Today's episode was unbearable for me, I don't even want to think about it, let alone talk about it. I just want to share with you all a song, which is very close to my heart and I felt this song would be perfect as a last message from Paro to both Rudra and her son, Dhruv, who never even got to know her. She wanted to say something before she breathed her last, and this is what I like to think it was...
"Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift"
Remember those moments when Paro said she'll never let go of her Major Saab's hand, that she'll always be there - no matter what? And he would blindly believe in her, and then doze off peacefully, clutching her hand tightly in his own.
Paro could not keep her promise, her cruel fate did not let her stick true to her words yet all can do before leaving him is to assure him once again that she is with him, no matter what - main, aap, hamesha...
I remember tears streaming down you face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone has passed tonight
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
Paro is a girl who lived in her own bubble of happiness, love, care and warmth. And this is the advice she leaves for her son - that the cruel world outside the window might be hell bent to harm him, hurt him but she'll always be with him to protect and look over her little boy.
Don't you dare look out your window
Darling everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold on to this lullaby
Even when music's gone, gone
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
And for a moment I told myself the same thing too.. That she was there, she would always live in my, or rather, our hearts - where she would be safe and sound.
Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound...
This is my ode to the beautiful soul called Paro. Who despite all hardships in life, never failed to bring a smile on the lips of everyone whose lives she touched.
I want to say a lot of things for her, but I'm not in a condition to write, nor words are coming to me right now...Just one thing - will miss you always, girl.
