Oh man Kri. I don't even know how I deserve such a long, beautiful, amazing, fabulous, heart-touching review from you. You are seriously fabulous. I don't know how much more I can praise you for being an amazing reviewer! You truly make my work seem valuable! I love you so much!
Kaustuki isn't heartless... I didn't ever think she was. In fact, I always thought that Sanyukta was more insensitive and inconsiderate than her. Kaustuki is a loyal supporter of Sanyu, but Sanyu initiates all the humiliating plans in the show. Just like that, Kaustuki is going to continue to support Sanyu throughout the challenge and help her when she needs it, but she won't necessarily think what Sanyu is doing is right. I tried to keep the characterization consistent here. She wants Sanyu to drop the challenge, because she realizes that this is a big deal... at first she was like, yeah right... RD won't fall for you Sanyu, because it seemed impossible. But now that it's actually happening, she is feeling guilty about challenging her in the first place. This is from Sanyu's point of view, so I can't go into Kaustuki's inner turmoil here (nor Randhir's for that matter =(). I like to keep my fics as realistic as I can... I mean sometimes I do like to take creative liberty (the excessive making out for example), but in the end, there are repercussions with everything I do... I make them genuinely have to pay for mistakes they make. So now since Sanyu and RD are making out... a lot, they're going to be even more attached with each other (obviously, since Sanyu doesn't go around making out everyone, and neither does RD), and then they'll eventually have to pay for that. About whether what Sanyu-RD is doing, is morally correct or not, I don't want to get into that, because everyone's perspectives differ on that matter, but the feelings and consequences that come associated with it for characters like them will be shown in future updates...
Don't apologize. I genuinely didn't want you to review so much because I thought you would over-exert yourself, but you managed to do it and that too, with amazing dedication and time. I love you for that! You are truly brilliant! But from now on, if you miss an update (or 5), just telling me you read it and liked it will mean a lot to me too... I just don't want you to feel stressed out because of all this reviewing, when it should be something you do for fun. So only do it if you like it! And yes, I told you to not apologize, because you shouldn't be apologizing! -_-
Hahaha Kri, I wouldn't make him not know just because people think he knows if I was planning to make him know this whole time. He is a genius, you are right, but I can't give that part away... I am so bad at hiding my plots and twists that I need to stop talking now. >.> But I love reading speculations, so never stop speculating!
If he was intentionally trying to make her fall for him, then yes he succeeded... but regardless, Sanyu has fallen for him and now that she has, there is going to be no doubt that heartbreak is on the cards. Love doesn't come without heartbreak... at least not in Saffi's writing world! She has decided already that she feels something for him and she doesn't want to leave him, but circumstances won't always favour our desires. She does love him a lot... and here's a hint (secret... not so secret because this is a public forum), but he loves her too. Now whether these two egoistic kids recognize and understand their feelings is another story.
Haha there is still some time to go before the heartbreak phase, so just enjoy it until then! Don't worry, at the very end, everything will be okay... *cough I am planning to write a sequel cough*. By the way, you analyze and understand my work really well... you truly know what my characters are like. Yeah, she's going to continue, because according to her, RD likes her, but she wants to make him fall fast so they can stay together... why prolong it if it can be done in 7 days you know? Wow, you're really involved in this fic! I hope everything that happens I do justice to! I hope all of your questions get answered soon, because I hate leaving loose ends. As of now, Sanyu and RD are crazy about each other... they may/may not have recognized their feelings for the other, and the 7 day challenge still exists from Sanyu's side in order for her to make sure that RD is there to stay with her. Not because she wants to hurt him or prove him wrong anymore. According to her, she still doesn't love him so she doesn't give a damn if he's heartbroken, but her own heart breaks at the thought... sooo she will come to that realization soon too.
I am very deeply touched by this review Kri! You are such a dedicated reviewer that I can't praise you enough for that. You are commendable... an inspiration, someone I look up to. Now this is dedication man! Thank you so much for taking the time to review like this, despite your busy schedule. *Pinches self* You are not a figment of my imagination, you are real... wow this world feels complete now! <3 I love you! Thank you once again. Thank you * infinity. I love you! <3
Sorry, just wanted to add a bit more so I'm quoting my own response!
Once again, you're too sweet Kri. Like TOO sweet. I love you so much. Sanyu and RD are going to get much closer in the upcoming chapters, that the heartbreak (when it comes, don't think about it now) is going to hurt... a lot. For them, not for us... and since heartbreaks don't usually get fixed in one day (or seven for that matter), I decided to introduce a sequel (once this is finished of course)... so 7 days won't finish in just 7 days, the sequel will deal with the consequences of their silly ego clashes, and the challenge, because like I already mentioned, in real life every action has an opposite and equal reaction. Every mistake will have a positive side and a negative side. Nothing is totally negative, nor positive, which is why I'm telling you from now that there will be a sequel to this so I can convey everything properly. xD
In the end (the very end I mean), SanDhir will be together, but this challenge would only be a reason for their strong relationship in the future. As of now, at least with Sanyukta, she does love him, but she isn't aware that love is not just a game. She will slowly continue to understand (it has already started, with her worried that this is a game for RD) that feelings are not... irrelevant haha. She can't make this a game and expect to come out with him loving her, and them living happily. It doesn't work that way. Which is what I eventually hope to achieve... let's see if it works out.
This challenge will be the starting point to their growth as not only individuals but two people who are mature enough to function as one through a relationship! Because relationships require maturity... and it isn't showing yet.
I tried to make this fic like this: it's light enough for you to read it without thinking too much about it, but it's also deep enough that you could extract something out of it if you want. I am trying to cater to all audiences. I hope I am succeeding.
Once again, thank you so much!
