So this is what the CVs had been building up for in the last few weeks - lies, loss of trust, disbelief, misunderstanding, test of loyalty and finally an emotional meltdown for both Ishita and Raman.

Ishita is a very strong soul - a very hardened person - after what life and people in her past did to her.She doesn't break easily and she bounces back very quickly - she has learnt to deal with blows life has to offer.Cvs had to justify her meltdown by repeatedly breaking her - which is what we saw in the last few weeks. Everytime she bounced back quickly to her old self because she trusted her own judgement of Raman more than anything else - that judgement which was based on all the happenings post Mihika engagement and Amma's accident.

But today was the final nail in the coffin - knowing that Raman knowingly lied to her and is protecting the person who he promised he will bring to justice - the person who hit Amma. And worst of all she got to know this from a third person.

But all this would never have affected Ishita as much if she didn't have any feelings for Raman. It would have been a replay of the DNA episode where she couldn't understand his actions and behavior either. He verbally hurt her, Ruhi and his family even then, but she reacted very differently - she was angry and disgusted with him but not hurt and broken.

Ishita - weren't you the one who was lecturing Raman that 'emotions are a reflection of the fact that you have feelings for a person - both hate and love are 2 sides of the same coin' - All your tears, your hurt and feeling of betrayal are all screaming your feelings out.😳.

You asking him to stay away from you - isn't that to protect yourself from getting hurt more?Isn't that what people who love each other say? Gosh what progression👏

Now coming to the star of your post Nikki and of the episode - Raman.

We all saw this coming - Raman resorting to the only thing that would help alleviate his pain - his drink.So welcome back 'the RKB we all know'😆 (Kinda been missing him a while now).

But..But...the moment he saw Ishita at his resort was the start of his meltdown.He had informed her of the picnic, even when he reached half way - he had told himself he didn't want her to know from a third person and then boom- his biggest fear came true, when his biggest lie was busted by a third person to Ishita.

RKB is an extremely emotional person - his anger, his outbursts at people close to him, his tears (Actually a line stood out for me today - when he said after Ishita leaves with Ruhi - that 'yeh aansoon main kisi aur ko dikha bhi nahi sakta - but he dares open his soul to Ishita everytime and he cries in front of her) are a way to deal with them.

Time and circumstances have hardened Raman too - but his way of dealing with it, unlike Ishita is to bottle them within and then victimize himself for being incompetent and worthless. This makes him strive harder (be it business or relations) but breaks his self esteem every damn time. And this is absolutely in character - great job here by KP showing this change in expressions today👏.

The moment he came drunk - the self pity and admonishing began - if you noticed he tried to physically hurt himself too - that was almost symbolic.This was the same RKB - the one who couldn't enjoy his CEO of the year award because of his ex, the one who couldn't see his daughter's affection for him (in the DNA track), the one who is blind to everything else when it comes to his son. Its nice to see the CVs decided to not show a U turn in RKB post the Ishita phase in the past few months - this version of Raman would always be a part of him - maybe deep within - since this is the effect of the deep scar left after Shagun's betrayal.

I would even go to the extent to say that if later there is a track where Raman professes his love for Ishita and she declines - we will see a re emergence of the low self esteem Raman at a different level - In any scenario, Raman would always first feel that it is his own weaknesses that are the reason for his problems - and that is a cancer that won't cure easily and would keep killing him from within.

The long long rant here 😆is only to make some points from the epi and your post that stood out for me.

One - why does Raman not just tell the truth to Ishita, even when she asks him in today's epi - My take on it is that while he can open up to her on a lot of things now - this lie and coverup is a shameful act - quite like the DNA track - he is ashamed of his weaknesses to the point where he fears that Ishita would be disgusted to see this ugly side of him. People can argue that she is anyways perceiving it from all that is happening - but him confessing and revealing this side of him is a different thing altogether (They have to come further in their eqn for that to happen). The fact that Adi maybe behind the accident is further a sign of his own weakness - as his son has done something so horrible - its as if he feels responsible and ashamed for that too.

Two - When Ishita asks him to stay away from her (twice😲), she says this to protect herself from getting hurt again - but he perceives this as being due to her seeing this ugly, shipwrecked, emotional side of him - which can't distinguish right from wrong. His horrified expression there - is that the one person who he thinks the world of - is disgusted with him. (Incidentally that is what he begins his drunken rant to her with - Nafrat karti ho na mujhse? - Even though she never said that - certainly not a editing error but quite in character for RKB😊).

So start of a long road to redemption for IshRa - but while both could have peacefully co existed in the facade of friendship and camradrie they had built in the last few months - this would shatter all their myths about each other but also make them begin a journey to heal each other.

Nikki you know my views on the whole accident track and we've discussed it so much lately I'm not going to talk about ti in this post😆 else this will become a dissertation.

What i do want to post on is Raman and Karan's portrayal of him tonight. Before i get started though i know this is Raman centric but i just want to say that Divyanka really really impressed me tonight. She was fab.

Back to Raman- the moment Ishita says to Ruhi that is everything is finished, the expression on his face. The montage of when she she is in the car and he is sat on the floor, hitting against the chair (in effect mirroring his inner battle/conflict) was just simply fantastic. KP managed to in such a few moments reduce me to complete tears. There was no dialogue, there was no one else there. It was just the 'audience' witnessing Raman's break down. I think I'm going to run out of adjectives to describe KP's performance tonight at this rate.

The whole 'drunk exchange' was full of passion, anger, frustration. He truly has reached the darkest depths. He thought she would understand him, but the pain in knowing that she doesn't is so heart breaking to him. I'm so so happy that he said it out loud and proud that he is 'majboor' all his recent actions have not been out of choice- it is majboori. I'ts called the love of a parent. It's just in Raman's case because of his history with Adi he doesn't deal with things in the same that perhaps others would.

Raman was cursing at himself tonight, he had believed that he moved back into the light, only for the darkness to emerge and this time fully submerge him it it.

As an audience we are so lucky to be able to see someone of KP's calibre on our screens each night. I hope that the rest of this year continues in the same fashion as it has done recently and for him to reap all the benefits he so deserves.

Nikki to finish off this was one of your most heart felt posts 🤗🤗 and what I'm most happy about is that I'm able to respond tonight 😳

TBH, apart from that Raman consoling the bimbo scene, I didn't find Raman entirely wrong anywhere in this track.
Not saying what he did is right, but we should also try to see the other side of the coin.
In first place, he doesn't need to give explainations of his emotions that he has for his own blood Adi.
Still, if we cant appreciate him for TRYING to balance his Father-Husband status, atleast we can make sure that he is not falsely accused
Man, its not about right or wrong, but its all about human emotions.
A man known for his principles, if is hiding truth in his full sense, then shouldn't a chance of doubt must be given to him that why and for whom he is doing it.
Now he has to ask permission from the entire world when he should love his son and when to not ?!
He knew Ishu has a big heart but still he found it difficult to tell her the truth or take Adi's side on her face as in the process he thought its Ishu who'll get hurt or feel dejected in the long run.
He thought of avoiding this come her way.
More than protecting Adi, he was more concerned about Ishu.
His final breakdown saying that he's been misunderstood all the time for his love for Adi. I'll never buy this lie.
The breakdown was coz of only reason, his strength i.e. Ishu is not with him.
All these days he was hiding truth and feeling miserable to do illegal things against his principles, then why there was no breakdown that time? Just because Ishu was with him all these days and it kept him going!
And, he kept on doing nautanki last night, so that he can convince her one or other way to support him and be with him forever.
Look at his shakal when she told him to stay away from her. Why is that even bothering him at this moment when he should be preoccupied with only Adi's thoughts.
Half the breakdown was for hurting Ishu and half was for losing her.
Could see Ishu's pain and hurt in his each tear and each word in last night episode.

Writers have done a fab job during this track but its just that it got stretched way too beyond limit.

Oh God.I felt SO bad for IshRa.😭
I dont feel Raman was completely wrong.Yes,he was wrong only for not trusting Ishita enough to tell her the truth.But if i would've been in his place,I would've probably done the same thing.Who would dare to tell the truth?😕The lady who got hit was her Amma.How can he go and tell her directly?😲 That brat,who never talked to him politely,never addressed him as his dad,who even went ahead and told him that officially he aint his dad either,was litterally begging in front of him to save his mom😲.How can he ignore his own son's request?He knows how much Adi is attached to shagun.And dusre taraf hai Ishita.She is that person who brought his life on track..He knew he was being unfair to her.He knew in a way he was betraying her by hiding the truth.But its not like he never felt guilty about it😕.I see some posts saying he deserved it😕.Hell no.He doesnt.Ever since he got to know the truth,his guilt was very much visible on his face.That guilt kept on killing him every day.Except for that phone call scene he never smiled.He had absolutely NO ONE to share his feelings with😲.He was simply botteling up his feelings which resulted in this breakdown.
Ishita's breakdown scene was also BRILLIANT👏.DT was excellent👏.She is clearly not hurt cz Shagun was the one whot hit Amma,but that Raman hid such an IMPORTANT thing from her.It was like itna saath diya and aakhir me jab sach pata chal gaya toh saath chod diya for her.She wont trust him anymore now.He has to gain that trust again.
"Uss aurat ko dhoka diya jisne mera ghar sambhaala,wo bhi uss aurat ke liye,jo mere zindagi me koi maayne nahi rakhti."
^This statement said it all.
Hearing Raman's voice she immediately ran to bring him home.Seeing her there he stopped creating ruckus for some time.He then went on blaming himself.He knows her lost her trust.Completely.He thinks that she might be hating him.And that thought is killing him.And God.They way he folded his hands and apologised.I cant even say how much bad i felt.🥺
The"Mujhe sahaara nahi chahiye" statement had a lot of significance.Stairs pe girne se pehele he said that.And uske baad when he fell down,she immediately held him and gave him support.This was just an indication ki jab bhi Raman ko sahara chahiye hoga,she will always be there to sambhaalofy him.

Each and every word Ishu said pricked his heart like a thorn.And when she said to stay away from her,he was shattered.

PS.Raman should stop agreeing to all of Adi's demands.Giving in to every demand of your son is NOT a solution.He can't make Adi love him this way.He himself said na once ke-"Agar Ishita ki acchayi dikhne ke liye shagun ka andhera dikhna zaruri hai." waise hi Raman ki acchai dikhne ke liye Adi ke saamne uske mom ki burai dikhni zaruri hai.Tabse he will start respecting raman.

Finally I'm back after watching the breakdown scene several times. I can't recall whether I have seen any male lead being so vulnerable and breaking down emotionally so much as Raman did yesterday.

Everytime Ishita breaks, Raman shatters into thousand piece internally. She had Bala and now Toshi ji as her solace but Raman has lost his only solace, Ishita. When he agreed to go against his principle for the love of his son, he knew he was going to fall in the eyes of Ishita but he never realize he would fall deep into a dungeon, where it is almost impossible to redeem himself in front of Ishita or her family.

Raman's anger has always been his armor against his vulnerability but yesterday he was beginning to lose it. He avoids her eyes,because the moment he sees Ishita, his anger vanishes and his tears replaces it. The scene where Raman and Ishita breaking down and crying at their respective place was indeed heart wrenching. Even the alcohol couldn't help him forget his guilt. Even at the drunken state, he became speechless when he saw Ishita. He tried to beg for her forgiveness, tell her his state of mind which he failed to do when he was sane. He also knows that the scars he has caused her can't be healed by his sorry but he didn't want to miss any chance.

Ishita who stepped in as Mrs Bhalla for the sake of Ruhi was finally pleading to hear that she was not sirf Ruhi's ma but also his patni. Raman went silent when his voice was most needed by Ishita. Now when he needed her the most, she wanted him away from her. She told him that she doesn't deserve it, but the bitter truth is even Raman doesn't deserve the agony he is going thru. Just like how a maternal responsibility always precedes for a mother, Raman's paternal responsibility is precedes his responsibility to his wife.

Hats off to KP and DT for their outstanding and mind-blowing performance. They have proved that as the best jodi, they have not only captured the hearts of the viewers with their chemistry but also with their emotional breakdowns.

The colour black is more than appropriate for this post today 😭and I can imagine how relieved you must have been, considering you were waiting for this scene to happen for a long time. I remember reading some of your posts, screaming for this to happen. SO congratulations 😃

The track has given us some fine IshRa moments, beautiful conversations and shown us a glimpse of how pure and lovely their relationship would look like under normal circumstances. So from a pure IshRa perspective it was an eye-opener for me. The acting has been top-notch and without this track we wouldnt have seen such excellent acting from the entire cast, not jut KP and DT

I wouldn't call it the best track because, as a writer and an 'analyser' I see loopholes in the characterisation and the plot in this track. Not to mention the length of this track, it has become almost unbearable. But that shouldn't keep me from applauding its necessity and worth.

Yesterday's breakdown scene was really paisa vasool. Like you, I was waiting to see how Raman would bottom out. You need something like this, before you can get up and start going again.Once this has happened, now there is no where to go except up. Let the healing begin.

KP's acting and the dialogues were too good. I have said as much on Vyas' post also, so I won't repeat everything here 😊

The only song that has been playing in my head for the last few days is this one. And i was waiting for your post to put this entire song in. I believe almost all the song (i didnt put in one para in here because it won't be in the right context) is perfect for his situation. And I couldnt believe the coincidence when you chose Jagjit Singh too!!!

So the next question arises why is he not sharing the same with Ishu? Afterall she knows how much he loves his son. Now thats the point. Here lets assume that it was not Shagun/Adi who did the accident of amma but Ruhi. Would Raman ever hide it from Ishu? NEVER! Because he knows that Ishu is as protective for Ruhi as he is. Had Ruhi done the accident Ishu would see the case from a totally different angle. It would be a case of daughter v/s mother for Ishu. But that does not apply for Adi. Adi is the weak link of IshRa because Ishu became the mother of only Raman's one child. Not the other. And that is RAMAN's BIGGEST INSECURITY. He is scared would his ever righteous and forgiving wife be able to support "just his son" in the same way she supports the rest of his family and "their daughter".And this one insecurity brings the whole devastation in the relationship of this tormented couple.

Talking abt last night, Raman was on the verge of this breakdown since many days now. His only hope was Ishu still by his side and her trust being strong in him though hiding the truth from her killed him inside. But when he saw her confidence in him getting shattered tht too she knowing the truth from an outsider all the forces he used to hold himself back broke hell. Her tears made him hate himself. For her it was just the pain of her husband breaking her trust.But for him, it was the pain of having to chose between his wife and his son...the pain of hurting the woman who gave him blind trust and love...it was the pain of failing as a husband.

At the end I would say I am finally finding meaning in this not so likeable accident track. I am glad cvs gave it this turn. There are still many things in ishra relationship which they need to sort.There are unsaid insecurities and unimagined expectations.When this alliance happened no one ever thought abt the scenario of these two actually falling in love. Ishu was nothing more than Ruhi's mother for either of them.But with new angles...new emotions...new expectations...new meaning of relationships, the dynamics had to change! And thus this initial inertia had to be broken for them to realize that if they really wanna live the life of Mr and Mrs Raman Bhalla and not just Ruhi's parents, they better resolve all the unforeseen intricacies in their relationship - like Adi!
