Shevtal is busy with work (miss her captivating analysis😛) Here's another attempt to analyse Gaurav aka Abhimanyu scenes from Yes'day episode, esp for Shweta (scorpiangirl) whose itching to write.😆 Yes'day episode was boring and full of stupidity.

The first scene is where Abhi is trying to get in touch with Raj and the way he says "Raj phone nahi utaa raha" / red box uske samne tha/ proof uske haath mein hai you can feel the sense of urgency, desperation and perhaps a little joy at succeeding for something so dearly wished for, something so precious. But als it dawns upon that there is no news so there is worry, anxiety in his heart for his friend. What could have happened and why don't we just finish all this. Naina comes in tense and both are anxious to find out abt Raj wondering kya hua hoga, kahi kuch anhoni…Both of them just want to know impatiently. In this single scene both the Abhi-Naina express their feelings for Rajveer, their care concerned and affection. But still a little visible emotion could have made it brilliant.⭐️

Abhi enters the room where Alekh is sulking. Picking up the piece of glass and I thought he will recite 'yeh joh seeshe ka tukda hai yeh tukda nahi tumhare dil ka dard hai jo aaj bahar aa gaya hai' (ok just funny shayari-in AB baritone😆) but they did save the worst for last.

"Isliye itna pite ho" was an understanding and yet a comment made to make him realize the seriousness of life. I liked the "off-duty" with the jerk or movement of hand making it so expressive & continued with "off sachai/off everything" reflecting the frustration and anger towards his escapist attitude of running away from adversity. Abhi wants to make him face adversity, take on responsibility become mature. Through out this scene Gaurav's face is layered with emotions of pain, understanding, discomfort- Very Well done Gaurav.👏👏

"Pyaar karto ho usse toh phir uski zimmedari uthane se darte kyu ho here speaking like an elder brother or guide who is helping him to decide, to grow up in life. Mind you he is speaking eye to eye like they say man to man, trying to create a bond where he is helping him but as a superior not on par. But when it doesn't heed he gets onto his level telling him for you Capt Shekhawat coaxed BC to let you stay and what proud are doing in return, can you become a good soldier the ques for which only Alekh has the answers. Here Abhi's tone is fine it gels well with the situation but again the depth is lacking in the dialogue itself. "Ek orderly ek qaidi joh kabhi sipahi nahi ban sakta" was to spur the latent passion , his dream, his desire to become something perhaps a great soldier. To an extent he does succeed in making Alekh burst out but only on an emotional level still lacking the will, the determination to make it in life, which is still not stoked upon.

Now for the worst and ridiculous part which was completely unwarranted😕. The whole scene how Abhi pulls Alekh to stand up and applies a "khoon ka teeka" seemed to inspired from 80's "Maang Bharo Sajna" prototype hindi movies medley into a pathetic version of Brokeback mountain.🤢

The idea is to make Alekh transform into a soldier there are millions of sensible ideas, which the scriptwriter/director are just not heeding to.😭

The remarks like fabulous /mind-blowing /awesome 😉& more are invited & greatly welcomed😆

perhaps this type of transformation was demanded by the script...mujhe lagta hai ke abhi will turn out to be a spy...and then alekh will be the one who will help abhi or he will be the one to kill this royal prince...maybe that's why this filmi type scene was zaroori ...

Very well done Lirh... 👏

First scene was average to me.... when he was trying to contact him over phone...

I liked scene with Alekh more ( mind it ... I am not talking about maang bharo sajna.. 😆 )... you have analysed it very well... so wont repeat that...
I think dialogue/script writers are running short of ideas of strengthening people during weak moments of life... "Hamaari aankhon mein dekhiye..to recorder mil jaayega...'... Now Alekh is feeling low... so Abhimanyu has to give him royal power.... Does that mean ... people on low positions cant stand up without royal power... I would have liked it more if dialogue writer could have given much better dialogues here... Though this scene started off very well... Abhimanyu understood Alekh's pain and frustration and handled it well... but towards the end... he ran out of his mind... He was being a mentor... was asking him to be a man and hold her hand... but then suddenly how did he decide that its not possible without royal power... Anyway... I liked Gaurav's body language in this scene... Though his face is looking a bit tired throughout the episode ( Now we know, he does not sleep ...but I seriously think as he is passionate about acting and every scene that he does... sleeping is also a part of his profession ... equally important as gymming and maintaining his physique...So gaurav... better take out 6-7 hours of sleep regularly...)Also I think makeup man is not doing his job well... Though I liked the change the tone in his voice as ever.. when he started speaking like his highness....and i think it was a change deliberately done and very well done... He can play with his voice and tone very well... I have not seen anybody else doing this so well... Now once again as I always say... it would have looked super silly if these lines would have been said by someone else....but he did his part well.. 😊

Hi there. Lirh you are doing a great job and i'm sure everyone will second me on that one.
As for the 'maang bharo sajna' scene, i have only one observation to make... we're all saying it was very filmi... but what about lrl is not filmi?.... this whole 'haraami' thing, najaayaz hoon isliye duniya mujhe nahi samajhti is so Laawaris.... then the whole track about Neelu pregnant with someone else's child is also so 70s ka film.... Nothing is lrl is ever shot realistically, its usually very stylised....
What i am trying to say is that we should always look at something within its context.... ab agar Sholay/Golmaal ko realistically assess karne baithenge, toh bahut loopholes niklenge.... and yet i can watch these films over and over again.
So here the question to ask is not 'is this ridiculous?'... of course this is ridiculous.... but the question should then be 'within the filmi framework, is this done badly or well?'....
and i thought Gaurav did the scene well.... (when he said 'i appoint you royal gaurd', for a minute Eklavya flashed through my mind).... i just think that he is portraying nobility well.... when Saif does it well, its less surprising because it comes naturally to him.... i think a certain kind of regal arrgance also comes naturally to Gaurav.... but even then he is getting the nuances of it right.
Chalo that was my devil's advocate take on this. Tell me what you think.

To explain further, as audience we watch every film with certain expectations.... now if we are watching Dhoom, and they show that suddenly Hrithik/John's bike stops because he has run out of petrol and there is no petrol pump nearby, we would feel very irritated 😆 😆.... in a movie like Dhoom, one is not looking for reality but style...
Similarly, i know people who disliked Parzania because they thought it was not real in its depiction of the Gujarat riots... gruesome and well intentioned yes but not real... I cant comment on this since i still havent seen it but again the film is criticised is because expectations from it are different.
I have been watching lrl season 1 on tv and season 2 as well... and i think the show is stylised and filmi, not natural and not real.... the whole truck sequence, for instance, each and every kick of Dr. Ritu was stylised (also stylish but that is because Shweta is a stylish actor, she brings that to all her roles).... thats why i'm saying change the question.... within this stylised/filmy framework, was the scene done badly or well?
