tried once again but Anandi stopped him. "Aapke intezaar ka bahut hi meetha phal milega aapko." She smiled and pushed him to go to the washroom. Anandi got ready and went to the home temple to do her daily pooja. She lit the diyas and also offered prasaad. She then woke up her children and got them to freshen up. This was her daily routine and she knew the exact time when Shiv would come out of the washroom after taking a bath. She rushed to the room and just as Shiv was about to open his cupboard she ran and stood between him and the cupboard.

"Anandi kya kar rahi ho? Mujhe kapde nikaalne do." Shiv tried to move her away but she did not budge. "Main hoon na mere hote hue aap kaam karenge no ways. Aap mere pati parmeshwar hain agar maine aapko kaam karne diya toh mujhe paap chadega!" "Pati parmeshwar!" Shiv asked with a shocked expression. Anandi nodded her head and smiled at him. She also closed her eyes, folded her hands and bowed in front of him. Shiv stood tehr with his hands crossed at his chest and I don't buy it look on his face. Anandi's smiled widened and she showed him her bateesi. She opened the door of the cupboard and put her hand in. She removed a hanger on which Shiv's shirt, trousers and jacket were arranged. Shiv found something off with her behavior. "Anandi ye kapde maine last week hi pehne the..." "Haan toh! Aap Udaipur ke collector hain. "Aise shak bhari nazron se mat dekhiye. Maine koi gadbad nahi ki hai." Anandi popped her eyes and told Shiv. She had mischief written all over her face. Anandi and Saumyaa were exactly the same, Saumyaa used to have the same look when she was upto some or the other gadbad. "Toh kiss nazar se dekhoon? Romantic?" Shiv pulled her in for a hug just then the door of their room flung open and she moved him away. She sent him to get dressed while she fixed breakfast. When Shiv came out of the dressing room he tried to open his cupboard but it was locked and Anandi had taken the keys with him. Shiv did not understand her behavior.

Shiv went to the office. He was in an extra special happy mood and everyone got to see his happiness. He could not stop smiling. It was the last day of 2013 all year long Anandi had taken great care of him, his home, his family and had not asked for anything in return. He decided to do something special for her. "There is no need maine kaha na!" Shiv had called up from the office and he had asked her to go to the beauty salon and get ready for the New Years party at the Army base. He had booked an all spa appointment for her. "Anandi tum bhi na wife's apne husbands se complaint karti hai that they do not pamper them and tum ho ki no means no you will go to the salon." Anandi had no choice but to do as Shiv said. In the afternoon she arranged everything the children would need for the party and also for Shiv. As soon as Anandi left for the spa Shiv came home. He had to find out what gadbad Anandi was upto. When he came to the room he saw that all the things for him were arranged on the bed. He would not need to open the cupboard and well he would not be able to because it was locked and of course the keys were with Anandi.

Everyone including Shiv was ready for the party. Anandi would arrive just in time for them to leave for the party venue. Shiv received a phone call. "Yes of course we will be there jee haan meri wife aur main dono aa jaayenge. Thank you so much for the invitation." The family heard the conversation on Shiv's end as he was being too loud. "Kya hua Shiv?" "Daddu wo actually Anandi aur main aap logon ke saath nahi aa paayegne wo humein mere ek senior officer hain unke yahaan party mein jana hai. Mahi ek kaam kar tu sabko lekar nikal. Jab Anandi aa jaayegi toh main usko lekar party ke liye chala jaoonga." "But bhai..." Shiv put his hand on Mahi's shoulder and pressed it. "No if and but Mahi. Daddu Army association ke head hain he has to be there on time. Hai na?" "Understood bhai." Mahi loked at Shiv and with his eyes pleaded to let go off him. Shiv let him go but he looked at his children and felt bad. "Soumya Saumyaa come here, I know ki aap dono mumma papa ke bina bore ho jaaoge but you know baccha ppa aapko unke saath unki wali party mein nahi le ja sakte. There only big people will be there but aap sabke saath jaaoge na there many children will be there. You have fun at the party ok." "Ok papa you too have fun mumma ke saath." The children smiled at Shiv. "Wohi toh plan hai aapke papa ka to have fun with mumma." "Mahi!!!"

Everyone left for the party. Shiv sat in the living area waiting for Anandi. He wanted to see the look on her face when she would come to know of his plan. Anandi returned from the salon dressed in the saree Shiv had dropped off at the salon. She looked stunning and elegant in the marvalous black and off white georgette party wear saree. The saree was beautifully embellished with zari, resham embroidery and patch patta work. Shiv had also selected the kind of hairstyle and make up he wanted for Anandi. He had taken great interest in her what her ensemble look should be like so that she would not have to worry about it. She was super happy with his surprise and walked straight into his arms. "Thank you so much ye sab karne ke liye." "Anytime." She looked at Shiv and he had that Soumya look on his face. She raised her eyebrows and asked him about him doing gadbad. "Gadbad who me?" Anandi was angry with Shiv and the best place for her to be was in the gazebo. It was dark in the garden but she found her way to her favorite spot. Just as she sat down on the white circular sofa the gazebo was illuminated and it looked like an after dark lounge. Shiv had decorated the gazebo with strands of twinkle lights, and diaphanous drapes. Anandi smiled on recieveing such a pleasant surprise. She understood that Shiv wanted to welcome the New Year alone with her. Shiv stood resting against the pole of the gazebo. She saw him and stood up from her palce. She went to him and caressed his face. She hugged him for the surprise and also gave him a quick peck on the cheek. Shiv was pleasantly surprised by her taking the first step. He was happy that she did. Shiv put his hansd forth and she slipped her hand in his. They took a romantic walk in the garden. She was busy looking at the decoration not only of the gazebo but also the entire garden. Shiv had put angel lights on the trees and they looked like stars had fallen on the earth. He had hung lanterns from the trees. The lighting not only illuminated the space but also added plenty of decorative flourish. There were glass hurricanes on the ground which had pillar candles in them. Anandi and Shiv lit the candles not only illuminating the garden but also their lives. They went and sat in the gazebo. Anandi rested her head on his shoulder and they entwined their fingers. They sat there enjoying the silence and each others company. Words were not required to express what they were feeling in that moment.

"Chalen?" "Kahaan?" "Party toh abhi shuru hui hai. Yaad hai college mein party ke baad ki after parties." Shiv took Anandi inside the house and up the staris t the terrace. "Welcome to the terrace restaurant overlooking the lake." It was yet another surprise for Anandi. Shiv was all set to pamper her and she loved every bit of it. The Kesar Buag terrace had a very beautiful and elegant dcor and at night when the lights were on it was breath taking. Shiv had just made tiny changes by scattering red and white rose petals. On the far end of the terrace from where the lake could be seen was set a table for two. Shiv had asked his friend the owner of Anandi's favorite restaurant to arrange for a romantic meal for 2 and also to send over servers. Anandi and Shiv enjoyed a 4 course romantic dinner without any interruptions. The servers left after making arrangements for dessert. Anandi and Shiv sat on the lounger and enjoyed their dessert. It was a perfect evening just one thing they missed was a song and dance. Anandi asked Shiv if he could do one more thing for her and that was to sing her a romantic song. Shiv agreed only if she would sing with him. He went and got his guitar from the bedroom.

Shiv put his guitar aside and came to Anandi who was sitting on the chair enjoying the special performance. Shiv asked her hand for a dance. She gladly agreed. She snaked her hands around his neck and he locked them at her lower back. They began to sway to the music only their hearts heard.

The family returned and they heard the lovebirds singing their love song. They were happy to see the decorations of the garden and also got a glimpse of the terrace decoration from down below. The children had already slept on the way back from the party. The family decided not to make Anandi and Shiv aware of their arrival so they could have a carefree night being lost in eachother.

Anandi and Shiv gazed into each others eyes and continued to dance. Anandi was so lost in Shiv that she forgot that her lyrics were up. She had to sing. He snapped his fingers in front of her eyes to snap her out of the loveland she was in. They continued to dance. She pulled away from him and he pulled her back.

Anandi:

Shiv:

Anandi and Shiv finished the song with a perfect twirl and she buried herself in his arms. They stayed like that for quite some time. "I am sorry Shiv." "Kya? Kya kaha tumne?" "I am sorry..." "Nahi uske baad. Uske baad kya kaha tumne?" "Uske baad..." Anandi blushed as she realized for the first time she called Shiv by his name that too on his face. She turned away from him. He came from behind and hugged her. "Ek baar phir se kaho na." "Kya? I am sorry." "Nahi mera naam. Mujhe mere naam se pukaro na." "Kyun? Main aapka naam loon ya na loon kya fark padta hai?" Shiv was moving towards the room when Anandi caught his hand. "Kya hum aaj se humaare room mein so sakte hain?" Shiv smiled and Anandi blushed.

Shiv lifted her in his arms and brought her to his den. Shiv's den was actually his bedroom from childhood which he had had renovated before he went to London to do his MBA. He had decided for the two of them to live in after their marriage but things did not work out for them then and after they did get married time was not right. This day onwards it was perfect timing to begin their life in the room they were supposed to. He stood outside the den with Anandi in his arms. "Neeche utariye mujhe koi dekh lega." "Dekhne do meri biwi ho! Koi gair nahi. Ye room ka darwaza locked kyun hai... Right tumne kiya tha kyun?" "Mujhe neeche utariye aur aap please ek baar bacchon ko dekh lijiye. Jaaiyen please I promise aapko aapkse har sawal ka jawaab mil jaayega." Shiv put her down and went to check on the kids. They were not in their room. He assumed that they must have slept in one of the other couple's room. He was relieved from their side and so he decided to go to the room. Before going to the room he stopped by the kitchen. Shiv came to the room with a smile on his face. The door of the room was closed. When he opened the door...
