Raatan Raajputh is known her versatility in acting. She is among few actresses who has tried different genres in Television industry and no doubt successful in each. From Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Swayambar to Bigg Boss 7, Mahabharat and now Fanaah, she glitter everywhere like a shining diamond. While talking with her Just Showbiz discovers her a lady of very fine talent
.How did you choose acting as your career?
I think, Its not me but acting chose me(Laughs). Seriously, I can't do anything.Its a grace from god. I am a directors actor.
Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo has established you as an actor. How was it working with Siddharth Kumar Tewary and Swastik Productions?
It was great. They are like my secondfamily. I have established myself in Mumbai just because of my producers. Which ever producer I have worked with, that work gave me my next work. From doordharshan's show I got Radha ki Betiyaan'. Siddharth Kumar Tewary saw my work in Radha ki Betiyaan' and offered me Agle janam mohe bitiya hi kijo'. Swastik productions has a special place in my heart and I never say no to them. Thats why I played a very important role in their epic show Mahabharat' too.
You got eliminated from Big Boss 7 earlier than expected. What do you think are the reasons?
The reason is just me.(Smiles). Wrongcasting of ratan rajput in Big Boss. I don't create tamasha either in real like or anywhere else. The problem is that nobody had a problem with me. I don't say that I am a chui-Mui' type or a Sathi-Savitri' type but I am not loud.If you are wrong to me, then I will stand against it but if you don't them you gain a lot of respect from me.
You have proved that you are a versatile actor with immense diversified work you have done. What is your dream role?
Touch wood, I have been offered different kinds of roles by my producers and directors. In films, there are roles of Oh My GOD!!' moments. For me its Smitha Patil's old characters. Prostitute character attracts me the most because it has so many layers to it than just dance. I have done very less work and want to do work of all genres.
It is said that Fanaah' is inspired from Vampire Dairies'. Have you seen the show?
No, I haven't seen it But I cannot disclose any details as of now.
What inspired you to take up Fanaah'?
There is a big reason. One reason is Vikas Guptha whom I can trust completely. He is very good with casting and with his work. Fanaah is a youth based show with different concept. Generally in TV we rarely get such offers and I wanted to give it a try.
What preparations have you done to get into the skin of the character?
OMG!! Its really difficult. I am spending time with the creatives and Vikas Gupta. Naturally, I can visualize while reading the script which I cant tell you about right now. Its very difficult to play roles which are not seen in real life.
How is Karan Kundra as a co-actor?
He is very good, very co-operative. It doesn't feel like we are working. I love Karan Kundra and most important his bike.(Laughs).
How is it working with Vikas Gupta and the production house?
Vikas Guptha is very creative. He believes in experimenting and taking chances. He does a lot of detailing and is very good with narrations. Even if you have a bit of doubt, you can trust him with the way he narrates.
The fans of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo' want to see you and Abhishek Rawat together again. Any chances for that?
I would definitely love to work with him. May be they should call me to his show or he should come and act in mine. We are ready to work together so the producers and channels should be ready (Jokes).

Thanks for liking my work. I would request them to watch the show and give us a chance to show some thing different. Experiment leads to either praise or criticism. I am ready for both but I would request them to see the effort and guts behind offering something different
