Its an famous classic old song but I can't get it's name ... I HV tried googling it for years now and finally discovered this forum.
Pl identify it and put me out of my misery.
The verses might be wrong because I was little boy back then and haven't heard it for about 8years...it might be the reason why I am not getting anygoogle results
The bits goes like this...

As far as I can remember it was a sort of or of "violin melody dropping"...,. I know the details are not adequate ... Pl put me out of my misery
