Will regional languages die ?

Do you think regional languages will slowly die? Languages like Maithili, Kaithi, Bhojpuri, Himachali, Dogri,Pahari, Santhali and many more such languages will showly fade out like Sanskit and Pali ? Most of these languages have been replaced bu hindi in most families with very few of the new generation speaking or learning these languages. Do you thin kwe should be more respactable towards our mother tounge and try to keep it alive and pass it as a heritage to our kids.

i think regional lanuages should not die out and be spoken
but there should not be regionalim rascist
instead unity through diversit

one of my cousin doesnt want these regional langauges because he says when one person goes to different part of bharart there is lot of times communication problem
and he wants everyone should speak same language
but i disagree with him because these languages are very old, beautiful, and it is pride of india that we have many languages

I don't speak or understand any of the above mentioned languages! But I feel we need not do any major cultural movements or Renisance to carry forward our language to further generations but one should atleast speak in their mother tongue in their home ,this helps a lot and this is the effective method of protecting our language!

We need not use the phoren language for basic words like "Maata","Pita","Bhayya","Didi","Dada","Didi" and "Mayya😉" instead of Mummy,Daddy,bro,Sis,grandpa,granny,Sweetheart or karelaheart!

House is the ultimate knowledge earning centre where we learn somany things of life,if we take simple care at home regarding somany issues of ourlives,we can achieve or solve many issues of life!

i am not sure if it will die or not but preserving your culture by confining your language is good or not is a thought provoking question. first we are talking about uniformity and then talk about diversity in term of language, lifestyle among all, dont know how it will work out.

I don't think regional languages would die because in India people still speak at least more than one language and one being the regional one. The ones you mentioned seem to be dialects. It is a possibility that dialects are dying because most are similar to Hindi and as people improved their lifestyle they prefer Hindi to these dialects. That could be the major reason we have very few people speaking in Mythili and other dialects in towns and cities.

NO, they will never. Culture / societal norms have never died, some deviations but still they exists and so will languages. Good Topic! though..
