Shevtal is busy with work (miss her captivating analysis😛) Here's another attempt to analyse Gaurav aka Abhimanyu scenes from Yes'day episode, esp for Shweta (scorpiangirl) whose itching to write.😆 Yes'day episode was boring and full of stupidity.
The first scene is where Abhi is trying to get in touch with Raj and the way he says "Raj phone nahi utaa raha" / red box uske samne tha/ proof uske haath mein hai you can feel the sense of urgency, desperation and perhaps a little joy at succeeding for something so dearly wished for, something so precious. But als it dawns upon that there is no news so there is worry, anxiety in his heart for his friend. What could have happened and why don't we just finish all this. Naina comes in tense and both are anxious to find out abt Raj wondering kya hua hoga, kahi kuch anhoni…Both of them just want to know impatiently. In this single scene both the Abhi-Naina express their feelings for Rajveer, their care concerned and affection. But still a little visible emotion could have made it brilliant.⭐️
Abhi enters the room where Alekh is sulking. Picking up the piece of glass and I thought he will recite 'yeh joh seeshe ka tukda hai yeh tukda nahi tumhare dil ka dard hai jo aaj bahar aa gaya hai' (ok just funny shayari-in AB baritone😆) but they did save the worst for last.
"Isliye itna pite ho" was an understanding and yet a comment made to make him realize the seriousness of life. I liked the "off-duty" with the jerk or movement of hand making it so expressive & continued with "off sachai/off everything" reflecting the frustration and anger towards his escapist attitude of running away from adversity. Abhi wants to make him face adversity, take on responsibility become mature. Through out this scene Gaurav's face is layered with emotions of pain, understanding, discomfort- Very Well done Gaurav.👏👏
"Pyaar karto ho usse toh phir uski zimmedari uthane se darte kyu ho here speaking like an elder brother or guide who is helping him to decide, to grow up in life. Mind you he is speaking eye to eye like they say man to man, trying to create a bond where he is helping him but as a superior not on par. But when it doesn't heed he gets onto his level telling him for you Capt Shekhawat coaxed BC to let you stay and what proud are doing in return, can you become a good soldier the ques for which only Alekh has the answers. Here Abhi's tone is fine it gels well with the situation but again the depth is lacking in the dialogue itself. "Ek orderly ek qaidi joh kabhi sipahi nahi ban sakta" was to spur the latent passion , his dream, his desire to become something perhaps a great soldier. To an extent he does succeed in making Alekh burst out but only on an emotional level still lacking the will, the determination to make it in life, which is still not stoked upon.
Now for the worst and ridiculous part which was completely unwarranted😕. The whole scene how Abhi pulls Alekh to stand up and applies a "khoon ka teeka" seemed to inspired from 80's "Maang Bharo Sajna" prototype hindi movies medley into a pathetic version of Brokeback mountain.🤢
The idea is to make Alekh transform into a soldier there are millions of sensible ideas, which the scriptwriter/director are just not heeding to.😭
The remarks like fabulous /mind-blowing /awesome 😉& more are invited & greatly welcomed😆
