CHAPTER-9.

I am a mirage,she teases me..

The reality-she scorns..

And like a drugged man,I seek her out-

The truth burns me again,and I mourn..

Baldev did not know if it was the reality or just a part of his dream..He did not even have the energy to think or duel on it too long,as he felt her nails digging onto his naked back and driving him wilder..

In all these months he had kept himself away from her,he had never imagined a kiss could be so delicious and arousing..That she would taste so good,her essence so drugging..

So he went on doing he only thing that made sense at that moment..He went on kissing her..Wildly,erotically,rawly,hungrily and endlessly..

As his hands caressed her hot skin under her kurti,his hot mouth went on plundering hers endlessly..He sucked and licked at the swollen softness of her lips,loving the taste and feel of them..He nibbled on her bottom lip making her moan out in response..

His hands went up to cup the soft swelling of her bosom,and as she gasped out against his lips,his tongue entered her mouth to duel with hers..And then his tongue moved in and out in her mouth,mimicking the age old motion of man's unison..Making her gasp and moan,and melt in his hold..

Baldev moved his lips off her lips,and kissed his way down her throat..

He nibbled at her exposed cleavage,and then moved to take a taut bud into his mouth again..

He loved the way his Veera arched her back,as he suckled on the aroused bud through the black lace,and suddenly he wanted to do more..

Breathing heavily and like a drugged man,he moved up,brushing his hardened shaft against her stomach as he did so..He kissed and licked on her throat,making her gasp out his name..

That was like a wave of renewed pleasure to him..To his deprived years for so many long months..

His body hardened some more,if that was really possible,and his heart was almost ready to burst,as he moved his lips upwards,making his way to those soft juicy lips again..To taste her sweetness yet again..

And as he suckled on the soft skin of her throat,on the way to her lips,he felt waves of ecstasy hit him,and drive his already hot body hotter..

Baldev was just nibbling on her jaw,when a loud ringing sound interrupted the silence that only had their mingled harsh breathing earlier..

Baldev went still,and slowly raised himself up to look at her face,as her phone went on ringing in her pocket..

He waited for her to-..

"Veerji..Mere waste pareshaan ho gaya hoga..

[Veerji..He must be worried about me..]"She mumbled in a breathless voice,and looked away..But not before Baldev read the guilt clearly written across her features..

That was when the harsh reality crushed in..

Again he was fooled,and again he had realized it was nothing but a Mirage..She wouldnever chose him over everything..It had all been a trick again..

Frustrated more at himself than her,he rose up in one swift movement..And without sparing a single look at Veera,he strode into the cottage and closed the door with a loud thud..

Veera was about to call him back,that she was not going to answer the phone..That she had just gotten embarrassed at the typhoon of emotions she had been feeling suddenly let loose.

That she was just awkward and uncomfortable of suddenly seeing him and then jump on him just like that,without any words..Without saying how much she had missed him..How much she had thought about him every second he was gone..

That she had let her raw need for him loose,without first putting them to words for him..Without telling him how sorry she was for hurting him so many times and so much..

A silent sob escaped her lips,as tears fell down her cheeks..

Slowly she rose up,and fixed her clothes..

Looking yearningly at the closed door..Baldev had again locked her away..

And suddenlyVeera did not know how to close this yawning spasm of time,space and misunderstanding between them,and get close to him..

This was not the same Baldev Singh who had left Pritampura,she could tell..And she knew she had to bring him back..Not for his family,or for his own good..But for herself..She needed him back..!

She closed her eyes,and let the tears fall down..

Her phone rang again,and Veera clenched her hand into tight fists..

For the first time in her life,Veera wanted to throw the phone and all her responsibilities away..For the first time she felt choked and restless,as if her responsibilities were pulling her away from the man she yearned for..

She took another step towards the closed cottage door,but the ringing phone stopped her..

She wiped away her tears and let out a long sigh..She was sure she would not be able to talk senses to him right now..Maybe he needed some time..

She decided,and passing a last yearning look at the closed cottage door,she made her way to home..

But her inner voice was not late in poking her..

LIAR!It's not He who needs time..!It's you..It's always about YOU!!!Your problem,Your family,Your feelings!!!Did you ever put all these away and put HIM first?!Did you Veera?!Do you dare to to put him first in everything?!

The voice taunted her,and with another sob,Veera closed her ears and ran fast..

She was not ready to face these now..

A wounded and angry Baldev watched Veera leaving,through the window,and hit the wall hard in rage.

Blod sipped down his clenched fingers,but he was unaware of the pain,as a different pain clouded his senses..

He had lost again..!To her other priorities..And why would she care..She did not love him..

He cursed himself loudly,and decided to go for axing woods again..

The only way he could drown his pain was thorugh sheer strebuous exercise ,until he felt drained and could not feel a thing..

He was stepping out of the house,when he saw a shining button on the courtyard..

He closed his eyes,as pan took over him,and he fell to the ground,shattered onto his knees..

It was Veera's kurti button..And he already missed her..!

How could he have forgotten she was nothing but a mirage?!

"VEERA!!!"He groaned out into the silent night,as tears fell down his bearded cheeks..

And Baldev was lost to painful memories again..
