Hi my dear YHMians😃😃. I decided to pen down a short OS after a very long time. I know all the writers out here are super talented and I really want to honestly thank each writer for the fantastic job that you guys are doing.👏👏 You all have such superb imaginations and your stories/OS/FFs are the ones that keep the Ishra romance alive especially when we do not have many Ishra scenes on screen.😊😊 This is a small and humble effort from my side. I hope you guys like it. Also my native language is not Hindi, so please overlook the grammatical errors. Translations from Hindi to English included in brackets for folks who need it. I have also color coded the dialogues with the favorite colors of the characters: Raman=blue, Ishita=Green and Ruhi=pink. Any kind of feedback/suggestions for improvement is welcome.😊 Love you all YHMians.❤️
Scene setting: It is Ishita's birthday. Raman and Ruhi decide to do something special for her.😊 They plan to give her a small surprise at midnight. [PS: Ishita is in her green kurti.I really love that kurti of hers. Always makes her look like an angel😃😃]
It's almost 10:45 PM and Ishita is struggling to get Ruhi to sleep. Ruhi doesn't want to sleep as she wants to surprise her Ishima at night with her paapa. Raman comes into the room after changing and see's Ruhi curled up Ishita's lap hugging her tightly and refusing to sleep. He gives a naughty wink😉 to Ruhi which is missed by Ishita.
Ish: Raman dekhiye naa , Ruhi so hi nahi rahi hai. Kitni der se koshish kar rahi hoon main. Lekin woh meri baath hi nahi maan rahi hai. Kuch kijeeye na Raman. [ Raman look at this. Ruhi is not sleeping at all. i am really trying hard from a long time and she is just not listening to me. Do something na Raman]
Ra: Arrey mei kya kar sakta hoon? Tum maa hoon uski..itna bhi nahi kar sakti ho. mere saath toh bhadi jhansi ki rani bante phirte ho. Ek choti si bacchi sambhal nahi jaata tumse. [What can I do about that? You are her mother. Cant you do so much also? You try being a big jhansi ki rani in front of me and you cannot look after a small child]
Raman turns on the tv and starts watching a cricket match.
Ish: Raman so rude. You are so ruthless. Help nahi karna hai toh woh boliye na. Boliye ke aapko Tv dekhna hai. Arrey Raman atleast ruhi so jaane tak to Tv band kijeeye na please Raman. [ If you do not want to help me tell that. Just tell me that you want to watch TV. Atleast till Ruhi sleeps please switch off the TV na Raman].
Raman doesn't listen to her and again gives a slight smile to Ruhi that their plan is working.
Ish: Meri pyaari Roo beta so jao na mera baccha. Mei kal tumko ice-cream khilaongi aur shopping bhi karaaongi agar tum abhi so gaye toh. [My dear darling Ruhi, sleep my little child. I shall take you out shopping and get you an ice-cream too if you sleep like a good girl now]
Ru: Nahi Ishima mujhe nahi sona hai. Aap mujhe koi princess ki story sunao na. Dekhiye mere paas ek naya story book hai jo mujhe paapa ne kal dillaya tha. Yeh lijiye aur sunaayiye na Ishima [ No Ishima, I do not want to sleep. Please make me listen to some story of a princess, Here you go I have a new book that paapa brought me yesterday. Please Ishima tell a story to me]
Ishita and Raman look at each other and Ishita rolls her eyes at her Raavan Kumar and he gives out a smirk.😈 Ishita starts reading the story to Ruhi. While she is reading the story Raman is watching the match, but his attention is all towards the loving mother-daughter duo. He loves the way Ishita is smiling and telling the story to Ruhi and he's observing her lovely expressions. He kind of looses himself in her for a moment ❤️ and then comes back to his senses when he hears the commentator shout out a six. Ishita completes one story and Ruhi starts pestering her for another one. Now Ishita starts to get slightly annoyed. It is almost 11:30 now.
Ish: Ab bas Ruhi , ab aapko sona padega warna Ishima ko bahut gussa aajayega. [ Now enough Ruhi, you have to sleep now otherwise Ishima will get very angry]
Ruhi turns towards Raman and he sees her. She makes a sad puppy-dog face and looks at him and he understands her gesture and jumps in to her rescue.
Ra: Arrey Ishita ek din ki toh baat hai. Usse ek aur story pada dena. Kya har wakth tumhari jhaansigiri dikhaana zaroori hai kya. [ hey Ishita it's just a matter of one day. Just read her one more story. Is it necessary for you to always show your Jhansi ki rani attitude?]
Ish: Raman aapne time dekha hai. Abhi toh saade gyaara baj chuki hai. Yeh kal school ke liye nahi uthegi Raman. [Raman have you seen the time? It's already 11:30. She will not get up for school tomorrow]
Raman realizes that it's almost nearing midnight and he needs to somehow keep her up and tries to convince her for just one more story.
Ra: Accha toh ek din school nahi jaayegi toh koi bada sa pahaad nahi toot padega. Ok suno. Na teri na meri. Ek chota sa kahaani padaado uske baad Ruhi so jaayegi. Theek hai? [ If she doesn't go to school for one day or goes late it's not a big deal. Ok listen. Not your way not my way, just read her a small story and then after that she will definitely sleep]
Ishita starts thinking why is Raman so relaxed and chilled out today and realizes that maybe its because he is watching the cricket match. She thinks that he may not be having any work pressures and is enjoying and decides not to argue further as he hardly gets such time for himself. Also, she feels nice that he is not in angry man mode today. Raman slowly winks at Ruhi😉 and she smiles😊 and hugs her Ishima tight and Ishu starts reading her another story. According to plan Raman slips out of the room and Ruhi notices that and says:
Ru: Ishima mujhe bathroom jaana hai. [ Ishima I need to go to the bathroom]
Ishita lifts Ruhi in her arms and takes her to the bathroom and Ruhi takes her own sweet time while Ishita is waiting behind the door. By then Raman goes into the room and and he slides into the room with his back facing Ishita. Once he is in, he locks the door. He starts lighting up a few scented candles in the room. He opens the cake and places a few candles on it. Meanwhile Ishita is starting to get worried as Ruhi is taking longer than usual. She knocks on the bathroom door and asks:
Ish: Roo beta . Sab theek hai na? Aap itni der kyun kar rahi hai? [My darling Roo. Is everything alright? Why are you taking so long to come out?]
Ru: Ishima mai theek hoon. Mai abhi aa rahi hoon. [Ishima I am perfectly fine. I am coming out now]
She comes out and says:
Ru: Ishima mujhe thoda paani chaahiye. [Ishima I need a little bit of water]
It's almost 11:55 PM by now and Ishita takes Ruhi to the dining hall and gives her a little water. Meanwhile Raman is lighting up the candles. Ruhi has her glass of water and she goes into her Ishima's arms. Ishu picks her up and says:
Ish: Roo beta..ab chale? ab toh aapko sona hi padenga okay my sweet little princess. [Roo darling shall we go in now? you have to sleep now my little princess]
Ru: Okay Ishima
Ruhi is beaming now 😃 that she know's it's almost midnight. Ishita comes to the room and is surprised to find it locked. She knocks on the door calling out to Raman. Raman opens the door and Ishita is surprised to see candles lit in the room.😲 As soon as she enters she leaves Ruhi down and asks Raman:
Ish: Raman yeh kya ho raha hai yaha pe? [Raman what's going on here]
He closes the room door, slides beside her and places his hand over her eyes and whispers in her ear.
Ra: Shhh.
Ishita feels queasy with his proximity and she stands still. He continues to hold his hand over her eyes with his left hand and hold her with his right hand and guides her to the cake. Once he takes her near the cake, he takes his hands off her eyes and she looks at the wonderful cake in front of her. It read "Happy birthday Ishima. We love you" and it was signed with initials RR beneath. Ishita's eyes were stung with tears. Raman and Ruhi were looking at her very happy to see her pleased with the surprise. She bends down to Ruhi and gives her a tight hug and kisses her and says.🤗
Ish to Ru: Thank you so much mera baccha. I love you too. This is the best birthday in my life. Love you a lot my angel.
Ru: Happy birthday Ishima. i hope ke aapko mere aur paapa ke surprise accha lage. [ I hope you liked the surprise that me and paapa planned for you]
Ish to Ru: Liked it? I loved it my angel.❤️
She now realizes why Ruhi was being so stubborn and why Raman was being so relaxed and cool about her not sleeping. She stands up and faces Raman:
Ish to Ra: Toh yeh tha aapka master plan ha. Aap dono baap beti na, you both are so wicked. But sach mei I am very lucky Raman. This is the best surprise that I have got in my entire life. Thank you so much. I really loved it.
She holds his hand while saying so. They share an eyelock for a minute ❤️ and then both of them broke off as Ruhi called out to them.
Ru: Uffo. Ishima paapa aap dono kya kar rahe ho. Abhi midnight ho chuka hai.Lets cut the cake paapa. [Uff.paapa and Ishima what are you both doing? it's already midnight. let's cut the cake paapa]
Raman holds Ruhi in his arms and asks Ishita to cut the cake. She cut's the cake while Ruhi and Raman start singing "happy birthday to you Ishima". She cuts the cake and places a piece in Ruhi's mouth. She eats it and then she takes another piece which Raman cuts for her and asks her to feed Ishima. Ruhi feeds Ishu and wishes her again. She says thank you and then Ishu cuts another piece and brings it near Raman's mouth. He tells her:
Ra: Aaj tumhaari birthday hai.toh mai tumhe pehle cake khilaaonga. [Today is your birthday , so I want to feed you the cake first]
He holds her hand and Ishita trembles slightly at his gentle touch. He slowly puts the cake piece in her mouth and wishes her:
Ra: Happy birthday Ishita. Thank you so much for coming into mine and Ruhi's life and for completing our little world. You mean a lot to us. Thank You.
Ishita blushes😳 hard as she listen's to Raman's wishes. Raman holds Ishita and makes her sit on the bed with Ruhi on her lap. And then Raman switches off the lights. The few scented candles are lit and is giving the room a very dim light. Raman asks Ishita to see the ceiling. She and Ruhi look at the ceiling and she sees a few glow stickers reading out a tiny message to her: "Happy Birthday Ishita. You are undoubtedly the best daughter, sister, daughter -in-law, sister-in-law, MOTHER and WIFE" - RR. Ishita was too overhwelmed, and she had tears again.
Ru: Ishima aap ro rahe ho. Kyon. Surprise accha nahi laga? [ Ishima you are crying. Why? Did you not like the surprise?]
Ra: Har wakth meena kumaari banna zarrori hai kya Ishita? [ Ishita, is it always necessary to become Meena kumari.?] For people who arent' aware Meena Kumari is known for her tragic roles and crying.
Ish: Awww mera Roo baccha.yeh toh khushi ki aansoon hai mera baccha ..mera baby doll. I love you both so much.❤️ [Aww my Roo baby. These are tears of happiness. My baby doll. ]
The minute she said that, Raman immediately looked at her and Ishita bit her tongue. She could not meet his eyes now. Raman held her hand by the side and she looked up in shock with the tinge of blush😳 and he smiled at her😊. She looked away again and tried to release her wrist from his grip. He was enjoying the effect he had on her and finally let go of her hand.
Ish to Ru: Roo beta ab bahut der ho chuki hai hame sona chahiye [My dear Roo, it's very late now, I think we should go to sleep now]
Ru: okay Ishima.
Raman gets up and takes the cake and places in the fridge. He comes back and sees Ishu and Ruhi sleeping in each other's arms. Raman comes near Ishita, looks at her lovingly. She looked like an angel with his little princess curled up in her arms. He adjusts the comforter to cover them and he retires to his side of the bed with pleasant thoughts of his Jhansi.😊😊
So that's it guys from my side😃. Actually I do have more to write😊. But I could not cover it here as this part went too long. Lol😆.
