Episode 7: The details of the contestants selected from Jaipur

TOSHI
Place: Jaipur (currently in Mumbai)
Tidbit: Toshi comes from a family of classical singers and wants to carry the musical tradition forward. He is passionate about music and calls it his junoon. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is his inspiration and he wants a part of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to be seen in his singing.

SUMITRA IYER
Place: Pune
Tidbit: She is from a conventional South Indian family that believes in secure life where one is in a plush job. Today, she is an IT professional but deep down, she has always dreamt of being a singer. She has faced some resistance from her family and this is her first and last chance to prove her mettle.

MIRANDE SHAH
Place: Ahemdabad
Tidbit: She had been to Spain to attend a cultural fest. When she sang a bandish, the crowd was so amazed that they said 'encore!'. She sang the same song thrice! Her mother is her biggest motivation who took her to musical shows right from her childhood. Mirande is also National Champion (Swimming).

RYAN DIAS
Place: Dubai
Tidbit: Originally from Hyderabad but brought up in Dubai. He has grown up listening to Jazz and Blues. Ryan is the only one with an inclination to Hindi Music in his family. His recurring dream is that he's on stage performing in front of a large audience. According to him, music is the only outlet for his creativity.

Episode 8: The details of the contestants selected from Jaipur

IRFAN
Place: Mumbai
Tidbit: His parents wanted him to be an engineer. Irfan fulfilled their their dream. Now, its his time to chase his aspirations. He wants to be a singer. He moved to Mumbai, took up a job to support himself. He has been given a year to prove himself in this field. His mother is his sole support in this endeavour.

ABHILASHA VENKATACHELLAM
Place: Pune
Tidbit: Ashpreet claims that the first words she spoke were the seven notes of sargam. Music is in her genes: her father is a lyricist and mother is also deeply interested in music. She is a huge fan of Madan Mohan's music as she feels that his compositions have a lot of depth. She has won many competetions in college.

ARINDAM
Place: Kolkata
Tidbit: Arindam's inspiration was the fakir who used to sit outside a hotel in Kolkata and sing. His song plucked Arindam's heartsings. Apart from the songs of Kishore Kumar, Arindam is also a huge Aerosmith fan. He has the backing of all his friends who say that Arindam will be the ASVOI.

I think they have goofed up for abilasha.The matter is abt ashpreet and photo is of abilasha.
