Sridevi was a child star, knew nothing else so she acted for the sake of and because she was very good, Kajol is a third generation star kid.

Asin was an outsider, not clear how she entered films but I don't think she was in it for acting. She was in it for money. I say so because of the choices of films she made but mostly for the portfolio of properties she has assembled down South. Asin I don't think ever liked Mumbai or BW, she loved and loves Kerala and that is where most of her life and properties are. She was in films for a while and I don't think she really cared to be on top or crossover in BW like a Sridevi.

It seemed like a good plan, and the first part was working - but she ended up stretching it out too long - and by the time she was ready to crossover, it was too late, the other girls took over.

Personally I never thought she would stick in BW. She just seemed uncomfortable to me. She is an award winning and top actress in Telugu and Tamil, I am not sure of her Malayalam movies as I don't see many.

Ready was a hit, but she did not stand out, Housefull 2 the movie was a hit but with a boatload of people, she was again lost. Gajini was Aamir. What else did she have ? Her Tamil and Telugu filmography are totally different to me. Plus the whole she will not kiss on the lips thing, except I remember at least one Telugu movie where she kissed and gets kissed by the hero umm..all over shall we say 🤔. So unless she used a body double, ths whole will not kiss on the lips thing...😕

Her heart is in Kerala, that I can say with a fair bit of certainty . She owns many properties there, loves it there and has repeatedly said so. BW was just a means to make money for her, she never did have the drive or heart that a Sridevi did for BW IMO.
