I would say mansi is a grey character, more towards the white. she may not be a scheming bitch. i honestly don't want another aditi. she may be genuinely in love with varad. but she is selfish to put her convenience above others needs. it is convenient for her to not marry varad and enjoy the freedom but still get all the love and attention from him. sojal's life is not that simple and hence her irritation.
mansi is expects to spend time with varad just like sojal and kavya! how is she better than sojal?! sojal is truthful at least. she speaks her mind without thinking and doesn't fake to be nice. i think mansi is scared of losing varad. thats why she irritates him more about sojal, by forcing him to be nice with her. Its her way of telling him that she is better than sojal. if mansi thinks her relationship with varad is right, she should tell that to sojal and kavya. if she is hiding it from them, she cannot be right. she is doing great injustice to sojal and kavya.
