Well, that's what Sooraj Barjatya wanted. It seems the director was keen on Sonakshi Sinha playing the lead opposite Salman Khan in his next venture, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo. However, Salman wanted a fresh pairing for the film and politely asked Sooraj to single out on another girl. Hence, Sonam Kapoor landed the part. Salman and Sonam do make an exciting new pair to watch out for!

Good, Salman made a good decision. I like sonakshi

Sonakshi is way better actor than Sonam will ever be. Sad she lost out on the role because of that reason.

Salman was right to make that decision. Fresh pairing is always more exciting.

I am happy that atlast Sonam also got a good & big banner movie, which she was striving for years, as these Deepus peecee kat etc were getting all of the plum projects since last several years leaving nothing in Sonam's kitty to look forward for.
and she always endedup getting medium budgeted badly directed movies ...how come she could have cameout of the image of a fashionista if the industry never gave her great chances at all as comapred with her contemporaries, to begin with ...give the poor girl some opportunity & proper big platform to showcase her talent & aura.

Wasnt the competition between Sonam and DP. Yeh Sonakshi beech mein kaise aa gayi?
