I disagree that Sanam is judgemental

This is something I see over and over, but i would beg to differ. From the start I've been saying the opposite: Sanam is one of the least judgmental Hindi serial heroines I've seen.
Sanam may be personally wary of Aahil for a number of reasons, including his playboy ways. However, that doesn't make her judgmental.

Sanam has not preached or moralized to Aahil unless she had a good reason to do so. She never exactly used his playboy ways as the basis for her dislike of him. Sure, she saw his playboy ways and didn't think much of it or him. But she was never a judgmental character who went around deeming others moral, immoral, etc etc.

Her opinion of Aahil came because he was an arrogant jerk as a whole. She may not have liked his playboy ways (I mean will any of us think much of a guy we see literally having a roll in the hay with a girl), but that wasn't the basis for her dislike. She saw Aahil was having flings with other girls, and her thoughts went to the girl she thought he was cheating. Her dislike was that combined with his playboy ways, he proved himself to be an arrogant jerk with all his other actions.

She never ever thinks a person to be a bad person due to their lifestyle, which while shocking and surprising her, she never uses that as a sole basis to judge. She gave Shazia the benefit of the doubt twice, and even called her a nice girl.😆

And unlike many other serial heroines, she doesn't lecture or moralize regarding another's lack of Faith. (And this show treats Aahil's forays into finding peace and some faith in a far more nuanced manner than the whole hit us over the head with how bad he is for his lack of faith first and then make it a huge win for the heroine that he changes and finds some belief many other shows have done.)

Agree Sanam is not that judgemental at least not like Asad.
But she is judgemental to a certain extent, yes, but she is ready to give the person a benefit of doubt. Her opinion is not written on wall, she changes it as she observes.
Ahil was a playboy, then a jallad jinn, then not that bad, and now when she saw him going to masjid, when she was him trying to accept the forced marriage, her opinion is going to change.

In that ways she is like zoya.
She may judge a person like asad, but she also looks at the good in a person like Zoya but unlike her mom, who only used to look at the good in a person, Sanam is smart enough to recognize the bad in a person too.
Waiting for her to recognize Tanveer for what she is. Then she will surely never leave Nawab's side, come what may.

@ Gita- Agree with you, was about to make the same points👍🏼
@KK-Agree with you too. Sanam is not judgmental, she hasn't judged Ahil and condemned him unfit for her, as Asad did of Zoya and called her misfit.
Regarding her non-preaching attitude so far, IMO,it was bcoz she was just reading the bunch of jokers & strangers & trying to figure out. Her initial self-talk soon after she started working was, "These are strange people.I don't want to have anything to do with them.I want to get out of this madhouse asap".

She wanted nothing to do with them, including Ahil and she did nothing about mending their ways.Except for arguing with them about Badi Ami's confinement and questioning Ahil once about his heavy drinking.
I think,we'll see some clash of values and her preaching &judging as she slips into/ is pushed into the role of Choti Begum.

Yep, Sanam is not judgmental, she is not even opinionated, poor girl is just trying to make sense of the mess her new family is.

i too agree with you that sanam is not at all judgemental...she doesnt jump in to conclusions without knowing abt the matter completely...and this is the main reason that she is not able to understand that ahil loves her...she is just seeing the other side of everthing..she just thinks that he saved her out of sympathy and nothing more...
sanam is not at all like us thats the reason we understood that ahil loves sanam but sanam doesnt know that

but inspite of all these things she never judged him in case of behaviour towards girls...even knowing what all does he do with girls she trusts him that he will not do such things with her...even though he is flirty she knows he respects woman...wheras if asad wld have been in her place he wld have blindly told that he is a bad person...

sometimes i think...thank god asad was not present noe...if not he wld have never allowed sanam to go near to him nor we wld have got sahil

Yes Sanam is not totally judgemental like her dad.She dislikes Ahil bcoz he is the reason for all her troubles. He burnt her dhaba and she had to come to bhopal.then he comlained to the manager and got her sacked.Sanam is also in debt to Ahil which she does'nt like, but she is a fair person. She acknowledges the fact that Ahil saved her life twice. She gives a chance to everybody. She is smarter than Zoya

@ 1st bold, but that is not being judgmental. That was her reacting correctly to the setting and situation. When she saw Khala-Khalu tamasha, as I've mentioned before, she said one of the smartest thing I've seen a serial heroine say. She said if anything happens the blame will fall on her, and she should get out of the house ASAP.

As Gita said in the above post (to which I have nothing to add) she is smart enough to recognize the bad in a person. Being smart to recognize a bad situation and waning nothing to do what them or that situation is not being judgmental. That's being smart.

Sanam when she questioned Aahil that night about his heavy drinking didn't do in a harsh admonishing manner, but rather just asked him why he drinks so much that he can't remember. As I said back then, it stood out because it sounded like it came from a place of familiarity and concern.

@ 2nd bold.. Oh, please no...I hope not.😆 I like how it's going now. Lack of preaching and judging is one of the positives about QH2. So far they've handled it well and done it a nuanced way.
