Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shahrukh Khan are close friends, and that's the reason why the director-producer has apparently screened his forthcoming production Mary Kom starring Priyanka Chopra for him.
As per sources, Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently hosted a private screening of his upcoming biopic on Mary Kom for Shahrukh Khan, and the King Khan has also given his valuable feedback.
A biopic of Indian boxing champ Mary Kom, the film is directed by Omung Kumar and is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's big project with the bankable Priyanka Chopra playing the famous pugilist. Priyanka has worked hard for the film and even trained in boxing skills to look the part. Naturally, a lot rides on the movie, and Sanjay being a perfectionist wanted an expert advice, and thus Shahrukh came into the picture.
It's learnt that Sanjay always wanted to show the rushes of the film to SRK, but couldn't due to busy schedules of the two.
"Bhansali is busy with the pre-production of Bajirao Mastani' and has finished working on Mary Kom whereas Shahrukh Khan has been busy shooting for Farah Khan's film, Happy New Year'. As a result, their dates weren't working out. But last week, SRK saw the film and he discussed it with Bhansali for nearly two hours," a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Incidentally, Shahrukh Khan is also fond of Priyanka Chopra, his co-actress in Don series. The two have also been romantically linked up in the past.
