The episode looked good inspite of many lapses in writing. As rohini said - the first thing that the security would do is to evacuate the place after bomb scare and after thorough check (and only after neutralizing the bomb) can the programme be allowed to continue. But this is a serial and dramatic effect has to be there and the hero would save at the last time only. DC cannot be incharge of security - the work of police/SPG - but in serials, hero has to do many works.

But they could have called bomb experts because they knew about planting of bomb - still it is better that they will show throwing of bomb instead of the hero going all the way to defuse the bomb himself.

When that fellow started to run from the bathroom after Shiv started to follow him, the bathroom should have got more attention and more focus.

Some of the commandoes are also trained to find bombs and tackle especially as CM is on par with PM at state level.

Commandoes, police , special task force, etc are all dumb people when compared to collector. The collector is so smart that he can handle such a bomb planted in couple of minutes, but when someone else plants some thing to his wife, it takes days and days to find that. I think if this bomb was planted with the soecial expertise of DB, collector couldn, t have been so successful... 😉
