Are We Missing Diversity In Bollywood?

On a more serious note, I feel as though, especially with actresses, that the actresses that we have currently - all of them are very similar looking and they don't represent the diversity that India has to offer.

Its it glorify the dark skin and mock the fair skin topic again. Sonakshi is bengali and is more of nutrel complextion. And there is another mohinjadaro female who is dusky, not much south indians though.. but even in south india they they prefer North Indian models as actress.

Let me tell you first that only north indians are not fair skinned people!! Go to Mangalore and you will find people far more fair than your so called north indians 🥱

they may be distinct but off screen only...on screen they all look same,painted and plastic...

We could have diversity, but people who look like Dhanush are automatically called ugly regardless of how talented they are. How can we have diversity then ? That Mohenjodaro girl was also called ugly. Not so long ago, people who looked like Rani, Kajol and Karishma, not exactly great lookers but excellent actors were in BW. Now all we have are pale imitations.

If someone who looks like Lupita N'yongo comes to BW and has her talent will we shut the door because she is dark skinned ? BW's loss
