Water Scarcity.
"I am pissed off now!" Kaustuki complained.
"Shut up Kaustu, we all are! Now don't remind us about that!" Sanyukta told.
"But Sanyu we-" Kaustuki started.
"Shhh!" Sanyukta hissed.
"She is right Sanyu, we have to do something? There's no water supply from three days. We are stinking like pigs or maybe worse!" Parth told.
"I need water!" Jiggy exclaimed.
"I need water too. I haven't had bath for three days now," Kaustuki exclaimed.
FITE's final year students were on a strike as their final internals were pre-poned for a month. They broke all the motors in the college stopping the water supply. Only a small tank of water was left out which was used for extremely necessary purposes. Now even that was depleted and it was almost empty.
"Mr. Know-it-all, what happened? Don't you always have the pitch perfect ideas? I think it is time to use of of them" Sanyukta shouted.
"Shut up Sanyukta! I am irritated more than you are. I am going to break those final years jaws. Just one month pre-poned right? That isn't a big problem," Randhir told.
"Ohh hello, maybe not for you but for others it is a big problem, very big," Vidushi told.
"Randhirrr! Idea!?" Sanyukta shouted again.
"Ugh, Sanyukta! Don't mess with me!" Randhir replied angrily.
"Guys, there is a well somewhere within 2 kilometers of radius. Everyone is going there to get water for themselves. Shall we go too?" Sahil asked panting and gasping for air who had just come in.
"2 kilometers?" Kaustuki exclaimed.
"Yeah, I am going. Come if you want to have a bath!" Sahil told and ran out.
"Guys, let's go. We have no other option!" Sanyukta told and got up.
Everyone agreed and walked out.
"Randhir? Aren't you coming?" Sanyukta asked.
"No. If I want something then that comes to me. I don't go run for things!" Randhir replied smirking and immersed himself into playing games again.
"Argh, you are impossible. Believe me! Keep stinking," Sanyukta told and ran out.
"Impossible? Hah, Miss. Aggarwal, impossible in my dictionary means I'm possible!" Randhir told and smirked.
Everyone came back after an hour panting and gasping for air. People who didn't go tried to steal other's buckets and so everyone were extremely careful with their water.
"Sanyukta Vardhan sir called for you. You need to go urgently," Randhir told.
"Liar! You want my water so you're lying, I know. I ain't a fool," Sanyukta replied.
"Whatever, you wanna go? Then go don't waste my time. I least care what you do!" Randhir told and turned around and plugged in the earphones to listen to music again.
"Why does he look so clean? He isn't stinking at all, infact, he smells good! He told he'd get water.. menas..?" she thought.
"Randhir?" she called out.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"Did you have a bath? You look very clean?" she asked.
"You're checking me out?" he asked and raised one eye-brow.
"No! I mean," came her immediate reply.
"Arey yaar, I asked Yoyo to bring me buckets of water and he did. He does whatever I ask him to, remember?" he asked.
"Shit! How could I miss him? He would do anything for Kaustuki," she mumbled.
"What?" he asked.
"Vardhan sir, why is he calling me?" she asked.
"Why on earth do you think I would bother to know," he told.
"Ugh. Just take care of my buckets okay?" she ordered.
"And why would I do that?" he asked.
"Please?" she asked and made a puppy face.
"No," he replied.
"Please?" she asked sweeter this time.
"What would I get for helping you?" he asked.
"Anything you want but later, now I have to hurry!" she told and ran towards Vardhan sir's cabin.
"Thankyou very much Sanyukta," Randhir muttered after she left.
She was trying to make her way into Vardhan's cabin but the fourth year students standing outside his cabin were making it extremely difficult for her.
Just then she spotted Yoyo. He was stinking worse than a pig.
"Ugh Yoyo, you're stinking," Sanyukta told.
"Sanyukta paaji, I haven't had a bath from three days, why would I not stink?" Yoyo replied.
"Really? You bought water for Randhir but not for yourself? You're weird!" she told.
"Water for Randhir paaji? What are you blabbering? I have been standing here since morning, haven't moved an inch!" Yoyo replied.
"What are yo-?" Sanyukta spat as realization dawned upon her.
"SHIT! My water," she shouted and frantically ran to the place where she had left Randhir to take care of her buckets filled with water.
Upon reaching there, she saw nothing. NO RANDHIR. NO BUCKETS. NO WATER.
"Argh Randhir, I won't leave you," she swore.
After searching for an hour, she found Randhir sitting under a tree listening to music. He had changed his clothes implying that he had just had a bath.
"Randhirrr!" she squealed.
"Huh!?" Randhir gasped, "You?" he told and relaxed.
"Cheater," she told.
In reply, she only received a smirk.
"You cheater. I had to walk four kilometres for the water and you used them?" she shouted angrily.
"Yeah," he told simply.
"This isn't fair!" she replied.
"Life is not fair Sanyukta," he told mimicking Vardhan.
"What the hell? Couldn't you get it by yourself?" she asked.
"Didn't I tell you Farzi? I don't go and get something. That something itself crosses my way when I need it," he told.
"That was my water," she complained.
"There are no copyrights on water farzi," he told.
"But I-" she told.
"You got it and I used it by fooling you. I win," he told.
"But you wer-" she told and stopped.
"Smelling good? Deodorants, perfumes!" he replied.
"Argh!" she told and stomped her foot.
"I smell better now," he told teasing her and stood up.
"Really?" she told after a while.
"Yeah," he told as she approached closer.
"Now you won't," she told mischievously.
"What?" he asked.
Without bothering to reply she hugged him tight and chafed her body against his attempting to share her obnoxious odour with him but instead of that she had a totally different affect on him. Having her so close raised his hormones and he pulled her closer. They looked into eachother's eyes and world stayed still. Their breathing became erratic and heavy. They came closer and closer to eachother. Just when the distance was about to reduce to zero, "I smell bad Randhir. You'll still kiss me?" she muttered.
"You are the only person who knows best how to ravage a romantic moment!" he replied annoyed and pulled her closer if it was humanely possible.
"Why the hell can't you tell that you'll still kiss me? she asked.
"Ohh, is that the point?" he asked and smirked.
"Yes, now kiss me!" she told.
"Your order is my command mam," he told and pulled her into a kiss.
The kiss was although slow and lingering, had a fire longing that only two passionate people can light up. None of them were bothered that they were kissing eachother in middle of a college garden. All that mattered was them and their kiss. Finally they broke apart when they were out of breaths.
"Sanyukta?" he called out.
"Hmm?" she replied not looking at him.
"I still didn't have my bath!" he told.
Her head shot up. "What?' she asked.
"Yes, your water is safe with Jiggy in my room," he told.
"Then?" she asked.
"I wanted to only irritate you. Had I known that the result of irritating you would be so sweet then I would gave done it the first days the water supply stopped!" he told and smirked.
She blushed.
"I love you," he told.
"I really don't think I have to reply to that after what we just shared," she told.
"Absolutely not," he told.
"Good. Now get me my water! I have to bath," she told and tried to wriggle out of his hands.
He pulled her closer. "Water scarcity Farzi! Let's save?" he asked.
"Eh? What?" she asked confused.
He slowly traced his lips along her cheeks sending shivers down her spine and whispered in her ear huskily, "Let's bath together?"
She turned crimson red. He smirked.
That's a wrap.
Who knew that Water Scarcity could actually be helpful? 𤣠It was meaningless na? 𤣠I know but I couldn't help myself. It was the result of studying Physics consistently. Physics? UGH!
