Rachana comes out of her office after a hectic day.. She sees her driver waiting outside for her... She fumes on Granny and thinks loudly, "How many times I have to make her understand that I want to be an independent girl.. She always sends Ramesh kaka to pick me.. ". She sits in the car and says, "Kaka take me to the.." Driver completes "Hospital... Rachu beti.. u dnt need to remind me daily.. I know u want to meet our Adi baba!! U dnt worry beta he will be fine..". Rach smiles in reply.. She remembers the day when Aditya was born.. She was 9 years old and was dancing in the home screaming.. "My little bro is arriving today.." She was just 4 when she arrived in her home.. Her parents never let her feel that she is adopted one.. She doesn't remember much about her orphanage but she knows that from a poor place she had came to some palace... He parents were known industrialist but due to some prob they dint had any child.. Rach fulfilled that emptiness in their house but after 5 years of treatment and god's grace they were blessed with a son... But they never let Rach feel like an outsider.. She was the eldest child of the house and remained the child till their death... They died in an accident.. Rach still remembers the last word of her mother, "Rachu.. Adi is now ur responsibility.. now u have to be her mother.. Ur father made sure that u do not suffer economically but u have to support each other.. Never let him miss his parents." With this her mother died... Her father died on the spot.. She was just 19 years old and she had become a mother of 10 year old boy. Relatives came to support them but all were greedy for the money that her parents left for them... She showed everyone their place and learned the business... She started working in her father's company with help of a loyal employee but dint left her studies... She was studying media coz of her love camera but now that has just become a way of her completing graduation... She had decided to join MBA after it and make her father proud but destiny had decided something else for her...
Ramesh applies brake outside the hospital and she comes out of her memories.. She goes towards Adi's room and peeps at Adi through the glass.. A 16 year old guy is lying on the bed covered in all machinery and wires.. Rach feels like his brother is sleeping and will call her soon.. She hears Adi saying "Di.. stop it else I won't give u ur gift!!"
Flashback
Rach remembers the last Rakhi they celebrated together... Rach was worried for Adi as he has started behaving strangely.. She looks around his room one night when she has gone for a sleepover at his frn's place and found money in his pocket.. She worries and decide to ask him tomorrow... Next day was Rakhi.. they celebrated it together... Rach was teasing him and not letting him have the sweet when he whines "Di.. stop it else I won't give u ur gift..". Rach wonders gift.. Adi replies proudly, "Yes.. this time I have bought gift for u.. I have saved it from my pocket money.." Rach smiles on hearing this and feels relieved on hearing that the money was from his saving. She sees her kurti brought by Adi and goes to change it when she notices some powder in Adi's bag. She takes it out and realizes that Adi is taking drug.. She frowns on Adi but calms herself and decides to talk to Adi...
Flashback Ends
Someone taps her on the shoulder, she comes out of the past and it's Adi's doctor asking her the reason for standing outside.. She avoids answering and goes inside the room. She smiles on seeing Adi and shows her the dairy milk..
Rachana : See Adi.. I have brought this chocolate for u.. u remember how much u fought with me for bringing this chocolates for u.. U were like stop giving me this girly gifts.. I am grown up now.. See today I have also brought this girl gift for u.. N I am waiting for the time when u will again fight with me.. Till than I will enjoy eating it alone.. n u know Adi what.. Next week we are going to celebrate ur 16th birthday.. U know how special this 16th birthday is.. U remember my 16 th birthday..
She continue talking to him for a while..Sharing her day, past and everything just like the way she used to share it with Adi when he was fine. Adi's nurse looks at them emotionally. She tells Rach to go home as it's too late and she will make sure that Adi is fine here. Rachu nods and leaves after kissing Adi on forehead.. While leaving the hospital she remembers the day when she confronted Adi for taking drugs.
Flashback
Rach is worried for Adi as she has seen Adi taking the drug from the packet which she found in his bag.. She decides to confront him and takes him to their favorite place.. a park where they used to come with their parents.. They sit on a bench where Rach asks Adi to share everything with her as she is her best friend... Adi shares everything about her school, friends but skipped drugs.. Rach asks him whether he is hiding something from her... Adi understands Rach's hints and bows his head down.. She cups his face lovingly and tells him that she is not angry on him but on herself that he failed to fulfill her promise.. She failed to become her mother and failed to stop her from going on wrong path.. Adi doesn't reply when a tear fell down on his wrist.. he looks up and sees tears in Rach's eyes. He wipes it and apologize saying, "Sorry di.. U dnt cry.. Till now I have never seen tears in ur eyes.. Not on mom-dad's death and today u r crying for me.. Leave it di.. I promise I won't take drugs anymore..". Rach smiles on this and hugs her bro. She knew that her brother never makes wrong promises to her. She wants to know from where he got the drugs when Adi tells her that a guys was selling it in his school. Rach decides to talk to higher authorities of the school so that other kids doesn't suffer because of this. They reach home happily.
Two days have passed.. Addiction is breaking Adi slowly but Rach was there to help her. Granny was also helping them.. Rach has consulted some doctor as well. Adi was having tough time to leave the addiction but he has not broke his promise. Rach has to go out for his business meeting. She refuses to go but Adi convinces her somehow. Unwillingly she goes out. It was 3 days trip.. She made sure that she is talking with Adi quite often as he needs her. Adi pretended to be fine on call but he was having tough time in avoiding drugs.. On the day of return, she gets a call from his home.. she drops the receiver on the ground and runs towards the car.. She completed 3 hours journey in just 1 hour and all this while only Amma's word were echoing in her mind, "Rach.. come home fast.. Adi has tried to commit suicide and he is in hospital."
She finally reaches hospital and sees Adi in this condition... Amma holds her and gives her a letter. She reads it..

I am sorry di that I am leaving u like this but plz do not cry on my departure.. Ur smile will make me happy else I will be always pained to see tears in ur eyes..

Rach wipes her tears on reading it and says to Amma... "No I won't cry.. I can't see Adi in pain but I know Adi can't leave me. He will survive.. My bro is not weak but a fighter and he will win this battle."
Just than doctor arrives and tell Rach that they have removed the poison from his body but he has slipped into coma.

She sits in the car and tells Ramesh to drop him at Rehab.. Ramesh sees the watch and reminds her that it's too late and she can go tomorrow. Rach agrees as she knows that Granny is waiting for her.. She wears her smile again and reaches her home.

Romi who is waiting outside rehab center for her is getting impatient. Maya tells her to chill as John uncle plan can never fail. He recalls how he met John in the morning and asked about the plan.
Flashback
John tells Romi that he has to leave his drinking habit.. Rami shockingly replies that he doesn't drink daily but only on occasions but John repeats, "No u r an addict and u have to leave ur addiction and for that we are sending u to the rehab center with our police woman Maya. Now it's upto u how u do friendship with their volunteer cum reporter Rachana. U have to come close to her and win her trust so that she can share all the information she has about the drug racket and kill her after that. Make sure that u do it in such a manner that no one can doubt u. "
Romi nods in yes but something inside him keeps on saying that it's not right but he suppresses voice of her heart as he believes he has no heart.
