In between the constant arguments of Shakti winning JDJ for her brilliant dancing or Ashish as he is a Colors star you are missing out on Karan Tacker, Yes you heard that right it will be Karan Tacker who will win the show. Before you bracket me into his die-hard fan group let me tell you that im not one!
Though he seems all genuine & well behaved most of the time. Don't mistake it for him being naive. He's the smartest contestant out there. His winning journey is being scripted to perfection. Before you jump your guns at me let me point out few glaring points about his jhalak journey.
1. If you go back & see his initial interviews of jhalak, he has mentioned a couple of times of Drashti being a major motivating factor in convincing him to sign the dotted lines. He's very close friends with Drashti & i'm sure Drashti helped him by giving him all the inside details of the voting pattern & contestants journey. What works for a contestant & what doesnt. Out of all the contestants if anyone had the best information about it all then it is Karan Tacker.
2. All the hullabaloo over him having to suffer regular change in choreographers, he brought it on himself. In one of the interviews with a channel he speaks about channel informing him of an international choreographer they wanted for him. If KT was not comfortable at that point in time he would have rejected. But he took up the offer as he knew that would get him little more audience as Elena is a well known international choreographer. Both the channel & KT thought it to be a win-win situation and international choreographer will be introduced with much required bang but alas it boomeranged due to Elena's visa issues.
I dont blame him here, every contestant wants the best. Just pointing out that he was never in the dark about the change in choreographers. It was all decided well before. He knew that suchitra was his partner only for that one week.
Elena was always his partner. Never the one who came up with the concepts. She did get in her inputs about the dancing style on the table with the vast experience she has. Nishanth was the one who was helping out KT right from the initial practice days. Even after Elena came, that continued. Elena gave inputs due to her knowledge on dancing forms.
He still stayed in news with Elena as his partner due to all the offscreen camaraderie + pr.
3. Elena did not go due to personal work (Her mom's last dance). she was replaced as things were not working out for him the way they wanted.
4. With Bhavana joining him, things worked in his favor. Here Vaibhav joined Bhavna to help her as Nishanth fractured his hand by then & could not continue.
5. He has shown improvement. But did his lungi dance performance deserve a 30? Another topic debated already. He has majorly impressed KJo & Madhuri. Judges have also gone softer on him. Not that they are being too stern with everyone. KJo is mighty impressed with him.Lol
6. Purab also non-dancer, who performed very well & out of his comfort zone with aerial act included was eliminated early on with KT still being in the competition. So if it was only based on improvement in dance, Purab should have stayed & KT been eliminated long back.
Im not saying that he should be eliminated because he is the weakest dancer currently (after kiku's elimination) nor am i saying he should win because he faced hardships. Thats just blah. Just pointing out the fact that as a contestant he was never in the dark of all that happened. he was fully aware & he has taken calculated & well informed risks. Few did not work in his favor while the others did work for him.
A celebrity does not win dance shows with public voting involved only on the basis of dancing talent. Its a good combination of their popularity+pr+their rapport+dance+improvement & in that order.
Shakti, Ashish started the show with a bang but somewhere they lost the momentum. KT has balanced it all very well. ;) He's popular, Is at the right place at the right time, Makes sure he is always in news, Has celebrity friends supporting him, his persona & friendly rapport with everyone, has shown improvement and yes dances better now. But far from the best!
