Nikumb's self-confidence is amazing

I have to take a break from the TIL format to make a special mention of the most dhamakedaar scene today...the Raghu-Nikumb scene.

Raghu was being his usual obnoxious self in the worst possible manner even taking digs at Nikumb's father...he started the conversation with an attempt to put Nikumb down and tell him to stay away from Yamini...

But I absolutely loved LOVED how Nikumb handled him...didn't really lose his temper although briefly his face darkened when Raghu mentioned his father...but for the most part he had this easy, amused smile on his face and such CONFIDENCE in his eyes as he gave easy replies back to everything Raghu said...especially the last bit when Raghu openly warned him off of Yamini or he'd see the worst of Raghu, Nikumb replies that he hadn't really thought about it yet but now he will have to see how to go about it😆

Raghu started the conversation thinking he had the upper hand and could intimidate Nikumb but Nikumb was the one to end the conversation and came out on top with his dignity very much intact...

I think it's Nikumb's self-confidence that pisses off Raghu all the more😆...and I really enjoyed the way Nikumb put Raghu in his place👏

Nikumb's self-confidence is an amazingly attractive quality I have to say...Abhishek played this scene really well.

I also liked this evaluating look that Nikumb had in his eyes as Raghu prattled on...the entire scene was very well directed to convey the shift of emotion, the tension b/w the two men...the relationship b/w NY is yet to begin and Raghu is already losing it...Nikumb hasn't even decided to full on battle Raghu yet aur yeh haal hai...what will Raghu do when Nikumb decides to fight for his relationship with Yamini?😆...

One of the dialogues I absolutely loved was when Raghu says to Nikumb that his value will increase by having his name associated with Lucknow ki star Yamini Singh to which Nikumb just smiles and goes, "I don't really understand the way you add up these numbers, this math"...lol...Raghu will deffo try to pick at Nikumb's pride by constantly belittling him in front of Yamini's star status.

NM's narration highlighted Raghu's jealousy at noticing another man's importance in Yamini's life...even if it's not romantic in nature yet...he ofcourse wants to presume that his daughter is innocent and Nikumb is taking advantage of her innocence😆

Thanks :-)

LOL yeah Yamini has made the jump from friend to best friend quite quickly😆 and that's definitely a huge blow for Raghu.

Nikumb really garnered more respect from me today for not letting Raghu's petty snobbery and blatant rudeness get to him...the way he was cutting in each time Nikumb was speaking and so OBVIOUSLY ignoring anything Nikumb said...very annoying.

Yamini really lives in her own bubble if she can't see her father's behavior for what it is and actually thought that Raghu would be THANKING Nikumb in private? Yeah right...I wonder if/when Nikumb will tell her the truth about what her father actually said to him.

@AreYaar i don't think Nikumbh gone ever tell truth abt her father's views on him simple reason is he just can't see her hurt ... there is so much unspoken understanding between them ... which is evident from last few epi's i find Ragh's behaviour very childish why he is always on threatening mode Nikumbh is way too smart he has ability to look at innerself of person thats why i think he able to handle the situation today... ur so right abt Respect thing means now a days very few lead character from tv serials r able to get respect from viewers and Nikumbh definitly one of them ... thats true Yamini lives in her own world though she was trying her best to create good impression abt Nikumbh in front of her family thats why may be she thought that her father might had thanked him ..but still kind of complicated on her part to think so highly abt her father specially knowing his temperament

If words were daggers, Nikumbh and Raghavendar inflicted serious injuries to one another😊. The confrontation by the window was really well done and at one point the camera zoomed out with these two in one corner and Yamini's photograph at the other end.. almost like being at the periphery, oblivious to the happenings, which is what translated in the scene with her dadi.

The sutradhar's interlude was a perfect timing👍🏼. Father and daughter happy in the respective companies of their "khaas" dost yet not completely happy. While Yamini regrets not having given Nikumbh the right welcome, Raghavendar is not able to completely soak in the moment as jealousy sets in.

Yes it's true that Nikumb isn't telling Yamini about her father simply cuz he doesn't want to replace that innocent joy in her eyes with hurt and pain...Yamini was literally glowing with happiness yesterday...hard to imagine just a month back this girl was always walking around depressed.

And yes I also like how perceptive Nikumb is...like he gauged Yamini so well after he met her, he has now evaluated the kind of person Raghu is too and handled him accordingly.

Oh wow I never even noticed the bit with Yamini's picture in the background...sharp eyes you've got there! Thanks for mentioning this...gives the scene more depth.

Yes, the sutradhar's timing is usually bang on and the highlight of any epi they show him in...Yamini rambling on about what all she wanted to do to give Nikumb a special welcome was a sweet bit and even Raghu-Akhlaque's reunion bit was nice until Raghu's jealousy of Nikumb took over and he started behaving pathetically as always.

You dont love Raghu I infer😆 It was lot of over protectiveness + the utter over confidence that his daughter could do no wrong 😲that came into the picture during the conversation. If this confrontation was a precursor to future conversations between these two .. then it is an excellent start, each man standing his ground😊 As you pointed out Nikumbh's calm and collected expressions dropped for a second when his father was mentioned but he quickly regained it back

I did not expect Yamini to react otherwise. She is a girl who heart of hearts knows that she is living her father's dream but willingly accepts it because of her unshakable trust in him.. part of the story is Yamini coming into her own slowly but surely and I am liking the way the morphing is being unfurled onscreen.
