Priceless

Walking in heels was a bad idea.

Walking in heels, in rain, was an even worse idea.

Walking in heels, in rain, with the person you hate? Horrible idea!

"You know, I could have walked home on my own," she grumbled, as she clutched her drenched lehanga.

She had attended a puja in Shantivan. Since the cars had been otherwise occupied, she had offered to walk home.

Anjaliji had made a counter-offer of having him walk her home.

The clouds had opened up halfway through. Like she said, horrible!

"I don't fancy spending time with you, either," he snipped.

"I can walk alo...oh!"

Before she could finish her sentence, she stepped into a puddle and stumbled.

He caught a hold of her arm and pulled her towards him, to steady her.

Her face flushed at their proximity.

Seeing her blush, he smirked and asked "Are you always this clumsy, or is it just an excuse to feel me up?"

Letting out an outraged gasp, she pushed him away and said " I wasn't feeling you up! I stumbled, remember?"

"On purpose?"

He continued walking, leaving her looking like a fish out of water.

Her face when she was annoyed? Priceless!
