A very good post! Especially since it focuses on a side character in our show and that is refreshing :)
I agree with all your points but I agree with the few posts made in favour of Simi trying to explain her POV. We can't discount the upbringing of Bhallas and Iyers. Where the Iyer girls were brought up as independent, self reliant women, the Bhallas, esp. Toshi Bhalla failed to instil those values in her children, more so in her daughter. Again this is all so much prevalent in our society where the man is free to do anything but a woman's only aim is to get married and settle down.Simi is a loose canon.👍🏼 I agree she rarely thinks before she speaks. Right now her actions are all anti-Ishu even if it doesn't serve her. She's been the most vocal of the Bhalla family, after her mom, who doesn't give two hoots of what anyone thinks. And I'm glad that she's now declared open war and has no qualms in going out with Param despite her family's objections. This is so in keeping with her character. There are a lot of women around us who tend to look the other way if the husbands are caught out. In Simi's case, she never had any conclusive proof to make up her mind and go against Param. And that is what this track will actually bring out. Where Simi has a lot of faults, one very positive thing about her is that she loves her family members blindly. And once Param's involvement in the blue file comes to the fore, she will not spare him. She is also the person who stole the file for Param just about the same time Raman figured out she forged his signature. She acts and then thinks or sometimes doesn't bother to. Her loyalties are misplaced and will Raman take her to task for her stupidity in believing Param meant to help him?is woman believes in blind love and will go to any extent to protect her loved ones; she's doing the same with Param by turning a blind eye to everyone. But that will all end when she realises that this love of hers is one sided, in contrast to her family members who despite being upset and mad with her love her a lot. And as for Simi's decision to stay with her parents, its all because of Param's directives. She's actually voiced her discomfort and unhappiness with this arrangement but Param needs her to stay in that house for his ulterior motives. So with the current increase in their proximity, Param's true colours are going to be revealed soon and then Simi will strike back.I also believe the Bhalla children are more or less the same, all of them are selfish with little regard for others. Raman and Romi have gradually changed because of their attachment with Ishita, who as in typical Indian soaps is perfection personified! Simi will also come around 😊 On a lighter note, even I wouldn't be comfortable around such a larger than life character who is never at fault 😛Every time I roll my eyes at Ishu's mahaanta, my eyes hurt.😆
