DJ Aqeel, who had been detained at the Dubai Airport last week for alleged possession of 0.4 grams of Ecstasy - a banned drug in his bag, was released on bail on Wednesday after the authorities failed to prove that he had actually consumed the drug through tests conducted on him.

Speaking to news channels, Aqeel's lawyer, Ashish Mehta said, "The court granted him bail as no trace of drug was found in his blood and urine samples."
The DJ had gone to Dubai for performing at a discotheque. Aqeel, once a regular at Enigma nightclub at the JW Marriott hotel in suburban Mumbai's Juhu, shot to fame with his music remixes, his latest hit being from the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don.
Aqeel is married to Farah Ali Khan, daughter of actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, who is also father-in-law of Hrithik Roshan.
None of his family members were available for comments.
