Part 25

Maan just smiled boyishly, "For you..." and pecked her lips. Guess she had to transfer the hospital visit for another day. Geet looked at him, specifically ogling at the weird man in front of her. Maan blushed at her evident stare and tugged at her elbow, "Come on now, let's eat"

Geet kept on staring at him, as Maan went on mumbling something or the other giving her the benefit of looking at him for her heart's content. He began arranging the golgappas in her plate, but suddenly stopped and frowned.

Geet frowned too, what made him upset? He was so happy a minute ago...

"You are not eating Geet" He spoke sternly, making Geet gulp. Oh, she was so turned on at that grave voice of his! Geet blushed and wrapped her hands around his neck. "I don't understand you.." She whispered in his ear, Maan pulled her closer encircling his hands around her waist. She pecked on his nose, slowly grinding on him and grinning at the strong gasp emitted by Maan.

He was oh so aware of her arousal now, as he tightened his grip around her. He was so not letting her go out of this room today now, he thought determinedly. "What don't you understand?" He whispered, his loins tightening very fast and hard making him groan, almost.

"You are-"Geet replied but was cut off as Maan forced a golgappa inside her mouth. Geet hiccupped immediately as it was too spicy, Maan looked on amused. He was so enjoying that cute frown on her face as she hiccupped again. She began coughing now, now his smile turning to a frown. He patted her back calming her down a bit, "Too spicy.." Geet whimpered between her coughing fits. Maan searched for any sweetener in his drawer but in vain. He went on pacing, as Geet scrambled for water...Maan not understanding what she said.

The water bottle was only inches away, when Maan smiled like a Cheshire cat, grinning wickedly. Pulling her by her elbow, he crushed his lips onto hers; his tongue smoothly and suavely finding its way to hers, swapping her spicy taste with his sweet one. Geet immediately wrapped her hands around his waist, "You are taking advantage of me" She mumbled on his lips, smiling. "I had no other option, Geet" He winked at her, finally letting her go as she calmed down from the aroused and spicy state. Geet pulled away and resumed eating the golgappas and Maan followed her, eating too- sometimes stealing from her hands or mouth or sometimes she fed him willingly making him grin.

Maan got up, and so did Geet. He stared at her yapping so happily about how good the taste was, yet not a single word about how thankful she was to him for buying her golgappas...now that thought made him angry...Why won't she thank him? He stared as Geet came forward and shyly pecked him on his lips and moved back... No he wanted more than just a peck...May be a full-fledged make out and.. He pulled her back staring at her demandingly...

Oh no, she had to go to the hospital...if she said no now, he was going to follow her there, she wanted to know about Vicky's betrayal first. She gently pushed him back and whispered in his ear, "the cleaning man is here Maan...Please". Thankfully the said man right at that moment, Geet sighed. She had to escape Maan for now, and get out of here. Slowly she slipped away, as Maan stared at her back, God she was such a little minx...teasing him and getting away with it. He gritted his teeth at his evident arousal, attempting to calm himself down. He glanced back to the blinds, slowly moving them apart and saw his minx moving around, though she looked like worried and pacing. What is up with her?

Maan wanted to go near her and sooth her worry now...Adi came in with some files requiring his signature as he stared at the blinds longingly. He wanted to go now!! As soon Adi went away, he ran-rushed to her cabin but it was empty! His anger rose to new levels, how could she leave when he told her not to? Why would she??

Geet looked back again as she ran looking for a taxi, hopefully Maan wasn't following her. Yet she wanted Maan to follow, he gave her that safe feeling...that secure bubble where she knew she would be safe. She knew she was plunging into deep risk, she needed his safety. Oh how much she needed him, he couldn't even fathom. Geet shook her thoughts, she had to reach the hospital as soon as possible.

He got in the standing taxi, giving him the address and relaxed back. She needed a long shower before retiring to bed today.

Sighing she paid the driver and rushed into the hospital. Every effort of hers however were in vain as the receptionist refused to give her the required information. The hard core and irritating lady even threatened to throw her out.

Dejected and shoulders hunched, she trudged down the steps slowly. How would she now find it out? Her head throbbed in pain from all the exhaustion and rush she did today and with the little of the "golgappa" breakfast she had, her stomach was now grumbling terribly. She sat down on the steps of the hospital, pondering what she should do now! She needed to extract the information somehow.

"Madam" The nervous ward boy whispered, looking around cautiously... What did he want with her, he looked like an employee of the hospital?

"Can you help me?" She asked hopefully. He gulped again, "I can arrange a meeting with her daughter, Ratika ji hates everyone who comes to visit the patient...and no one came to visit him except Khurana sahib..." He whispered fearfully. So it was a him...whom Vicky paid for.

"When can you arrange the meeting?" Geet was happy now, atleast she got some link... "I need something... I am divulging you private information Madam" He said eyeing her mother's pearl earrings she was wearing.

"I don't have money right now..." By something, she understood he needed a heavy amount which she didn't have as of now!

"The earrings..." He trailed off. Geet sighed and picked up her hand removed the studs and was about to place it in his hand, "Here take it" Rehaan said gravely, staring intensely at Geet...wondering what was she doing here. He had come here for a scheduled visit he had in the hospital but was extremely surprised, to find Geet giving off her mother's earrings and hence offered the money to the nervous man. The ward boy hid his face, took the money and passed a paper slip to Geet and ran away! Geet sighed thankfully, Rehaan wasn't able to see his face as she fisted the paper in her hand.

"What are you doing here Geet?" He asked, thankful that Maan wasn't around. He gripped her hand pulling her up from the steps, deliberately taking the opportunity to touch her- ensuring himself she was safe and okay...with Maan.

"Did you find out what I asked you?" She asked sternly, taking up a professional tone. "I need a sample..." He trailed off, he didn't need the sample; just an excuse to spend time with her. Geet nodded timidly, thankfully she had put the medicine in her purse. She handed him the medicine and said "I need the information... Rehaan it's important...to me" Rehaan you have no idea how important he is to me, she thought worriedly. He simply nodded and changed his tactic, "Is he keeping you well?" He asked cryptically. She immediately snatched her hand away from his grip, which she had no idea when he had gripped... And glared at him accusingly.

"That's none of your business.." A deep baritone grumbled beside her. Well not enough since she has been running back to you, Maan thought wistfully... Geet stepped back into his warmth, enclosing the secure feeling his arms gave out surprising both Maan and Rehaan.

"I am her doctor, Mr.Khurana" Rehaan spat stepping about and sizing him up...challenging him with his eyes to back down. The ugly monster was slowly rearing its head, as Maan's expression changed...into a dark, ferocious aura... Unconsciously Geet wrapped her arms around his and his eyes tore away from Rehaan to Geet, and then looking back to Rehaan amusedly. It was funny how Rehaan looked so lost when Geet leaned back to him. He smiled victoriously and wrapped his arms around her, it was totally worth it...the tension he carried out when Khan informed him of Geet visiting the hospital and then Handa industries. Now that worried him...

Rehaan looked on as Maan kissed her forehead, Geet fell asleep just like that in his arms...so peaceful and comfortable...she sighed. "Let's go darling" He whispered to Geet, who slept soundly in his secure arms. He carried her back to his car and placed her in the back seat.

"You stay away from her" He growled at Rehaan, shaking with jealousy and rage.

"I will if she wants me to..." Rehaan said haughtily, however he was unsure inside...Geet was so peaceful in his arms... That smile on her face...he hadn't got a glimpse of that smile in all those two and half months she stayed in coma or the next two months she visited him regularly for checkup. Was it okay pursuing her?

However one look at the dangerous aura Maan gave off, and he decided otherwise...she wasn't safe with him, he thought as if trying to convince himself. Maan gritted his teeth and stormed away in his car.

Two hours back...

"Sir... We have some trouble in Handa constructions" His secretary in HC spoke worriedly.

"What??" Maan nearly screamed, sometime through his time with Geet he literally forgot about HC. What happened now?

"Brief me with the statistics... Get all the damn finance accounts...and speak up fast!!" He ordered into the phone, scaring the hell out of the man on other side. Maan growled at the silent from other side, "Come on...speak, I am sacking you out of the job otherwise!" He threatened and the man babbled like a broken record. "Sir we doubt someone is buying up our shares... Although we have the majority...but they are nearing 49%...we have 51%..." He trailed off and sighed before continuing, "One of our warehouses... Were burnt destroying all the material we had stored for the next project...it has cost us nearly 49 lakhs... Impossible to recover sir... We have our own doubts about the man behind it... Someone from Velliger Ltd." He finished, "The man had been coming up here a few times, inquiring about a partnership or meeting with the MD of HC and two days before he had created a ruckus so we had to throw him out... and now the warehouse is burnt and shares buying..." The man explained with every drop of knowledge he had... Maan stayed silent thinking about what to do next and then spoke gravely, already Geet missing was eating him out "Pay out the loss from Khurana's account, get the whole information of Velligers and a detailed description of that man who visited..." He ordered and cut off the call as the man replied in affirmative.

He immediately called up Khan, "Find out about this Velligers...fast and what is their relation with HC... I ...think... it is related to something more personal". With the way the man created ruckus, Maan doubted the man wanted a takeover...the man has been meaning to meet the real MD all along, Geet Handa.

He needed to act fast, Geet trusted him to keep her company safe...he would do...even though he appeared weak or whipped infront of her...he owed her that...he had given her his word.

Now that he was reminded of her, where is Geet? He called up Khan again, and was informed of her hospital visit. He panicked and ran to that area with his car speeding up breaking all rules of speeding.

Maan gently placed Geet on bed and slipped back with her, "Please don't go back to him" He almost pleaded, a tear drop flew out of his eye landing on her cheek. He was so enraged, how that b*****d held her hand, he wanted to rip her hand in two halves. It pained him she was so close to that man. He wanted to be the one to hold her hand...to be close to her. He slipped back beside her, after changing into just a pair of shorts from his general business attire.

"You are my Geet...please don't go back..." For the first time he took the help of her arms to sooth his pained heart, instead of the alcohol or pills. There was this strong need to hold her tightly, to engulf her with his love...to claim her. Sadly he just satisfied his crying heart by taking her fragile and exhausted form in his arms, still in the kurti and jeans she wore in the morning.

"I know I am taking advantage of you...being asleep...forgive me" He trailed sleepily burying his mouth in her cleavage.

"Your Geet" She mumbled unconsciously...
