Already having been made into a hit 1970's classic film Chitchor, a television remake of this Subodh Ghosh's novel will surely bridge generation gaps. The film adaptation. Of the novel revolved around four people Sunil, Geeta, Meera and Vinod. The interesting love square could easily be recreated with a cast of Karan Mehra, Ankita Lokhande, Sanaya Irani and Ashish Sharma respectively.

I read the plot of the movie and there is no mention of any love quadrangle in it...in fact meera has no role in it.The movie is like Prem ki diwani hoon and meera's role is like tanaaz irani's role in it.Why should sanaya do this😕kuch bhi😆

Thanks for sharing...not sure about indian novels...
but Ashish and Sanaya will be awesome as Frederick Wentworth and Anne Elliot from Jane Austen's Persuasion...(I'm rereading it...and I'm totally picturing them in Hindi adaptation)
I never would've considered Sanaya for Anne before RR...but after her brilliant portrayal of Paro...I can see no one else as Anne...
And Ashish's Major Ranawat was superb...so no second guesses for Captain Wentworth.
