I am so excited!
Amitabh Bachchan is amazing!👏 But doesn't he seem too big for small screen?

The show has really subtle feel to it. Visually looks like a film. Bare minimum background music.

Cast looks so so stellar! 👏 Especially glad to see Kay Kay also.

I think show will be acclaimed but its viewership will be niche. Very niche given its treatment.

Share your first reactions please. 😊

Just noticed Big B's company is called Shanti constructions in Yudh! That was the name of his company in Trishul! Subtle reference to his own iconic moments! 😉

The way the episode opened with a lovely view and then AB sir waking up in a fright was a unique beginning.

The first dialogue of the show "Badaam bheego diye hain. Yaad se kha li jiye ga." It gives you a feeling that this is the story of a common, but rich man who falls into extraordinary circumstances.

Then the way Kay Kay Menon is brought into the story was interesting. He will have an interesting character because they are showing a grey shade to his character which kind of represents the real commissioners as well.

Shanti Constructions. A nice mention to his legendary work in Trishul.

The introduction to Yudh's family was something different, especially the way Yudh's wife was angry at her own father.

I wonder what this Ranjan did that Yudh doesn't like him and is willing to do anything to avoid meeting him.

The meeting between Mona, Anand, and those 2 builders was very cool. It was tense and foreshadowed what could happen in the future.

I like how Anand easily handled Ranjan. It's like Ranjan is scared of Anand or something. That's a good relationship to explore in the show.

That news piece was awesome! It gives a good look into the future. I like how Anand guessed that Yudh may have put the news through even though Anand and Mona had made a deal. And then Anand tries to explain what has happened and even mentions Rishi (Yudh's son) in between.

Taruni is brought in right away, which is a good move. If they had kept her out of the loop for too long then the story wouldn't have been interesting enough. I like how they have a cordial relationship.

The doctor-Yudh discussion left me hanging for more. I like how he kept repeating "10 000 log ki rozi roti hai". It shows how much he cares for his employees. Again a nice tribute to his roles as a union worker or business owner in movies.

Yudh rushing to save Taruni and the entire hospital staff and patients was great! And then Yudh rushing to save Taruni even as the building was falling. Hats off to him!

The best part was the technology showcase. They had phones ringing, SMSes coming in non-stop, the news looking like news, usage of laptop, and so much more. Serials miss that so much that I was really happy when the SMS rings kept coming in. It wasn't annoying but rather realistic.

IMPRESSIVE!
That's the word I would use to convey my reaction to first episode. Basic plot and most of the characters (that I believe would survive till end) are introduced. Now what awaits is: how the story of YUDH unfolds?

Looking forward to next episode.

Finally watched the first episode.
It matched up to my expectations. I knew it was going to be impressive especially since such an amazing cast is involved. The acting was good, scenes were to the point without much drag, characters & their interactions with each other were realistic & something one can relate to. And oh I have to emphasise that I loved that the BG was subtle & soft. Not over-dramatic like what we see in other serials.

Will give my take on characters & story after few more episodes.

I am definitely gonna enjoy this & looking forward to more. Also looking forward to this forum :)

and of course the legend...it is indeed surreal to see him on the small screen...he looks too big for it...
wonder what Yudh is suffering...???
