Hello everyone, making a post after a very long time. But want can I do I am convinced to make this post. Now first I know that the title is a bit bad. But I really mean it. I have seen women around me being tormented. I have three incident to share.
Incident 1 - In my locality there is this woman whose husband treats her is the worst way possible. He beats her, mercilessly. You can see marks on her face and her body as well. He abuses her and her family in the worst of hindi abuses some of the society member told that he said bad words to his wife's mother and sister. and this lady she never speaks a bit against him. I mean literally not even a single word is heard. She works but the husband wastes all her money in bets and gambling. He passes nasty comments on the society girls but none of them slaps him back. Leave the slap they don't even speak against all this.

Incident 2 - My landlady daughter, she studies in some university. Where some guy called her a w**re in front of the whole collage because she refused him when he proposed her. He even said bad words to her mother and other family ladies.

Incident 3 - The most disappointing I have witnessed. A student says the he has sexual feelingsfor his teacher in front of the whole class and when the teacher slaps him, again abuses to the teacher and other family ladies. But the teacher does not speaks a bit against it.

Now how disappointing are all these conditions. And the worst thing is the in all these cases leave the victim no one is ready to raise a voice against all this.

The only difference is the Draupadi stood up against the injustice everytime but all these are silent. Let me remind every man who is reading this post the everytime a woman is looked with a wrong sight it will spark destruction.

And to every woman reading - Don't be the Draupadi who is silent be the one who fights against injustice if Draupadi in Dwaparyug could fight against all this why can't we who are living to Kalyug where woman have a much larger horizon of freedom. Don't this of yourself as weak because you are not alone Krishna is always with you but remember God helps only those who helps themselves.

Amazing post di 😊
My di is back with a bang 👏👏👏
What I feel is that women nowadays do feel the need to revolt or take a stand against what's happening to them, but they can't because of pressurizing by society 😕
This incident happened to my friend as well, she wanted to raise a voice against rape that she faced, but couldnt because if the talk spread in society, her parents feared no one would marry her 😡🤔
But coming to draupadi, she was fire 😆 Oooh my that lady sets an example to every woman around the globe.
And yes, every woman is Draupadi, or more like Draupadi is every woman.

Thanks Manya... You are back after a long time. I feel sorry to hear about your friend. Truly every woman needs to stand against this shameless society.

Great post...

However I would like to point that every woman is not Draupadi.
If u look at the attitude of some women around...they r just as bad as misogynist men.
There r women who think that Draupadi deserved to get molested.
Then there r other women who torture their daughters-in-law or support their own son in abusing his wife.

So, I guess this plight of women will change only if other stop women being biased n hypocritical.
And as long as women dont support the cause of other women, we cannot expect men to do it for us.

😊

not every woman is draupadi, but the most of the men i have seen(online and in reallife) are not different than kauravas. the reason is the same, blind love or mamatva.

nice post and felt sad listening to the stories of women you shared.
Having said that i bet there would many such unnamed and untold stories existing in india where women are just treated as some objects and nothing more. I had a friend whose father was a chain smoker and wife beater too . She shared with me her story.. You know what i commend about her and say proudly that she inspite of all different views and worst situations at home, she is a strong and independant woman who runs her household with her own income with her father doing nothing for them. Yes things changed when she decided to take the call for her mother. I have seen her battling her emotions and proudly defeating her fears. There are many inspirations like them ..Some unsung heroes are always there like draupadi who raise their voice and probably fight for justice.
Every girl or woman must have faced lustful eyes on road or some sleezy comment on street. I myself remember facing it on road.. and you know what I did.. I refused to stay quiet then ..coz if I would have...probably I wont have forgiven myself. it is about dignity of woman.. if there are men who cant respect that then there is a need to make them respect it.. You cant rely on others for your safety and neither this thinking will change abruptly.. We need to first respect ourselves... and not regret being a woman but be proud of this fact that we are God's most sensitive and emotional beings... if we are capable of sacrifice ,we are also capable of taking one too... Respect women around you .. your mothers ..your sisters...your friends... and make your children respect them ..

I feel bad/sad when I hear these stories.
Where women have been respected , there has always been peace, growth and prosperity.
Parents play a major role in upbringing of their children. Is there a problem in our society where moral values are forgotten or not taught from childhood ? Is media partly responsible ?

This is where Etihasas/Puranas like Ramayan, MB, SB give us the right direction.

Not every woman is Draupadi, just as some members have pointed out.

The condition of women in today's world is so painful..not everyone dares to raise her voice against the ill conducts against her. Who needs to be held responsible for that? Society and its cheap thinking concerning women ofcourse! They never bother about the wrong doers but leave no stone unturned in causing ill to the innocent victims.
