A story where the females role is a prop to be protected should be left to BW, tellywood audiences want to see the female lead overpowering villains through her intelligence. The creatives have tried the focus on the male character and quite frankly it's failed for trp audiences so perhaps as a last ditch effort they should try to concentrate on Paro, firstly to make up for the terrible neglect of the character and secondly to see if that helps trps. If they, for whatever reason, don't want to do that then at least have Paro working with Rudra. I mean seriously the Paro who despite being timid was able to hold her own against Rudra, escape from the BSD and who had the strength to then return because she thought it was the best way to save her village, the one who could stand up to Kakisa to protect her jeeja, the one who beat off kidnappers and rescued both Maithali and Sumer, the one who escaped by herself from Tejawat has been turned into a romance novel heroine who sits in the car and screams Major Saab when she's not in any danger at all?? I know RR is made to be more like a BW film but it's abundantly clear that that format doesn't work on indian tv, especially on a channel like Colors, so the creatives need to get back to a the tried and tested formula of a strong female lead character if they are interested in prolonging the show otherwise they can carry on the way they are now.

Very well said, Jaya 👏👏👏 ... this is something many of us have been saying again and again ... the makers have tried to make this show completely male-centric ... and it has not worked. They need to make the female lead much stronger ... and do it wisely and carefully ... not the way Paro forcefed Rudra into accepting Mala, with no proper justification given for either woman ... but by making her wise and sensible, a true equal partner for her husband.

Paro has been affected by Varun's treachery much more than anyone else ... she was also the one most affected by Tejawat's treachery. For Rudra, getting Tejawat is his job ... for Paro, it should have been her own personal revenge for both herself and her parents. By making her just a meek loving housewife, the makers have effectively torpedoed their show ... hope they realise it before it's too late.

It would be really good if Paro was the one who got suspicious of Shantanu first ... an unwary mention of Varun, for instance ... she and Mala are the only ones who know his name. For that, the writers would actually have to put some thought into the track ... hope they do so.

Bold- Very true, wonder why the writers keep missing this point nowadays, they are forgetting how they started their own story.

Have they closed the door though on Paro's betrayal by both Varun and Tejawat? It would be weird all of a sudden to have Paro upset about that phase of her life after she already seems to have forgotten what she went through. I suppose at a stretch they could show Shantanu doing something that would hit a nerve for Paro but that could only happen once Shantanu is exposed. I don't know seems like the cvs have firmly swung the proverbial kuladi on their own feet by ignoring Paro's emotions.

Bold- It has to be something drastic to make Paro react, as the CVs have developed amnesia regarding Paro's backstory so far, I mean Paro does not even remember her mami for a moment nowadays. So either Shantanu reveals his true colors, blames her for being shameless widow or she sees Varun's pic something of that sort. And this will happen only if the track gives some focus to Paro, so let's see.

Paro remembered recently that she was Varun's widow ... she reminded Rudra of that fact during the Mala track ... and he shut her up ... because he did not want to think about it. But this way, she will be forced to remember ... she was married to Varun in view of her entire village ... whom they also seem to have forgotten 😕 ... with proper rites. Compared to that, it is her marriage to Rudra which was a sham ... it still is a sham in a sense, as they have not done the pheras or any of the rites in a proper way.

Maybe Shantanu can reveal himself to her, and remind her that she is his brother's widow ... and a shameless woman for marrying his killer, that too after living with him in his room ... but it won't really affect Paro now. Rudra's entire family has accepted her with open arms ... she knows about Varun's treachery, so does the rest of the family .. so she has no reason to feel upset about marrying Rudra.

What it might do is make Paro reveal Varun's true colors to Shantanu ... we still don't know whether Shantanu knows that part or not. And if the cvs want to reform Shantanu through Paro, that could open up another track ... and make way for the jealous Rudra.

Let's see how the cvs take this.
