No idea what happened today.

It's disappointing that a show which held so much promise, one that promised to be different, is not so different at all. Sure, the setting, the premise, the language, aura and basic story--they are different. It's not kitchen politics, not saas-bahu. But in place of it, the same issues that we have with other shows manifest themselves within this show.
Anyway, if Abhishek Rawat still stalks the forum. I am quite sure he wouldn't have liked my last topic/post. But I have always been a silent phanka of his for a few years. Though that doesn't mean I would watch just because he's in it.
The reason I started first following news on this closely was when it was reported that he was part of the show. Then more I read on it, more hopes I had on this show.

But anyway back to my point. i want to give my kudos to him. He always does take up different projects. His last outing, even if it didn't go the way everyone wanted, there too he took up something which had a different premise. And not run-of-the-mill, at least by the synopsis and first look.

Anyway...

Haha... No. You should actually skip all Yamini scenes. Sort of what I did. I conveniently skipped the Raghu-Yamini and Daddu-Yamini scenes the minute the frame turned to them. I did watch the first scene and last scene though, only to be horrified to another level. I don't even want to talk about the precap.

I was also a silent pankha of Abhishek since he appeared in Pratigya...now i never followed that soap, he caught my attention while I was browsing random channels for timepass. he appeared as a research scholar under the guidance of pratigya's father. there hovers a certain scholastic appearance, calm poise and dignified intellegence in his demeanour and approach that makes him immediately perfect for such roles...so I got hooked on and started watching P only to see his scenes...I was shocked to the core when all of a sudden the twisted his character 180 degree and made a villain out of him. I stopped watching it but he made a very good 1st impression upon me...when I heard that Abhishek is playing the role of a theatre director on this new show Baawre I immediately decided to watch it from 1st.
paar wohi baat, no matter how much I like the hero at the end of the day I watch only for a strong, believable storyline and actions that do not torture my sensibility . Baawre promised to be different, it started being different, it is still now has the chance to maintain their " different " status
but the way they r handling the heroine they are really either playing with fire fanning our ire, or going to follow the same ghisapita formula of muh-phulao tantrum throwing idiotic female and always sorry-grateful to have her-hero and their never ending, senseless conflicts.

I was not familiar with Abhishek's work before Baawre. And I started watching for a very different reason. But I am most certainly a fan now.
His Nikumbh has been a joy to watch since that very first shot of him, with papers flying all around him. He breathed confidence, dignity and life into Nikumbh. Abhishek mentioned this in one interview that he was quite upset when he thought he had lost this role at auditions. Nikumbh obviously meant a lot to this guy. And truthfully, they could not have cast someone better. He gets everything right. From the language, to all the little things that make his Nikumbh stand out!
I honestly don't think I am going to stand this much longer, but if Abhishek reads this, he should know that he has done a MARVELLOUS job and he has been, since day one, one of the prime reasons why so many have enjoyed this show. I am no critic and I have no background in acting either so I don't have that technical know how as far as acting is concerned, but I have always connected to HIS Nikumbh. But then there is only so much a viewer can stand when a story that started out so promisingly is getting sabotaged left, right and center. And they are totally ruining his character too. Making him seem like a loser, like the lesser person in this entire mess, it just pains so much to see a FANTASTIC character played to perfection being treated like a mop.
Anyhow, he mentioned in an interview that he has done a movie? I really hope it sees the light of the day. If and when the movie hits the screens, I would be one of the first ones in line trying to get a ticket. 😆

I saw a Shekhar-Lali YT video somehow years ago. This was while that show was still going on. But while I liked him and even the couple, I didn't watch the show. But I check out a few clips and scene, I really liked him.
So then when he was in DEK, I checked out the launch video, and the first episode. Err, let's just say I couldn't stand watching due to other reasons. My ears hurt. So I didn't watch. And for all the mess the show became, I still do credit him because he picked something that was somewhat different...

I know about Pratigya, but never interested me to check it out.

Then when I saw that he was coming back with this show, I went to look more into it, saw who was behind it, the synopsis and all. And it intruigued me and I was excited for it. I tracked the show for like two-three months.

This is really the most I've really watched him though. And he's such a natural actor. And all that's been said above about his acting and how is Nikumbh, I concur. Just, can't be said enough.

I will always be a silent phanka though.😆

Cheers!
