She was a bit Plump he said ...
But what he said in the end sealed the deal ... he said SONALI KOTNIS did not exist ...
If Sonali Kotnis did not exist ... & if Raman Kumar's first love was Shagun ... why was he describing a woman who looked anything but like SHAGUN ... but who was the mirror image of the woman sitting in front of him ... his wife ... Ishita Raman Bhalla ... the woman who ... "Jaan chidakti thi woh mujhpe"
Yea yea yea ... i know u r confused ... why talk about Sonali Kotnis ... the story moved beyond that joke a while back ... but dunno why while watching fridays episode ... the whole convo on " sona" came to mind ... lemme tell u why ... when Raman spoke about Sona ... he spoke about a woman who took his breath away ... a woman who was his fantasy .. a woman who besotted him completely ...
And on friday episode we got a glimpse of that man ... ladies & gentlemen giving u the oh so besotted Raman Kumar Bhalla ...
The man is in love ... is it any wonder that at a drop of a hat he mentions the word ... LOVE ... whether it is to say ... I DONT LOVE U .. or to say I love U .. or to ask ARE U IN LOVE WITH ME ???? the love word resonates in his mind whenever he looks at his fantasy ... His SONA ... his wife ...
Before i go about talking on tonites episode ... let me talk about a scene which caught my heart ... according to me .. the most romantic scene ever written in recent times between a pair on tv was for a serial called Geet .. a scene which was more than 3 episodes long ... but on friday .. YHM writers trumped that scene with merely a shot ... according to me the MOST INCREDIBLE MOST MATURE MOST ROMANTIC & MOST WONDERFULLY DEPICTED WOOING on TV ... ever ...
Its the scene of the Garden of Eden ... & Adam feeding Eve the apple ... 😉
Ok u guessed what i am talking about .. & i am sure most of u have seen this episode a couple of times by now ... so lemme just jump to why it was so INCREDIBLE ... in an episode wrapped with fun romance ... light & dark moments why did this simple shot catch my heart ...
Raman is feeding Ishita the apple ... he was slicing the apples & putting them on her plate to eat ... & she smiled at his care of her ... in the backdrop .. their parents are sitting .. TOSHI & BHALLA ... suddenly Raman cuts a clean slice ... grumbling u can eat an apple with ONE HAND ... raises his ONE HAND ... shakes the fruit in his hand as if indicating ... EAT
Now go to Ishita .. she first goes to take the fruit .. she sees the hand shaking ... & then reaches forward & takes the bite out of his hand ... with a smile on her face ...
Raman gives her a look & then reverts to ravan kumar .. saying not my hand ur hand ... but this time she says right back ... u did not leave the apple ...
Such a simple scene .. but its maturity .. its romance & the sheer wooing in this scene was a pleasure to watch ... dunno if i watched an episode of any serial a couple of times .. but this scene i saw 3 - 4 times ... just to reconfirm the beauty of the message ...
A couple are sitting on the table ... their parents are sitting behind them ... u can't be overly romantic in a Indian household in front of ur parents ... so how do u romance ur wife ... how do u obviously feed her & care for her ... basically pamper her .. without becoming the butt of all jokes ... Raman Kumar Bhalla showed it to us ... he wanted to feed his wife .. & he fed his wife ... in a simple gesture he showed her .. he cared ... he was sensitive ... he was respectful ... all the 3 things she accused him of not being when he accused her of taking Shagun's pic ...
By a simple gesture he told her I CARE ... I AM SENSITIVE TO UR NEEDS ... I RESPECT U AS MY WIFE ... & to top it up .. he WOOED her in STYLE as well ... KUDOS to the writers of this show ... guys if u ever read this .. TAKE A BOW ... u people are simply brilliant ...
Tonites episode ...
The whole forum up in euphoria about the upcoming precap of I LOVE YOU ISHITA ... will she believe him .. won't she believe him ... did he mean it .. did he not mean it ...
Oh well so lets go to that party with Ishita & Raman ... he enters the party on a high .. he has achieved another milestone in his career ... up until that moment it was the euphoria of an award which he was riding high on ... he had his beautiful wife by his side ... his world was RIGHT .. His world was Happy ... & then he glimpses his DARK PAST ... a past which had always tried to push him into an abyss of hate ... but what he wanted to tonite was to love .. not hate ... he chose WHITE tonite ... & shockingly his soul mate chose white as well ...
So while answering the questions of a pesky reporter he spoke about the dark abyss of hate ... & how hate can either DESTROY one or make a person come out WINNER .. he came out a WINNER ... to him he was speaking to a COUPLE ... Shagun & Ashok ... 2 people who practised deception on him .. who tried to kick him down ... but what ISHITA heard was the one word .. SHAGUN ...
There as she stood beside but a step back .. wanting to give him this moment of victory ... standing by him but a step behind quietly ... she felt alone for a moment in that milieu ... once again thinking that the power of the past was stronger than the power of the present ... the dark shadows still threatened the white skies ... once again a few INSECURITIES CAME TO FORE ... once again the bruised heart found a new tear ...
On the other side of the coin ... Mr. Bhalla was euphoric .. he was a changed man .. he was a winner ... tointe he proved it ... he tactfully handled the matter of his sister & her useless husband ... he managed to keep his emotions in check ... but whats more he did not run to the bottle ...
The changed man .. who could be polite with an enemy ... a changed man who warned his sister .. but then let her be ... a changed man .. who while spoke about his victory ..did not malign ... he celebrated ... cause with him was his STRENGTH ... his WIFE the person who had the power to make him a BETTER PERSON ...
The most telling moments of tonites episode ... i dunno if u guys noticed it or not ... But while Raman spoke a few words of praise for NEELU .. he did not comment to his wife that she looked beautiful ... tonite as the organisers announced a FASHION competition ... HE NUDGED her to ENTER THE SAME ... to him tonites WINNER WAS UNEQUIVOCALLY HIS WIFE .. Raman Kumar Bhalla could not have expressed his besotted heart any better than what he did tonite ...
BIJLI toh Gir chuki hai ... bas baarish aane ki der hai ... these were the words they spoke a couple of months back during Mihir's engagement ... that nite too she had stunned him with her beauty ... they spoke that about baarish ... alluding to PASSION ...
Now lets go back to that dialog ... raman says .. Bijli to gir hi chuki hai .. aur aise raha toh baarish bhi zaroor ho gi ...
Tonite the baarish happened ... both had the most difficult time hiding their growing passion for the other ... when Raman tucked Ishita's pleat in her petticoat ... she could feel him all over ... he lay stunned by her feet hit by the force of passion ... the passion once again came to fore when he stood behind her pinning her pallu ... the back of his hands caressing her bare back ... he had to look away from the tempting picture ... & THEN THE BUBBLE BURST .. that to with a PRICK ... 😉
( i am gonna leave the instinctive sucking of the finger to our wonderful OS writers who will surely give the much needed gutter respect to that scene & the meaning of the Suck the finger 😛😉)
This was an amazing loop closure ... i am shocked how the writers seem to remember such small nuances & actually visit them .. brilliant is simply to small a word ...
All in all a brilliant couple of days in the YHM world ... the dark & the light were brilliantly brought out today .. shockingly in just 22 mins ... one got so many layers in this serial tonite ...
The dark clouds hover over the sky ... which is BLUE .. the colour MIHIKA WORE tonite ... there were sinister clouds like Ashok & Param hovering over her ... but what was most interesting was ... there was another dark cloud hovering over the other dark clouds ... SHAGUN ... but the only way to get the SKY to shine BRIGHT & BLUE .. is when WHITE CLOUDS DECEND ...
Now take a moment and think .. wasn't even the dress colours chosen for this party incredibly apt .. tonite even the clothes gave away a STORY ...
Since all of u know i have a no predict policy ... heres still a small tidbit ... Ashok & param have plans .. plans to ruin an innocent girl ... of course the girl has to many knights in shining armour ... but there is another angle to this whole planning they have not considered ... SHAGUN ... she has already lost ONE MAN TO ONE SISTER ... WHAT WILL SHE DO TO HOLD HER MAN ... i have often written the BEST TRACK OF YHM is to happen now ... so guys lets sit back & let these incredible writers woo us
