Pakistani author and screenwriter, Umera Ahmed who's famous for books like Pir-e-Kamil, Lahasil and recently hit headlines in India, courtesy her hit serial, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which stars- Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan is headed to India.
According to recent reports, Ahmed has received an offer to write for a show which will be produced by an Indian filmmaker.
Apparently, the writer is in a fix now since she cannot imagine writing long TV serials as per the trend on the Indian television.
"None of my shows have ever touched 30 episodes, so I don't feel comfortable or competent enough to write for such long shows. There are daily soaps in Pakistan too but writers like
me who also write novels can't drag a story to 100 episodes," Umera was quoted as saying by a leading news agency.
Umera, who's in her late thirties is still contemplating on accepting the offer and might take up a series which is finite, instead of work on a never ending saga.
With the overwhelming response Zindagi Gulzar Hai has received, the writer is waiting to watch how the Indian audience receives Maat, a soon to begin series which has been
penned by Umera again.
'Maat', which begins on Saturday is a story of two sisters with different perceptions and principles in life.
