Her thoughts were disturbed by a phone call,it was her granny Shardha; a cardiologist by profession,very down to earth woman living in her generation and never neglected her profession and personal life to raise her children.She made a weird face of what going to happen next.
'' Yes granny , what's up,'' she said
''Honey, where are you, I 've been looking for you everywhere in the house... I don't know what am I going to do with you,'' Shardha said out of her breath.
''Relax.. granny.. I 'm in the park ... you know where and please don't worry about me... I am a big girl now and I can take care of myself ,'' she said annoyingly.
''I know you can but you're still a child for me anyways I wanted tell you that is a phone call from your office... they couldn't reach you so they called in land phone,'' she sighed
'' Don't worry granny I'll back in a minute'', She cut the phone and drove home.
As soon she came back, there was chaos her sister Riya and brother Jai were chasing each other.
Meet Riya Vardhan, the only sister of Anu and the most easily annoyed. She's sweet, bold, outgoing and knows martial arts that too taught by Anu. She's a doctor in profession a child in heart. She's 24 years of age.
'' Jai ..give that diary back to me or else I'll call Anu di... give it back.
Riya was running after him for the past 2 hours, it was when she came back from washroom her dairy was missing and she got the right suspicious that her brother took her diary and she is definitely going to kill him today.
Here's another monsteriuos member from all. Meet Jai Vardhan, he's 19 years old and the most cute, cool and a star in his college. A total flirt but loves his sister to core. He's currently studying his 2nd year of hotel manegement.
'' No, I won't and by the way what so special about this dairy that you are hiding from us... duhhh ...I am not going to give it to you'' shouted Jai pulling his tongue while running.
'' What's going on here and look this mess.How many times do I have to tell you not to throw things over there or over here'' said Anu while the house echoed by her voice.
The two stopped as they are aware of their elder sister's anger.
'' Look what Jai's doing and he's not returning my dairy back'', shouted Riya.
'' what is this Jai, you not a small kid anymore.why are you bothering your sister like this... give her the dairy... now...'' Anu said with her big eyes.
Jai has no other choice than to give her diary back.
'' Here's your stupid diary, and by the way I don't need it anymore as I know the whole story.. hahahaha''. Jai storm off before Riya could catch him.
'' Look what he just said... I'm telling you he's 19 years old but yet behaves like 5 year old child...I'm gonna kill him for this'' said Riya annoyingly.
'' Riya leave it and no matter how old he is... he'll still be my baby brother...and by the way aren't you going to clinic today... go and get ready'' said Anu with blast.
Riya didn't waste any minute and went to her room. Anu couldn't believe that despite her sister is a doctor who still acts like a kid herself and that too with Jai. What would have happened if she wasn't around probably they would have end up killing each others neck.
Next she went to her room to change herself from jogging suit into white shirt with black blazer and black skinny pants while her hair was tied back adding a black specs to look more mature. She took her bag and as her siblings were waiting in the hall. She sat in the passenger sit and started driving. Her office wasn't far away from her home, so after dropping her siblings in their respected place.The office as same usual , nothing new except for one person which makes this office more crowded,who can be more than Parineeta Sharma; Anu's secretary, very lovable, bubbly and a flirty person and still single yet doesn't stop dreaming herself for her prince charming.
Parineeta as usual pulling her lungs to spread out her singing skills to impress her men colleague; poor them, her voice sounded so croaking that nearly one of them fainted.
''You are my sunshine my only sunshine.. you make me happy when skies are greyyy.
You neverrr no dear , how much I love youuu... so don't my sunshine awayyy,'' Pari sang to so loudly even the city could hear her ... her pitch voice is making everyone dizzy.
Anu at the other side was very furious, when her employees are not in their places.
'' What's all this Miss Parineeta Sharma,'' her voice roared all over the room. All the employees just escaped while Pari was left behind. Poor her, she got scared of this lioness.
'' Mam ,,, iii was jussst...,'' said Pari shivery before she could complete ,Anu interfered.
'' Pari, bring the project files in my office and yes, a black coffee without sugar...,''
''yesss...mam.,'' Pari was constantly cursing herself to sing in the room and she was also glad that she didn't fired her. Anu's mind stucked on the time where she was a college student singing the same song in front of students,known to be the best singer among all the students. Even though singing was her hobby but whenever she's tensed or need a peace of mind she would grab her mother's diary and sing along.The music was over by now so everyone including students and teachers clapped for her outstanding performance.There was one person who was very proud to see her singing in the stage, eventually he couldn't stop smiling for what she did and without anybody seeing him ,he blow her a flying kiss . On the right side of her desk there was a picture of a tall,dark brown hair with chocolatey eyes and a smile which reflected with his persona ,she picked the frame up , caressing it gently and a gave it a kiss saying' I miss you sweetheart and I wish you were here with me'.
The day was hectic for Anu, completing the projects , recheck all the design so there would no mistakes for tomorrow's conference for the clients and then her constant distraction from her crazy employees, as the night falls everyone retired from office. She reached home just five minutes late and saw her granny sleeping on the sofa putting her elbow on her head for support; just a little stroke, Shardha woke up.
''Oh my dear, when did you come'',said Shardha sleepily.
'' I came just now, Did Jai and Riya eat'', said Anu worriedly.
'' Yes they did, they wanted to wait for your arrival but I told that you will come late so I sent them earlier.But why don't you freshen yourself up and I'll serve dinner,'' Said Shardha.
''What! you didn't eat, grams how many times do I have to tell you ,not to play your health.You could have eaten with them,'' said Anu annoyingly.
'' Don't worry ,nothing will happen to me and besides did I ever eat without you,'' she said with a weird face
'' I know grams , you will never change ... ok lets go and eat,'' Anu said with a smile in her face.
After completing her dinner, she pull herself to bed and listened to her favourite song'Aamar Sarata Din Meghla Aakash'' its a Bengali song and very close to her heart since her mother used to sing for her after bed time.Each and every word of the song has its own meaning, her mother used to tell her that whenever she's sad she would listen to this particular song just to calm her down. No wonder she knows the language fluently and all thanks to her mom. She was only 12 years old when she found out that Mamta was diagnosis with leukemia and that too at a last stage. The doctors couldn't do anything but to spend her last moments with her family and right at the same night , Rajat was at the balcony crying bitterly and blaming himself not to be able to save his love. True they fell in love right in their college days, it was love at first sight unlikely Anu who never believed in love since she find it stupid and waste of time
After an hour or two,she dose off waiting for the next morning to shine.
