I speak marathi.And many people find Bengali and Marathi language similar.I love Bengali so much, I kept my son's name In Bengali.I kept it consulting two to three bengali people.

His name is Animesh.It means in Bengali as alert thats what I was told.More than the meaning I loved the name and was fascinated by keeping a Bengali name.

I used to live in Pune ,India.Its a very cosmopolitan city like Mumbai.We are thrown open to so many Cultures that we start loving some of them.

Animesh generally means Bright or Open eyed therefore attractive, though it is bengali name but its of Indian origin, and common among Hindu in my country, Bangladesh. I would love to visit there too and thrilled to see your interest for other religion, cultures, languages.
