Farhan Akhtar to produce and act in Abhishek Kapoor's film

After news that Farhan Akhtar will be acting in Anand Surapur's Fakir, the dapper filmmaker has also signed a film to be directed by Abhishek (Gattu) Kapoor. This is Abhishek's second film as a director after Aryan.

The film will be produced by Farhan's company Excel Entertainment.

A source from Excel says, "Farhan loved Abhishek's subject and immediately signed him on to make the film. In fact Farhan was so interested in the subject that he also volunteered to play one of the key roles in the film. The film is about five or six characters and is a very modern film."

Abhishek says, "Yes it is true. I am directing the film for Farhan. I have known Farhan for a long time and when I narrated the subject to him, he loved it. He instantly agreed to produce the film. It is a musical and we will soon start casting for the film."

However, Abhishek refuses to confirm whether Farhan will play one of the key characters. "I cannot confirm that. You will have to ask him about this," says Abhishek.

Farah Akhtar remained unavailable for comment as he is in London scouting locations for Don's sequel.
