Chapter 10

Astha moaned again in her sleep as she felt another sharp nudge on her shoulder, arousing her from her peaceful sleep. It had to be Sid, he always do that to wake her up, this time also she will kick him, which she did and hit someone. She didn't recall what or how it happened but she landed on her face and instantly woke up.

"Is this a way to wake someone?" She asked furiously as she tried to stand up, without even looking at him.

"You should've expected that after you kicked me again." She heard him saying. Her eyes widened at the realization, she swung around, only to find Shlok half naked wearing only his trousers, looking angry in every way. She gave a relief sigh, at least he's wearing something, she was expecting him to be stark naked if she happen to wake up first, and she doesn't want that, after what she through last night by his show. She was tired but sleep didn't come into her eyes, that naked image kept floating in her mind even though she tried hard to divert her mind, it kept haunting her. Along with that, suddenly she felt the cabin much hotter, she had grown warm out of sudden, she wanted to remove her sweater but didn't dare it. So she slept late, kept tossing and turning in her swinging bed, only because of this man standing in front of him. Out of sudden that image came again in her mind and she blushed turning red, he may have noticed it, that's why he asked.

"You're turning red, whatever are you blushing for?"

She blinked, what the hell are you doing Astha? Stop blushing!

"I'm actually furious, Captain" she replied.

"Why?" He asked curiously.

Because you're naked image is haunting me!

"It's nothing that concerns you, Captain and I'm sorry for kicking you---"

"Ah! The brat knows how to apologize, eh?" He asked amusedly.

She clenched her fist tightly and gritted her teeth as she replied "I do know how to apologize, when I'm wrong, maybe you don't know how to apologize because I haven't heard a sorry from you."

"You expect me to apologize for just reacting to your action, is that what you want, brat?"

That's it! She's out of here!

"I want nothing from you, Captain. I'm going to get breakfast!" She replied frustratingly and marched toward the room.

"It's too late for breakfast now, half the morning is gone, besides I've eaten mine since I didn't know you are a lazy lad, you can have yours now but be back soon."

One more insult and she will slap him, no matter the consequences.

"I didn't sign for this job! I'm forced into it so don't expect me to be a perfect when I don't even know how a cabin boy supposes to work!" She said and stormed out of the cabin. She gritted her teeth as she heard his hearty laughter and walked rapidly to escape him.

Astha could feel her hands throbbing as she brought another bucket of water and poured the water in the large tub. So far she brought only three buckets and she felt like she had overworked. She is frustrated now with all the works, she sympathize the previous cabin boy who has been doing all this work. More than the work, she is frustrated at herself for being stubborn, the Captain offered help, even asked his crew to help her, but Astha is Astha, out of pride she declined and now she is suffering.

Shlok pitied her but also got irritated at her stubbornness, she is suffering yet she didn't utter a word even declined his help, on top of that, he is feeling guilty for overburdening her with the works. He is helpless too, his previous cabin boy had done the same duties and if he took exception for her, then his crew would likely get suspicious and that is the thing he doesn't want, her discovery. Damn her pride!

"That would be enough water."

She took a deep breath, relieved her work is over, she was about to go out, leaving him alone with his privacy. As much as possible she wanted him out of her sight because he is still in same state when she had left him, wearing only trousers.

"Where you going?" Shlok asked.

"Of course out, I mean you want privacy, right?" She replied.

He burst into laughter and replied "from a young lad? A man! Of course not! I would want that if there is a woman, right?"

She blushed hard and replied uneasily "of course."

After a moment her heart started beating hard, realizing the fact that she will watch him again! Naked! That too taking bath! His large body resting against the tub in the hot water, steam coming up surrounding him, his wide chest drenched with water, his black hair too, his eyes closed, his head leaned back as he relaxed...and the image stopped there. She gave a mental shake to herself as she blushed into triple loads as she realized what she was doing. She couldn't stay here, couldn't watch him taking bath. My God, He's making me pervert!

"you're furious again?" she heard his voice.

Definitely! But at me!

"I was just thinking that I will see to the lunch, since the time is nearing---"

"Who will scrub my back then?"

Her eyes widened, oh no, no way, she couldn't watch him relaxing in that hot water what more touch his skin, be close to him, she would just collapse.

"But---"

"You ain't going till I have my bath, lunch time is so far yet, don't worry!" He said and started removing his trousers. She instantly turned away from him, showing her back, why this is happening to her, she prayed to God, that someone would come. She heard the splash, she sighed thinking he is in the tub already but didn't dare turn or took another step.

"Come now, lad." He said. She still didn't move from her place, she stayed there as if her feet were nailed into the ground.

"What's wrong with you, brat?" He asked a bit irritatingly. She still didn't say anything, she couldn't possibly find a word, she kept thinking of excuses, any excuse! Dammit!

"If you didn't come around here this instant, I will drag you here!" she heard his threat.

"I'm coming, bloody giant!" She replied in half furious and half worried tone. All right, she will wash his back, and she is sure to bruise it too, that would be sweet revenge for putting her into this, he would regret that. She turned to face him and walked at the end of the tub. He leaned forward and presented his so long and so wide back, she can clearly see his buttocks, actually so nice buttocks. She was staring and staring, didn't know for how long until she realized her actions.

Angry at herself and him, she slammed the wash rug on his back and rubbed it against his hard back harshly. He didn't say anything, then she felt guilty to see red marks on his back and she eased the pressure. It wasn't his fault, he finds no wrong in asking a young man to scrub his back, a little nakedness doesn't matter between same gender. She was making slow movements by now, she had to bend and be close to him for her to reach the lower areas. She could smell him, smell his hair.

Then it happened, in swift pace, her stomach turned upside down, it was the weirdest feeling, she felt like she would vomit this instant, the food she'd gulped a while ago was starting to churn in her stomach. She couldn't possibly do it in here.

"I'm finish, Captain!" She said and threw the wash rug in the water and ran out of the cabin before he could stop, which thankfully he didn't.

Shlok took a deep breath, he had never in his life suffered a nervewrecking situation, where he will have his bloody time controlling his desire, how easily this girl can arouse him with her innocent touch. And thanks to her, she left before his patience broke, but then he grinned, remembering her cheeks turning red, bloody giant, she called him, he heard it from her before too in the tavern. Wonder what she would be thinking about his body. His smile widened, of course the same thing which other woman think about him! her blush is an outright evidence to it
