We might have discussed this before but focus right on target. Companies that follow typical government services structure of promotion - that is based on number of experience years forget performance. Yes such companies are spread accross world.

Debate : Promotions should be based on years of experience atleast in manufacturing / civil services sector ?

promotions should be based on likeability factor alone.. Performance koi bhi dega... the appeal should decide this...😊

me finks it shud be cutness factor.. hai na? who cares about performance and likeability? 😆😆

Raj- performance should be the deciding factor. Experience is important, but unless it transcends into consistent delivery, no use of years of work.

Nahi yaar really performance toh koi bhi dega.. I dont think today there is concept of indispensable employee...or a stellar performer (unless politics is in action) except for their experience... So yes, the grey hair will still be indispensable....just cos he knows more about the business at is now than the guy who fans himself with transcripts from famous institutions..😆...

it should be based on how good you are at what you are doing, education...and then some on experience. capability of being a rainmaker helps too...big bosses adore rainmakers 😊 apart from this, interpersonal skills and team work are also utmost important. you can hire the smartest person in the world but if he doesn't have great interpersonal skills and teamwork, chances are he won't go anywhere in the corporate world at least. don't know about other fields that much.

on top of all this, thoda good looking bhi ho toh soney peh suhaga 😉 😆
