Aryaman Rathore: An analysis

So.. Aryaman Rathore. I cannot believe a look-alike of Anshuman is actually inspiring something out of me. Trust Iqbal Khan to make out-of-the-blue characters interesting enough to write upon. This man is so immensely talented. Aryaman may look like Anshuman's Xerox copy but that is where the similarity ends. I haven't seen Iqbal's work before this show (Rather unfortunate) but the way he owns both Anshuman and Aryaman is absolutely incredible. I honestly have so much respect for the amount of work he puts in a character. Okay this isn't meant to be a gushfest on Iqbal Khan this is supposed to be about Aryaman. In one word, Aryaman is... Interesting. He is goofy, filmy, manipulative, smart, shady and yet oddly transparent. He's not much of a talker, he keeps to himself... Infact the only person with whom he doesn't have his gaurd up is a child. He spends most of his time with Ayaan, who as we found out is someone he actually plans on kidnapping. He's such a quirky guy overall. What I find most interesting about Aryaman is his transparency. He's pretending to be a son of this family yet he makes no attempt in getting them to like him. He keeps them at a distance. He doesn't pretend to be something he is not. He is what he is. The rest of the world be damned. His flaws are not hidden from the family. He doesn't lie alot either. When he disapproves of something he voices it. He doesn't necessarily care too much about what everyone thinks of him for it. His transparency clashes so much with the ulterior motive he clearly has and I guess I find that interesting. Also, for someone who wants to kidnap Ayaan.. there are no dangerous airs about him. He actually comes across as very harmless. Like someone who simply lives this life because he has to. Not because he chooses to. For example, what he said about his smoking habit clearly indicates that the way Aryaman is, is more a product of circumstances not because of some kind of darkness that he carries in his heart. Atleast those are the vibes I get from him. There are lots of questions surrounding this guy and I for one would love to get some answers. I still want to know the story behind the coin toss.

Ofcourse... Iqbal... Uff what an actor you are. Be it the twitchy body language, the filmyness, the dialect, the furtive, calculating look in his eyes as he measures up people... Iqbal Khan pulls it off so effortlessly. He must have gotten a few days at the most to get under the skin of this character yet he makes it look like he's been playing the role for atleast as long as he's been playing Anshuman.

Thank you for sharing this incredible gift you have with all of us. I don't know if Aryaman is here on a temporary basis or he'll stay with the show till the end but thank you for making such a bizarre track interesting simply through your portrayal of the character. Its funny how you take roles I probably wouldn't like in the hands of a lesser actor and turn them into something worth paying attention to. You made me love Anshuman and I like Aryaman too. Thank you for being you. I love you lots!

Aryaman's character is surely interesting, and definitely not a character you'd look over. His background story does really add a lot of depth to his character. All his actions, the way he talks, his views are clearly shown by Iqbal which were influenced by Aaryaman's life experiences.

What you picked up on, which I hadn't picked up on was him spending a lot of time with Aayan, shows a lot more about his character. I guess the only person he seems to trust is a child, because a child is always considered innocent. He does have some qualities of a child who has not grown up.

I am liking the character too, and all the characters that have been placed in front of us by the CVs have always been something fresh and crisp. Let's wait and watch and enjoy his character while it lasts. 😆

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who finds him interesting. 😆 And yes some of his ways do resemble that of a child. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Your comment made me remember something I meant to share.. let me go edit my post. 😆

Maham very well you have analyzed the Aryaman,s character and you are right . He is not faking love for his long lost family . Does not shy away from expressing his views when Lavanya was complaining about Girish ,this is his upbringing . He is does not like woman having any say in business matters . This one is mine first show with Iqbal and he really has totally impressed me with his acting skills . Its not easy job to play two different character where you can forget the other one when watching the first . As for flipping coin , its quite common when someone wants to make decision to go for it . then its tales or head . He thinks something and then flips te coin to see if go for it . He is smart fellow . He is friendly with Ayaan so that it will be easy for him to take him away either as Anshuman or himself . where is the problem in kidnapping . But just feel he has some bigger plan . Money he can always ask for as he is supposed to be son of family

TP always comes with surprises .

Maham love you for such a great analysis with lot of thoughts. Yes we acannot just hate or ignore this aaryman . and of course Iqbal is a brilliant actor . I just wonder both the iqbal in one frame yet we can make out the difference so clearly from the body language the look the posture and the eyes.
I am totally in awe with this person Iqbal not now but from the days of Kaisa Yeh pyaar hai .
In fact I never watch any serials . But Iqbal forced me to see kyph and I am lost and abig fan of him. I never miss any shows of him In fact I only watch his shows, since I know I am going to get entertained whatever may be the story or plot. He has never failed. I would rather suggest u to look at his other shows as well then u can see this actor is beyond any comparison. I wondere why he has not reached there where he truely deserves right at the top.
Maham your analysis and posts and vms are quite mesmerising too looking forward
