Those steely eyes and resolve, it was tremendously invigorating to hear that asr BG score after many eons. Loved your passionate take on his unbreakable spirits. Nothing succeeds like success.. The way he handled his life tragedies can be quite inspiring.
He is always subtle, and would do things without much fuss, and he knew getting out from theer is the primary objective there. Contrary, Khushi is always loud, not that its good or bad but thats her stamp, her style. .. unknowingly she is getting ready in red for the reunion.. so are we.

Very pleasant read rhea. thank you.

Invigorating.. that is what those two minutes felt like Indu.. I had a vague idea would skip and write 265 directly when they end up meeting. But this scene kept playing in my mind.. the actor just wouldnt lemme go ahead.. And finally I thought if he can give me something to want to write about in just those fleeting silent but powerful seconds I should write.

Am glad you liked it.. Thanks a lot.. And sure different styles, but my friend am pretty certain that we both loooveee the one style beyond reason and comprehension.. 😉

lovely take, rhea... the man showed his skills fabulously during kidnap... thrilling absolutely. would have been nice if there was some real story element too...but i will just be happy with teh rare lovelies here and there.

please see blue deluge. 😆

Am liking all that blue and pink up there Indi di. thank you.

your description of the highway in the middle of nowhere.. I need to go find some book and read.. daphne du maurier Jamaica Inn, have you read? Actually I was seeing 266 and thinking the outside also was good. Not where Barun was running, but where Sanaya was running. The jungle.. That hut also had just the atmosphere. Maybe they don't have the budget to get the millionaires bathroom right, but the kidnappers lair can be setup perfectly.. 😆

ferocious.. out of control.. how tempting it all sounds along with the doses of tum thik ho, toh ab manwa lete hai, lagi shart..

vulnerability.. uff.. and the kind that kept telling me he was still not really thinking about himself but that he had to get back to Khushi, his family. Wonder how I manage to get that sense..

geography teacher.. 🤣 ..

mamr release.. it will all be good soon.. humein vishwas hain.. and then do we wear our IPK tshirts or chamkili shiny red with lots of pompoms to the movie hall?

episode 263

"kaun hai ee log," who are these people, asked manorama watching the cc tv footage on the video player. asr left with four goons.

and soon after, ransom or firauti came up. kidnap was clearly mentioned by khushi... and mami ji got ready to sell everything she had for "handsome" as in ransom. writer had a nice inspired second and perhaps laughed a little at the followers of handsome who by then were ready to do anything for him... and they were certainly not keeping quiet on the forum and elsewhere.

it's been a week since he's gone. if he's been kidnapped, mysteriously no ransom has been asked for.

"bhat eej moteebhj?" asks mami ji. a smart question. one more that would never be answered. anyway, like asr i have decided to love ipk without insiting on anything being proved or substantiated... given in before a higher emotion... lub.

and just to tell me not to ever ever lose hope come a few exquisite moments.

almost halfway into the episode, there's hard reality on one side; and a man in ropes with a dream in his heart on the other.

khushi has
just said that no matter what she will find out about the four guys who have kidnapped arnav ji and a slow cross dissolve to asr lying prone, weak and wan it seems...

when a gust of wind and something awaken him... again that visual hint of connection between the two.
his eyes are incredulous, lips break into a slight smile... so tired he looks.

camera goes across his back and reveals what gets his eyes shining... it is she. she sits there in yellow and green looking up at him...

hey hey... the wind blows steady... another world it creates again.

as he gazes at her a little confused, not quite sure what to make of this, energy pours into him, he smiles... sort of, head lifting..

no double, no triple... it's them together after a long long time.

"khushi..." he must whisper her name... in it is life... is hope... is love

is his reality.

his hand reaches immediately... a grasp of heaven, a worn out man seeks. always ready to fight back, not give in, take the little hope held out to him.

a beautiful poignant gesture, she looks at his hand, it can't reach where it wants to...

he looks at his hand almost shocked as if he has no recollection of it being bound...

the brave free man...

her tears flow at the sight of the ropes...

she looks at that stopped hand...

a terribly helpless moment... asr is defeated?

he has to ask.. "khushi sach mein tum ho?" is it you... really.

it's perhaps never a matter of truth or false, but one of faith, belief, vishwas. extra rational. like her stars is she to him at this moment it seems to me... he will believe she is here. and in that itself the strength he has lost in the years of living locked and stricken. holding onto only the hard realities, the here and now... money, power, things that this world understands... he has fought back with that... but this one needs more. it needs the power of a dream. a palpable one. one he can touch. his hands are restless to catch it and keep it.

so tired, parched...

the sweetest smile, "mujhe laga koi sapna hai..." i thought you were a dream.

as her hand... free... easily moves and goes all the way up to his cheek, he turns his face, holding his cheek out to feel her touch... first time since he has told her that he does love her... khushi, i love you.

how much his mind and heart must be yearning for her right now.

a fantasy, a dream seems to be here... loving him...

"yeh sapna hi toh hai, arnav ji..." this is a dream indeed, says the beautiful girl with tears and a magic touch.

and she's gone... he is alone.

bereft, barren and dark is his world once more. perhaps as it had always been till she fell in that outlandish moment into his arms.

he is lost but again his fist clenches tight, he looks down at what his hand opens to reveal is in it... a pink pompom...

seemed again a part of her had found a way to latch onto him... dupatta, jhumka, gota edge of kurta, now pompom... how much she had beseeched him not to go at the airport. she had snatched away his ticket and passport. seems when he took it back from her brusquely, along had come a dark pink pompom and settled into his pocket for the long ride ahead.

clutching it, a sign of the jhalli mad girl he loves, he survives on a hope.

the emptiness in his eyes.

mat jaiye, she had said.

she had taken care of him at night... held his hand over a huge rangoli... moments of his lover breathe life into in this hour of despair. he has smashed the picture... he is flinging her on the bed.

the memories fill him with pain.

she is outside the airport, he is striding in... the last time they met.

it's been more than a week. mami ji is convinced even the dhobi can't be trusted... writers use mami ji to go to the point where khushi starts thinking shyam may be a suspect too and the chase begins. he has asked some man to be brought to some mysterious place, khushi no doubt will follow him.

This write up is not a one to comment.. but to be quiet.. read.. read and get soaked.. and when it ended..it melted like that dream of arnavji.. that he didn't want to believe to be a dream..

Beautiful.. beautiful indi.. that poem on the top.. passionately asrish...
that in blue.. seemingly simple yet very philosophically caught the light years distance between a dream and reality...
His deep need to be with her after that confession was beautifully caught in that dream, just like she had one by the pool side, and he was left with a miniscule souvenir just to hang on to litreally.

That handsome, the writers, makers were indeed super proud of their handsome hero.. he was addressed hero a couple of times by autowalas and passersby..

indu,
i am touched by your comment and so happy you felt the writing the way you did. you are aware i ramble and don't have any real structure in mind when i write... but i do often ask myself, so what is this writing supposed to do, other than establish that i talk a lot... always the answer is if it can make a person feel and touch their own feelings... hmmm that's what the writing should do.

i felt that happened this time. a weird point of connection between writer and reader... a little outside hard reality even maybe.

loved your light years distance comment.

and yes, totally fell for that oye hero from automan.

i noticed your lovely noting of 2 minutes of crux in rhea's 264 take. thing is during kidnap, every time asr appeared everything felt concentrated and somehow believable. tremendous work. sanaya gave it her best and she was valiant in trying to shoulder the whole trp pressure on her own... she hardly got a break... but somehow the writing never picked nuances it might have to make her role more convincing... there was too much noise in it... pity.

Indi,

Genuine emotions, not melodrama tho, is something I am sold to, for pennies. Thats where a ramble driven mostly by what one feels at the outset works perfectly to convey the inner core as opposed to a scientifically structured write up. And that way your write up quite made the reader feel that surreal dream. thank you.

Yes, Sanaya worked real hard, poor girl. In a too much taken away by the trp pressures, and the need to fill 20 min every day, wondered some times if the actors never really get a chance to what exactly they are doing to fill those 20 min. I pity that she had to do all that. Writers have always been biased for asr and kept him more in tact than they did her. He made more sense in fleeting moments than her hanker panker for whole lengths of many episodes.

that Oye hero.. I grinned like an idiot. Hailing from a country and a region that are one of the world's top most movie grossers, and has many superstars, for the first time I felt the euphoria of being a fan of a hero for this tv lead. For the hopelessly romantic woman inside, he is the quintessential hero!

Rest.. you keep writing.. I keep reading...

Confession of An Atypical Love..

"Love is an irresistible desire to be desired irresistibly"

- Robert Frost

She fell into his arms one fine evening that altered the conformation of his constellations permanently. He was raged beyond belief. Briefly, she tried to get away, but he wouldn't let her...and pulled her closer as if that's the order of the universe. A not so quintessential mohabbat breathed life...burgeoned... buttressed rather strangely amidst deliberate hostility. The mohabbat in him could never diminish even after his umpteen efforts to shun it and run away.

He gave her ample reasons for nafrat .. to hate him boundless. She screamed, she squabbled, she shivered, she sobbed...yet she survived... and could never leave him.. tightly tethered by that bond of nafrat. After all love and hate, both such very intense emotions, separated only by a fine line. But either, mighty enough to keep the two bonded.

According to legends, Vamana (an avatar of Lord Vishnu) asked only for 3 feet of land from the king Mahabali (grandson of Prahlada) that the latter gladly granted. But vamana, with his supreme power grew immense and encompassed two worlds in two steps that the benevolent king had no way but to bow down for the third foot in front of this who initially seemed like a young unassuming boy. A classic analogy in Hindu scriptures when something expands unrestrained.. that one has no place to escape.

For arnav singh raizada, the fierce emotion that remained steadfast amidst the carnage of a myriad of other emotions, anger, denial, mistrust, reluctance, hatred, is, the love nestled in his heart for her. He has no qualms to bow down in front of this insurmountable feeling today. At gunpoint when his mortal existence seemed in jeopardy he submitted to his blazing inner truth... that she IS his existence.. wazood.. astitva!

And she would know that TODAY!

He has always said the most important things without much ado, without any prelude..

"Shaadi karni hogi.. mujh se" on a dark night, by the pool side he asked.. rather commanded.. her. He would have perhaps said the exact same thing on the terrace that day with a totally different timber in his voice and eyes, sending shivers down her spine, of a different kind than on the pool side, alas.. if only he were to reach onto the terrace not enduring that great implosion at its door step!

When he left her at the airport, a sudden vacuum engulfed her... aap chale gaye tho hum saansein hi nahi le payenge...I wouldn't be able to breathe if you leave...her saansein ruk jayengi moment... as her life force went away with him. Air, how this element is essential for survival... how love always found its way in the same element ...a gust of wind breezed past and the phone rang. When Akash passed on the phone to her, as she heard her arnavji on the airwaves, this time around they carried a message that profusely aerated her much stifled soul in his absence...

"Khushi"..a barrage of tears unleashed down her eyes as she heard him call her name huskily .. she is missing him bad.. real bad. she needs him here.. by her side...right now.. dearly! After a very brief hesitant mumble, a very unlike his assertive self, the words encased in his heart all these months, at last made their way to his airways...and attained a harmonic tune ..that she is longing to hear for long now..

"Khushi, I love you"!

The non-conformist Arnav Singh Raizada confesses...

"If there is no light or no tomorrow, if there is no right and wrong, if there are no dos and don't s, if there are no expectations, no responsibilities, if the world ceases to exist.. amidst this adversity, there is only one bloom hidden intact in my heart... that direly needs to reach yours.. that is my love, the truth that I love you!"

She held that phone close and dear as if that is her life line, as if she cannot let that moment lapse, as if there is nothing else she would rather want to hear. All her queries since long seemed to be answered.. "nahi understand... aap samjhayiye hume"... he did today.. in his own laconic way. Ironically, sometimes the... samjhana...explanation to the most complex things lies in simple facts.. that he loved her!

Those Gulzar lines, talked about many times, come back ringing.."pyar koi bol nahi.. pyar aawaz nahi... Noor ki boond hai sadiyon se baha karthi hai (love has no words, no voice.. it is only a droplet of light flowing since eons.) That noor ki boond...a droplet of radiance...that lone drop of tear rolled down her cheek... at the profundity of the moment!

Love, that has been knocking on their doors since long and been masquerading behind various faces by a pool side, inside a white SUV, on a dance floor, and many more .. has at last unveiled itself most ceremoniously in their lives!

What a pithy and perfect piece of confession writing Indu!👏 The edit too is striking. I coloured what touched me most but actually I loved reading every bit of it.
Loved the analogy to Vishnu avtar, Vaman. So true...when something grows unrestrained one cant escape it. Only in Mahabali's case the expansion of his love for conquest pushed him under the ground(pataal) while in our hero's case the expansion of his love set the stage for his surfacing from the dark depths he had plunged into to a world of sunshine hamesha

The Confession: Part two

Khushi, I love you!

his husky whisper, straight from his heart to her ear, closer to her than he ever has been. her chest stopped heaving, by
now she had a grip on the phone with both hands. She had been worried sick about him. nothing felt right about his
leaving. The smile that came so easily otherwise refused to grace her lips. Strong premonitions woke her to his voice
calling out for her in every possible way imaginable in a brilliant haunting scene. so sureal but at the same time so damn
real. she was beside herself, so much that Di and Nani arranged for her to join him but then her fears took shape futher
when she found out that he hadn't reached London.

The last she saw him, he left despite her begging and trying all in her power to stop him till she proved her innocence.
he left.

She could have just gottn mad and ignored these unsettling feelings she had about his well being, but she could never could she?
Once she had decided that she simply wouldnt talk to him to avoid the "acidity" and to her horror, it resulted in him fainting. Nothing mattered at this point, not her acidity nor his laad governing. Simply her Arnavji, she had a need to do whatever necessaary to make sure he is ok. Even after he came to and attempted to get up, she stoped his fall one side after the other, she stood there still with him in a worrtied state till he finally said in and ASR rood manner but still to be found beyond sexy by his sick twiste phangurls "Hato" "move!"

If he always needs to see her smiling, she also needs her Arnavji to be the ASR as we know him...shaitan or rakshas, he is hers to yell at to fight with and to take care of when need be, every bit of him. If he needed to protect her, save her, so did she.

"baat aap ki hai toh farq padta hai"..."aapke bina toh hum"

she told him before he left, an out and out declaration of what he means to her, and its the magnitude of those feelings only get clearer after he leaves. Distance make the heart grow fonder after all, throw in a slew of worry thanks to a 6th sense and you've got all sorts of gadbad and Sanaya does a brilliant job of displaying with her body language, expressions and dialogue delivery.

A moment thats recently became a person favorite is at the Mahadev temple, how she prays to Him for the protection of her Arnavji. The urgency , the anxiety so so so well emoted with in her voice and the slight jerky movents from right to left...

"unse kahiye ki woh jaldi waapis aajaye...woh... hum..."

Her unfinished sentence said it all, the dil ki baat.
Then our classic Khushi that she is goes on to plea Mahadev not to tell DM...the offchance the DM feel jealous of Mahadev that He found out her dil ki baat first. yep fell in love with this moment. hope to uncover many such moments as this Kidnapping episodes are my least watched...

hehe Pagal..most likely the trait ASR can't live without...and now its chrystal clear to Khushi that she simply can't live without her Arnavji.

So imagine carrying these realizations or rather admitting of love and then the worry that he maybe in trouble, then he is unreachable or the text he sent is not like him...Sanaya sunk her teeth into this complexity...Keeping khushi intact.
Then a phone call...Di confirms is Chhotte...can she be anything but overwhelmed? from the second she took that phone, a tight grip on it suggesting how badly she wants to be close to him, to protect him, but the helplessness also evident... the tears of joy flowed in

Kh..." is all he could get out before she grabs the phone by both of her hands, closing her eyes, her chest heaving, and her dhadkanien tez more than ever. a womanl in love. she just wants to take him in and his voice in, i bet she was dying to hear her name in his voice. She may have always felt the magic and the belonging in it.

"aap hamein iss tarah sabke saamne mat bulaiye" she told him once when he decided to go to a party to so he could say sorry to her. Perhaps at the time she was taken back by how personal it sounded.
the tears keep rolling down her face, while the phone has so blissfully become him.
"Khushi, i'm fine mien teek hoon ok?" he blurted with an attempt of conviction. She didn't have to ask, he just knew to tell her this. She cried and cried silently but through their connection, mehsoos, he just knew.
"Please mat ro" (Please don't cry) ... almost whispering he pleads to her
"Rabba ve" seeps in...the slow sad one
"Khushi Bas"..."Stop" ... have we seen anything so so sweet?
"khushi rona band karo" (khushi stop crying)
He kept begging for the tears to stop but how could she after all the emotions she's endured in the past some 24-48 hours. though the phone call at this moment was a huge relief, it was probably the "what ifs" and that set fear of losing a loved one that only set off more tears, so she keeps crying...far away from the rest of the family, she created that space just for him, her and their windy connection.
The always chatty Khushi doesn't say a word, she just mehasooses and listens on, his voice, him.
Then a sudden change in the tides, the dariya succumbs to the kinara...

"KHushi mei"
"Khushi mein tum..."

She closes her eyes, trying to mehsoos something, but certainly not anticipating these words.
"Khushi, I love you"

Her eyes flew open as the strong wind gusts surrounding them become stronger and more defined.

A silence sustains the universe, A lone tear, much different from any tear she has ever cried, fell from her right eye.

she felt the slight smile and relief inside him while leaving her speechless. leaving me speechless...

Soft piano notes come in. A joyful smile comes on her face, he hangsup ever so painfully. But he said what he needed to

The joy quickly turns to sadness and dismay. but the phone, she looks at it as if were him, his face, his mouth that just said those words.

She put the phone to her chest, a sacred place where only a wife or a lover allows the man she loves.

How intimate...who needs pheras khushi? He had already become hers, contract marriage or not. she holds the phone even tighter at her chest and allowed the smile once again to grace her face. She slowly walks away to be alone.

Just a lovely scene in the corridors where she thinks back to all of his halted "Farq" YES YES YES KHUSHI... all of those times, he stopped short the farq was there...infact it was too much for him to handle.

Her "Hum bhi aapse I love you dammit comes much later but I so heart it in this moment.

Magnificiently done IPK!

DROOL CORNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first thing that always strikes me when I read your analyses S, is how intricately you watch the scenes. Nothing escapes you, not a gesture, not a blink , not a baritone! Hugs for this S! And for the personal feel you put into an ipk moment that makes it so trademark yours! Loved your reference to earlier episodes... how they were always there to protect each other. their first meeting started that way didn't it? If he had let her fall down from the stage she would have hurt herself really badly. But he braced her fall in a fadaq padta hai moment and like you said there were such many more thereafter... Only the answer to kyon fadaq padta hai he gave today. I loved how you penned down and edited Kh Khushi's reaction to it. Yes Sanaya was brilliant here!
Btw did you also do ramanchi watching kidnapping episodes? So did I ! I had watched those parts with one eye closed because never could see barun in pain.
I really drooled on DC. Something about his non gelled, dishevelled hair does me in...tumhe pata hai na, S! Muaah! Keep rolling!🤗 Oh an extra muaah for referring to that super sexy classic 'Hato'!

Episode 265

"Shame to shame" said mamiji. Really what a shame that all this following of clues failed to generate suspense. A few days back while mamiji and Khushi had watched the security footage and mamiji's hand had involuntarily risen to console her dear Arnav bitwa's wife I had wanted more from the scene. But today when the gruff old mamiji suggested Khushi stay back in her maternity home I felt a stirring in my heart. This lady did know the usually bright chirpy girl was going crazy with worry. And why would she not know, since it was apparent to all that Khushi loved her Arnavji to distraction and was inconsolable without him. Furthermore mamiji was in on the inside story. Arnav bitwa was kidnapped. That she conveniently forgot all this when Khushi and Arnav returned and were blaming Shyam I cannot fathom why.

And so the episode moved on. Khushi stood with her back facing Rocky. Rocky was delightfully unruly goon like with the paan shop owner. Khushi turned and her eyes registered the scorpion tattoo. She followed him at a distance I personally thought was foolishly and dangerously too close. Even then I was pretty sure nothing important would happen. After all nothing major had happened yet, so it did not seem probable that our heroine would find her hero. Right then in edged Rocky from behind with a menacing look metal rod. Bamm! And a blood curdling cry.

Completely random screen space for Payal.

Fade out and Khushi wakes up. Her head hurting. The light bulb, the warehouse all uncannily similar to where ASR is held hostage, but I remembering thinking this is just a red herring. She is in a completely different place. Don't get your hopes high. They cannot meet yet. Then comes that ventilator. On the other side is ASR sitting. Am still worried though. What if they don't get to know how close they really are? His head lolling to the side, exhausted stance, eyes unfocused. He is somehow holding on. Suddenly a familiar gust of soothing wind and he sits up straight. She stills on the other side of the wall too. Rabba ve happily chimes in.. Both drawn to what lies beyond the wall. They have felt each other's presence. Utterly improbable, but their heart knows that the one it beats for is somewhere close. It does not seem unbelievable. It does not seem corny. All it shows is how magically compelling it is to watch their love story. And I shake my head and think, could it have been any other way.. They cannot be kept apart for long. Love was always destines to find its own way. If I could compose music, pen down poetry, paint a picture or even borrow verse from Shakespeare I would still not be able to fully capture how ethereal the scene felt.

Tenderly with so much love Arnav's shaky hand reaches out to touch the wall. He can't comprehend what it is that is calling out to him. Khushi's hand is right there across the barrier ready to reach out to him. A beautiful riveting long drawn out breathless expectant moment of mehsoos. Memories.. The first time his senses were thrown in disarray seeing her in red.. His color on her.. They lay entwined in a swirl of colors.. He had fallen and taken her with him.. Fallen.. In love? Holding her dainty foot and putting on her ma's Payal.. An intimate man woman moment.. Whom do you give such a right to? He had wanted to take care of her. She had run upto him and flung herself into his arms.

He stands up now. The feeling that she was somewhere near could no longer be ignored. How badly he had wanted to capture her inviting lips in his and maybe even do a lot more? How badly she wanted to experience what this man could make her feel? Both restless. Almost a sense of dance, where the dancers are trying to seek out each other, as on the opposite sides of that wall these two took complimenting steps exactly in sync. Not even sure what it is that they ache to find. The music picks tempo to match their movement.. enhances the escalating mood.. She closes her eyes and whispered "Arnavji".. A prayer that carried to him.. Drum beats, was it, that kicked in? His gut feeling was correct. She is right here.. "Khushi?" ..

Our clever ASR finally comprehends. She is across the wall. His fist hit the wall in impatience. He has to get to her. As always brilliant body language of Barun. And while ASR shows urgency Khushi shows another wonderful emotion.. Relief.. She lets go.. Ipk understood emotions perfectly. She has kept her worry in check because there was a much more vital task to take care of. Find Arnavji. Now that she has found him she allows herself to break down in relief. Sinks to the floor. And Khushi sobs sweetly flinging herself against the wall.

Resourceful as always he has figured out they can talk through the thankfully well placed ventilator. What is in his voice.. "Khushi.." breathlessness.. Worry.. Relief.. Love.. The high pitched rabba ve as she finally climbs up and they see each other was one of the two things that felt out of place to me. The second being the apparent set of wrong hands on either side.

Their fingers are entwined through the grill. His face has immeasurable peace in its expression. He is so happy to see her. I detect a dash of pride as well at his jhalli girl's ingenuity. He is grateful he gets to see her. And paramount he is delighted to see her display of love towards him. Because isn't this whole scene simply about that wondrous feeling called love?

She is smiling too. The imminent danger forgotten as they revel in the miracle. "Aakhir humne aapko dhoondh hi liya.." .. Words that tell him how much she has been through.. He nods.. "Dhoondh liya tumne".. Barun's rendition of Arnav has brought tears to my eyes time and again. All that his expressions convey if I sit to write this take might not ever end.. What has she really found? Colors in the dull life of the haunted shadows of ASR? Laughter in a broken boy who had forgotten to smile? Faith in the deep crevices of the sardonic man's tender heart? Love, when he thought he was incapable of experiencing this gift? Or breath in a man who had forgotten how alive he could feel? She clutches onto his hands brings her face closer. On holi she had displayed this same love and he had been touched beyond belief then too, but now after he has admitted his love for her when he had not expected her to be in front of him here she stood clearly very much in love with him too. He savours the feeling..

She loses control and behaves like a girl wanting reassurance.. He gladly takes over the mantle of the in control male.. "Khushi.. Shhh.. I am okay".. And now that I have seen you my darling and can feel all your love and care, how in the world can I be anything but okay?.. Are what his laconic words feel like to me.. He wants to break the grill to come to the other side. . She catches hold of his fingers even more desperately.. He had let go those very fingers at the airport, but today she can no longer bear even the slightest distance. His face shows the delight he feels. How do you tell a person you love him without uttering the words? You hold on to his fingers more firmly than ever and let your eyes and streaming tears do all the talking.. He understands. He is calm and indulgent.. Talks to her like you would to a child.. She brings out the same feeling of care and protectiveness in him.. Of course she also brings out other extremely grown up related feelings in him too, as we will soon get to witness and swoon over..

"Hum ye sab discuss ker lenge baad main.. phele mujhe ye grill torni hogi" .. He wants to break the grill.. she tries to help.. And why is it that even this slightly male dominant air that Arnav has of doing it himself and sending Khushi down, lest she hurt herself, feel this attractive? Quite independent minded I am, still completely smitten by this chivalrous protective Arnav. When her eyes couldn't see him there is an beguiling moment of innocent panic.. "Arnavji?" .. He seems to be bewitched by his wife showing all her love. Looking at the number of times I seem to mention this I guess this is what enchants me most today. His happiness at her openly unguarded display of love. The makers of the show almost consistently and unfailingly accurately understood this emotion and the actors portrayed it to perfection.

Into the frame creeps Rocky's arm to make this lovers meeting even more captivating. He is serving her good food, did you notice? He lets slip in a thick accented voice, he had hit her. Poor guy has just signed his near death sentence. ASR doesn't take kindly to people laying a finger on his wife. "Usne maara tumhe?" The rage and helplessness portrayed as ASR tightens his grip on the grill, his entire body convulsing forward. She doesn't care. All she can think of is it led her here.. to him.. He can't let it go this easily.. "usne tumhe maa..".. The lips purse.. he can't even bear to utter those words out loud.. How dare someone hit his Khushi.. "tumhe kuch ho jata toh?" .. How many times has he shouted these words before.. All the while his body seems to thrash out with the pent up anger, frustration.. And she smiles almost at peace through her tears.. "What's so funny? Muskura kyu rahi ho?" .. Here he is completely freaking out in anxiety and this jhalli girl smiles.. What the.. This intermingling of English words and Hindi in ASR's dialogue add so much to the character for me.. He is worried and less in control.. So naturally more English comes out in his thoughts.. Stylish classy this man thinks in English. You just know it.. I have seen a lot of actors try to mimic this English speaking modern air and not get it right while Barun with his slightly ajeeb accent fits in perfectly into character. He moulds it in such a way that it is impossible for me to now see a havard returned progressive intelligent character on screen without comparing him to Arnav Singh Raizada.

"Itne din jo ho gaye aapki daat sune".. She has missed his anger, that is also an essential definitive part of who he is. She has missed him so much. Khushi can't controlled the laughter any longer, while words desert him. Perhaps there is nothing left to say at this moment. His fingers again find hers. Who cares if the world is coming to end.. Who cares if their lives are in danger.. Who cares of anything.. The present is now.. And in this now they have just lived an eternity. They have each other. Safe in their sight. And sure it would have been even better if he could engulf her in his longing arms. Certainly it would have made her feel safer if she could feel his protective arms around her, but the touch of fingers and sight of the face they and with them we have been starving to get a glimpse of is enough to not want anything else.

A slight calming down as they get to gratefully drink in each other's presence. The frayed rope is put to use and the piano notes woo us further. He decides to ask the most important question.. "Khushi tumhe pata tha main koi musibat mein hun.. Kaise?".. In flashes those words.."Khushi I love you".. Her quiet eyes find his.. And though I do think Sanaya might have given an even better take throughout the 20 odd minutes if Barun was actually in front of her, the episode was nevertheless close to perfect.

Aarwen,
Superb write up! It's not just a synopsis of the episode, it reflects all the intense relief and romance we all felt watching this episode. After so many episodes, so many months, since the start of this show, these two finally united as a couple today. You can see that exhilaration, that sense of arrival - of having finally reached each other. This was a huge turning point in their love story - from now onwards, there were obstacles they still needed to cross, situations they still had to go through, but there was no longer any doubt as to their undying love for each other.

Loved these lines from your write up -

""Dhoondh liya tumne".. "

Beautifully expressed, Aarwen! 👏

While the man reinvented himself and forged a new identity and a life for himself, the boy got lost somewhere and the soul was entombed behind a stony wall of defiance. It took her to touch his heart, reach him and lead him out into the sunshine - just as she reached him today into that tomb like warehouse at the expense of hurting herself. When they grabbed each other's hands and ran out of that place, it was like seeing two love birds finally set free from their cage.
