Part 4
Soon they were off to the temple and then to the marriage hall. The poojas went on well and the wedding ceremonies started. Mihika looked resplendent even in her nine yards saree. Mihir couldn't take his eyes off her.
With every ceremony and ritual, Ishita was reliving her memories. She went back to the day she got married to Raman when things were extremely opposite than what it was today. Their marriage was nothing short of a deal where he married her for the custody of Ruhi and she married just because she wanted to become Ruhi's mother.
But today, things were very different and their relationship had grown into something more cordial and friendly initially and now into much more special. The kiss had surely sealed that special relationship though it hadn't been expressed out verbally.
Now in her mind, she was once again going through all the marriage rituals and this time will all her heart and love for him. The deal was long forgotten and now the purity, serenity and the sanctity of marriage was what she had in mind. These days, every morning she filled her hair parting with sindoor not just as a routine thing but with all the feelings of a wife for her husband. Her dreamy state was well evident as she stood transfixed gazing alternatively at Raman and the mandap. Raman wasn't totally oblivious to her dreamy glances though she averted her eyes away from him the moment he turned to her direction or when their glances met.
Ruhi and Shravan were having a rocking time running around and playing with the other kids. Romi was the one running behind the kids and responsible for them as all the others were busy with the wedding. In between, Romi got carried away by some Chennai beauty and got distracted from the kids. Kids slipped into the store room where the sweets were kept. Ruhi and Shravan were nothing less than little devils when it came to mischief. All the laddus kept for serving the guests and also for the return gift packet were in a big drum like container. It was Shravan who spotted the laddus and they decided to have some fun at the cost of those tasty laddus. So both of them together started crushing the laddus to become boondi powder again! With both their hands playing well, they managed to crush most of it before Ishita rushed in searching for them. She was hell shocked at what the kids had managed to do. She scolded them and also Romi for the mess as she washed their hands clean and told them to go back to Vandu. She looked at the state of the powdered laddus and decided that she had to pitch in to do the damage control.
She knew it would be a lot of work but she had to do take on the responsibility of the prank done by the kids. She didn't think further before she took a seat on the floor and started redoing the laddus. There was no fan or AC there in the store room and so she was sweating profusely. She tried to wipe it away with the back of her palm in between but it wasn't doing much help. Awhiff of cool hair made her look up. She was really surprised to see Raman standing there trying to place a pedestal fan. She was really pleased with his timely help. She was about to thank him when he surprised her further by sitting beside her and his hands went into the drum.
"Arre Raman...aap rehne dho...main karlungi na?"
She caught Raman's hand in an impulse to stop him while he chuckled and remarked, "kyun? Agar main karunga toh laddu kebathle halwa banega kya?"
She rolled her eyes and replied, "nahi nahi phir bhi CEO of the year aur laddu?? Log kya sochenge, haan?"
Raman smiled at her concern for his image and replied, "agar CEO ke biwi laddu bana sakthi toh..."
She snapped him with a grin, "aap karlo..." and freed his hand but his hands went straight to her face and tucked a loose strand which was disturbing her to the back of her ears. It was a true mohabatein moment when she looked straight into his eyes which only reflected back the love they both shared. but of course unsaid love!
He broke the eye lock and the moment by his playful naughty comment, "On second thoughts, tum laddu banaa lo aur main aisa kuch help kartha rehta hoom"
He took off his hand from the laddus and went on to wipe her sweat with his hand kerchief. She blushed as his fingers intentionally brushed past her skin and knew that he was up to some prank.
But she just continued with her work quickly while he was doing something or the other trying to distract her. She dared not look at him as she knew that she would get carried away by his charms and blazing glances. She was fully engrossed in her work and then it struck her that he wasn't doing any mischievous actions and his hands were off her. That break for his actions made her look up and that's when she realized that he was intently grazing her face with his scorching looks. His look really blazed her with the heat of passion and she couldn't also look away. His eyes scrolled down to her luscious lips which looked so inviting while she pouted in frustration when a laddu didn't round up properly and when the ghee messed around her fingers. Her expressions and gestures only lured him more to her. Controlling his urges was getting difficult with each passing moment.
She hadn't noticed but he had been staring at her for a long time now.
She mocked a fake resistance to his gaze and enquired, "Kya? aise kya dekh rahe ho?"
It was her usual question when he stood awestruck at her beauty but he used to always rubbish the undenied attraction and desire with some playful taunt and make it sound like some joke which even he couldn't understand. He would always wonder what he regretted more, his being dumbstruck like that or the mocking comments he passed about her plumpy looks trying to convince himself and her that he was least interested in her. What a liar! He would smack himself after such comments.
Now when she also looked at him, he couldn't reign his urge to touch her further. His fingers didn't wait before they landed over her temple. It gently roamed down her crimson apple cheeks and stopped just above her cherry like lips.
But even today, it was no different when he replied mockingly to break the moment of passion, "Jhansi ki rani, tum ek mauka nahi chodthi tussne keliye na? kaam ke beech mein laddu, huh?"
She rolled her eyes wondering what brought that up suddenly and he pointed at the boondi stuck above her lip. She tried to wipe it instantly saying that it is there by mistake but he stops her, "yeh mera kaam hai...remember I am here to help you..."
Without much delay and not giving her time to retaliate, he just bent down and gobbled in the piece into his mouth and in the process brushing his lips over her smooth skin, shocking her to the maximum. The laddu in her hand goes down crumbling again and her hands try to circle his body when his lips travel further down to her lips but a sudden opening of the door sets them apart.
Its Romi who had come searching for them as the muhurtham time was nearing and all were searching for Raman and Ishita.
"Raman bhai, aap yahaan ho...aur bhabhi bhi??...sab log aap dono ko doond rahe hai"
They both stand up and Ishita rubs her hands vigorously trying to wither off the laddu powder. Romi looks at both of them head to toe and sees laddu powder in her hands and also on Raman's shirt and hair.
Romi grins, "kya aap dono bacchon ke tarah..."
Raman snaps him short, "pitwaana nahi na tujhe...toh chal jaa yahaan se...hum aa rahe hai..."
Romi looks at Ishita in an amused way but one more glaring look from Raman and he is gone. Ishita voices to save the embarrassing situation, "yeh sab almost hogaya...Lets go Raman!"
Raman nods with a cheeky grin, "But mera kaam adhoora reh gaya...koyi baat nahi...maukha toh aathe rehenge..."
She sprints away blushing at his naughty comment.
They go out to the wedding mandap and soon the wedding is over without any hiccups. Bhalla family and Iyer family have a great time as the various Tamil and Punjabi rituals commences.
So the wedding was over and the entire family rejoiced! It was indeed a happy moment for all of them!
A grand lunch follows and the rest of the day passes by with guests wishing them both. In the evening there is a small get together, something like a reception party is organized at home. The lawn area is set up for the same. There is music and all sorts of fun. After the laddu instance, Raman didn't get a chance to even talk to Ishita partially because of her hectic work and also he felt that she is avoiding him perhaps due to the awkwardness of facing him. But that didn't stop him from scanning around for a glimpse of her.
She wasn't giving him a chance at all and then he decided to play along posing being very busy without even a moment to spare a look at her. Her annoyance at his indifference literally showed when she started searching for reasons to walk around showing off her peacock blue designer saree. Her gorgeous hair do and simple subtle make up added to her feminine beauty. The saree clutched her at right places accentuating her curvy figure perfectly. He had a tough time ignoring her and that's when he got a call. He walked out of the lawn to receive the same. It was some official call but he was forced to disconnect the call when her voice breezed across the garden and reached his ears...It obviously was for him though he didn't understand anything.

Why do you play hide and seek kannaa?
Why do you play hide and seek kannaa? I am like a glass object
I asked the river bank, I stopped the wind and asked
I enquired even the skies but no replies
Then I saw you and found you right in my heart
Why do you play hide and seek kannaa?
Is my heart a toy for you?

He was indeed mesmerized again as she sang and danced along with her naughty cousins. Even Mihika forgot all about her being the bride and joined the group.
Later in the night, the guests and most of the relatives leave. Mihir and MIhika's first night suite was booked in a big grand hotel.
Madhav, Raman and Ishita go to drop them at the hotel at Mihir and Mihika's insistence. Ishita doesn't leave any stone unturned to tease her sister and Mihir. Raman keeps admiring playful Ishita all along through the mirror though his mind was fretting, "kya museebat hai yaar?" because he wasn't so pleased with the idea of such an outing at this time but he had no choice or reason to state.
They reach the hotel and settle down at the lounge while the room key is yet to be got. Mihika gets up as the key come and voice, "akka, humaare saath room tak nahi aavoge?"
Ishita rolled her eyes and wondered if MIhika was so nervous that she was saying this. She replied, "relax Mihika...Mihir hai...why are you so tensed, huh?"
Mihika pleaded with her eyes to accompany them till the room. Raman threw up his hand in annoyance, "haddh hai yaar" as the only thing that topped his mind was to go back home and some lone time with Ishita but now unwillingly, he accompanied Mihir and it couldn't get more awkward.
Ishita pleaded to him with her eyes to stay cool and do this for MIhika and Mihir's sake. She didn't want to hurt the newly wed couple at these moments.
Madhav stopped at a room and opened it while Mihika and Ishita continued walking down the corridor to another room. Raman found it suspicious as Mihir and Madhav passed mischievous looks at each other. At the other room, Ishita was in a similar fix when Mihika left her all alone there and went out saying that she will be back soon. Mihika walked back to where Raman was.
She gently tugged his arm playfully and dragged him along, she voiced, "chaliye jeeju..."
Raman looked at her reluctantly meaning "what the hell!" when she added "arre chaliye na ...aap ki jhansi ke rani ke paas hi le jaa rahi hoom"
That made him follow her and he saw Mihir showing a thumbs up. Mihika teased, "main aur Mihir yahaan hai toh aap dono bhi company deh dho jeeju..."
Even this situation didn't stop Raman from taunting, "haan haan chalo saat beitkar football dekhte hai!"
Mihika shook her head amused and chuckled at that but she didn't stop till the room where Ishita was. Opening the door a bit, she gestured him to step in. He raised his eyebrows and voiced suspiciously "yeh koyi nahi sharaarat toh nahi??? tumaari akka kahaan hai?"
Mihika smiled and replied in a serious tone "nahi jeeju...ab aur koyi sharaarat nahi...mujhe patha hai ke aap dono ko ye lamhe ka kitna intezaar hai...so no more pranks...woh saare pranks jo humne kal se kiye teh sab kuch iss gift keliye tha..." She showed the way into the room and added, "So this gift of love is from all of us..."
Raman couldn't believe what he heard and he was a bit puzzled too at the sudden twist of events that night. She went on to say "jaahiye...akka is all yours now.."
He grinned at what she said as if thanking her for the gift and walked into the beautifully decorated room.
Mihika closed the door and yes, she didn't forget to put the"DO NOT DISTURB" tag on the door knob.
