The way that scene was set up, it is possible. However, Ruq is not evil towards Jalal, just not very smart. Therefore, it is further possible that someone else set her up to do this.

Yes I feel the same way too . After he consumed the "jaam" given by Ruku , Jalal is behaving unreasonably .
