Hey everyone,
Lovely episode to end the week and it showed progress in Tara and MJ's relationship. I was especially happy because two of my unintentional predictions came true as I was telling Nira jokingly that Tara probably took Pari to get admitted into school because she was annoyed at her for being a haddi. To ny surprise, that actually ended up being the case! Furthermore, I was telling her that MJ would apologise for being rude but I didn't think this prediction of mine would come true but CVs have surprised me yet again :)
SHEGUFTA'S MISC. SCENE OF THE DAY IS TARA TELLING MJ TO SPIN THE SPINNING TOP!
Significance of the scene:
The spinning top symbol is inspired from Inception where the spinning top was Marion Cotillard's totem. A totem indicted whether or not a person was in a dream or they were in reality. In this case, the totem symbolises the difference between listening to one's heart and thinking logically. MJ was able to spin that top last time because he had blocked out his growing attraction towards Tara and the intrinsic connection he feels towards her because he thought about it logically and he came to the conclusion that why would he have a relationship with someone else's wife?
However, he saw Tara's care and concern for Pari and he also noticed how she is aware of his feelings for Pari which made him melt. Tara is intelligent and she knows that the spinning top won't spin this time because he has started to listen to his heart and his heart will tell his mind that appearances can be false and some realities are better deciphered by the heart.
