Raghu was being his usual obnoxious self in the worst possible manner even taking digs at Nikumb's father...he started the conversation with an attempt to put Nikumb down and tell him to stay away from Yamini...
But I absolutely loved LOVED how Nikumb handled him...didn't really lose his temper although briefly his face darkened when Raghu mentioned his father...but for the most part he had this easy, amused smile on his face and such CONFIDENCE in his eyes as he gave easy replies back to everything Raghu said...especially the last bit when Raghu openly warned him off of Yamini or he'd see the worst of Raghu, Nikumb replies that he hadn't really thought about it yet but now he will have to see how to go about itđ
Raghu started the conversation thinking he had the upper hand and could intimidate Nikumb but Nikumb was the one to end the conversation and came out on top with his dignity very much intact...
I think it's Nikumb's self-confidence that pisses off Raghu all the moređ...and I really enjoyed the way Nikumb put Raghu in his placeđ
Nikumb's self-confidence is an amazingly attractive quality I have to say...Abhishek played this scene really well.
I also liked this evaluating look that Nikumb had in his eyes as Raghu prattled on...the entire scene was very well directed to convey the shift of emotion, the tension b/w the two men...the relationship b/w NY is yet to begin and Raghu is already losing it...Nikumb hasn't even decided to full on battle Raghu yet aur yeh haal hai...what will Raghu do when Nikumb decides to fight for his relationship with Yamini?đ...
One of the dialogues I absolutely loved was when Raghu says to Nikumb that his value will increase by having his name associated with Lucknow ki star Yamini Singh to which Nikumb just smiles and goes, "I don't really understand the way you add up these numbers, this math"...lol...Raghu will deffo try to pick at Nikumb's pride by constantly belittling him in front of Yamini's star status.
NM's narration highlighted Raghu's jealousy at noticing another man's importance in Yamini's life...even if it's not romantic in nature yet...he ofcourse wants to presume that his daughter is innocent and Nikumb is taking advantage of her innocenceđ
