I've noticed one thing with Shampa's acts with Ashish this season- it's been more so about the concept in terms of theme/story/message and NOT about dance.
There have been very few acts for these two were the make-up/hair/costumes are not over the top; it's almost as if she's trying to cover up the dance with other aspects of story telling. Bhavana did wonders with simply the music the the movements- there was hardly any distraction.

Shampa has done this a few times with Ashish but never consistently; the balance between dance and concept for Shampa and Karan's performance was MIND Blowing, perfectly in terms of story telling and actual dance- why isn't she doing this consistently throughout? It's obvious that Ashish has plateaued but instead of trying to get back to the fundamentals- dance and movements- she's still over extending herself with trying to come up with a mind blowing concept/story but failing to build the concept/story based on the DANCE first. Grrr! It's just irritating because Ashish is a decent dancer and under a Choreo like Shampa should have shown much more improvement; instead it's getting erily familiar. Karan on the other hand has shown TREMENDOUS improvement regardless of so many Choreo-changes!
