W*F happened to her

She had a colossal arrival in Bollywood at the end of 2008 with the all-time blockbuster Ghajini, starring the biggest stars of our time Aamir Khan.

She got roles opposite biggies such as Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Nominations for Best Actress flooded in along with wins for Best Newcomer.

The media went crazy about her - hailing her as the next Queen of Bollywood.

Then all of a sudden she disappeared, after a few questionable film choices.

I personally felt and still feel she has what it takes to be a Bollywood Queen. She's got bags of talent, the looks of a princess, and a very likeable appeal = she's the perfect successor to the likes of Madhuri, Sridevi, Kajol, Karisma etc...

She made some really daft films (Housefull, Ready) and although they were hits, what did they do for her career? Similar to how Sonakshi, but she turned it around somewhat with a meaningful Lootera.

Her last film came in 2012. In the meantime, the girls she started off with, and was far ahead of: Anushka, Deepika, Kangana, Sonakshi and even Sonam seem to have overtaken and made her almost irrelevant 😲

Her next release is with Abhishek Bachchan of all people 😭

The window of opportunity for outsiders to succeed in Bollywood is extremely small. Asin is history since she failed to get even a modest fanbase, support from bigwigs in Bollywood and a noticeable filmography. There are Ileana, Tamanaa and others from South who are trying their luck now. No one cares about Asin anymore.

I don't believe nobody cares about her. Honestly. All it will take is one good film and she will be right back in the running.

Look at KANGANA RANAUT - a National award winner, she was plodding along without much fanfare until QUEEN put her on the map big time.

SHRADDHA KAPOOR was pretty much a nobody from 2010-2012 until one film AASHIQUI 2 made her relevant, and she (undeservedly) got Best Actress nominations.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE was going nowhere fast in 2010 when although she had 5 interesting films that year, they didn't seem to do much for her, followed by 2 small roles in 2011. All she needed was a single COCKTAIL in 2012 - and look at the effect after that: 4 massive hits and a No.1 spot on the throne.
