ETA: Now I feel that interrelationships are again used around Zain and Aliya. And this becomes interesting ...in the sense that the couple wont get separated and yet interactions of other relationships will keep affecting them. Nice weave. Keep it up writers.
Finally the episode was all about marriage, spouses, would be's, Expectation and Love.
Very interesting to watch. Two marriages and One Pair on its way perhaps. The dominant emotion was Hurt and Surprise. Hurt at betrayal, neglect and Surprised beyond rationale.
Agreeably all three men were emotional, guilty or trying to be fair to their emotional state per the situation.
Agreeably all their women were affected by their men's actions and looking for some kind of comfort, advice, argument, a venting perhaps to reconcile and get back to normal.
And perhaps, a scar like consequence is what makes it difficult to go back to what it was and forces a way forward action and reaction.
Couple 1: The pits into which this marriage landed into. That belongs to Fahad and Nafeesa's.
Clearly Fahad could see Nafeesa's hurt at his neglect, by the roadside and especially by her bedside watching her anger. And Nafeesa had it all...her tolerance crossed the threshold. I wonder why Nafeesa still continues to keep this marriage! Fahad has clearly been irresponsible. Wedding another wife with first wife's consent is agreeable ...but...the circumstances under which Fahad might have got married to Shazia is gulping down one's pride and trying to live with that situation...but it definitely has its limits.
In this case, I really wonder how Usmaan and Zain have forgiven Fahad about the whole matter. That again highlights why Zain says to Aliya..."nothing is black and white". By keeping things like this, he is still able to forgive people and love them, full of affection and respect to relationships no matter how ridiculous and unjust things look. Why do we have to judge how Zain is unable to support Aliya. If we think correctly, we can say, how did Usmaan, Suraiyya, Zain and all how did they let all this happen to Nafeesa. And yet, how they are able to live cordially. How can Zain keep seeing both of his Bhabhis as Ms Universe and Ms World. Ofcourse he has sense of justice in the degree of importance he gives to his Bhabhis, but it speaks of his tolerance levels as well.
Yes, Zain definitely has got an imperfect family. Nothing exemplary about this family...and that is the reason, Bhopal seems a fresh whiff of pristine air to breathe in.
And really, wonder, how Aliya is even able to survive in this imperfect family that is vicious and bizarre most times with scheming; coming from a simple family like hers. It would really take a lot for her to see where Zain comes from ...the Grey Area between Black and White. This leads us to the second couple.
Couple 2 : The Testing and Adjustment Phase it is entering into - Zain and Aliya
Zain and Aliya continue to argue, each frustrated with other's extreme point...forced to use words such as .."Let it be"...and "I cant let it go" and finally explaining to each other from where they come. Both are right standing in their shoes. And that does not mean they do not understand where the other is coming from. Just that on some days, we just need to stand in our shoes for the sake of the cart like marriage to run with the two wheels like spouses run in motion and tandem. Since the hurt and love was so big in the wife's heart, just like in case of Nafeesa, Aliya continues to be upset with her husband.
Couple 3 : The Proposal made most unexpectedly when emotions get the better of you. This is Ayat and Rizwan.
Rizwaan proposed and Ayat has not yet disposed. She is thinking what she must do. And here they come running to their best friends cum best loved people for advise. True a marriage is such a big thing. How does one answer. Sometimes its easy ..and sometimes for independent and strong girls like Ayat (doll like and yet strong), its hard as they try to weigh in everything. I am happy again...coincidence or Plot clunk of story writing, but it has to be Zain again who gives out a suitable advice that suits Ayat's wavelength. Perhaps that is why Zain calls her his Doll. Their head works in similar ways...they are not afraid in bending rules as long as it serves their loved ones best interests and if there is no reason to hide anything, then why hide? ...so off Ayat comes running to Appi and there Jeeju gives the advice...lets speed off to Phoopa-Phoopi for permission.
The Interplay and Interactions
Each of the couple were interacting with the other...as in before Ayat and Rizwan's problem is resolved, they are all called into Nafeesa's room and everyone witnesses what goes on between Fahad and Nafeesa. They are not on talking terms. Nafeesa would not see an eye to Fahad, but she gets ready to do something nasty to Shazia. That shows, how Nafeesa still loves Fahad and expects something back. But this couple's problem...a grave issue indeed, does not dampen the commotion that Ayat and Rizwaan are having in their mind. Rizwaan and Zain have become hardened to Nafeesa's jilted relationship. For a while Rizwaan had been angry with Fahad, but after meeting Ayat, he has all forgotten about it.
Ayat and Rizwaan, continue to talk to Zain and Aliya. Again a state of flux of people entering realms of love. Now this new love brewing between Ayat and Rizwaan, was that patching up Zain and Aliya's hurt? Yes and No. They bring out their adversary spirit to get back at each other. It was lovely to watch. The enjoyable kitkit drives away Ayat in disappointment, but was fun to watch a cooler Rizwaan asking Zain to take time and running behind Ayat.
Is that all? No...we are yet to see Aliya-Zain getting sandwiched between Nafeesa and Fahad's failing marriage. Because if that not the reason, why Aliya gets into that accident? Chalo..we will see tomorrow, what further drama happens here.
Very good screenplay. Very good thought put behind the episode, blending three couples. The story written is so nice, that we can clearly leave out Shazia as the other wife of Fahad's. She doesn't come across as a couple with Fahad for even one second, and just looks as scheming woman. The dialogues added emotions of anger, hurt, fun, frustration and above all love in various shades and what it makes of you.
